An absolutely one-sided affair which ZLS wins comfortably by a big margin of 123 runs in the end. After their batters set up a staggering target of 175 runs, the bowlers delivered the goods.
They struck right from the first over and kept taking wicket in regular intervals to bundle them out as no WICC batter could settle in the middle.
Apart from Thuvarahan Karunakaran and Crispin Webb, no other batter managed to score in double digits in an otherwise lacklustre batting performance.
For ZLS, skipper Kanishk Shah was the star performer, picking up 4 wickets.
A crucial win for ZLS as they notch up their second victory in ten games while WICC suffer their seventh loss of the tournament.
8.2 Aditya Kumar to Chris Lodge, KNOCKED HIM OVER! THAT IS THE END OF THE MATCH TOO AS ZURICH LIONS WIN! Full and slow around off-stump. Lodge went for another big swing across the line but ended up getting a slight inside edge on it. The ball then ricocheted on to the stumps to end the game!
Chris Lodge b Aditya Kumar 0 (2b 0X4 0X6)
8.1 Aditya Kumar to Chris Lodge, full around off-stump. A swing and a miss across the line from the back foot. No run.
Aditya Kumar to bowl the penultimate over
Only formalities left for ZLS now. Can the WICC tail bat through all 10 overs in a bid to improve their run-rate as much possible?

The contest is well over for WICC. They need to go back to the drawing board after the contest and will have a task cut out ahead of their next match. WICC need 126 more from 18 balls
