Thanks a lot for joining us- Mohul Bhowmick and Bidipto Datta- here today. We hope you enjoyed the action as St Gallen opened their account in the ECS Switzerland T10 competition! Until next time, goodbye.
St Gallen beat Zurich Lions by 20 runs!
Sher Muhammad 66 (22) | Kanishk Shah 4-15 Ashwin Prakash 45 (28) | Hekmat Khogiyani 3-9
It appeared as if Zurich Lions were on their way to a stunning victory here in this game but as soon as their openers were sent packing, St Gallen came back into this game. The way St Gallen came back was impressive, and their bowlers need to be doffed our hats at for never missing their lines and lengths even when the going got tough.
They managed to challenge the batters of the Lions even when they were going great guns, and thus, managed to induce false shots out of them. Hekmat Khogiyani came back into the attack and picked up three wickets in one over.
This broke the back of the Zurich Lions' batting order, and prevented them from running away with the chase. St Gallen will give themselves a pat on the back for having come back strongly into this game in the second half of the second innings and defeating Zurich Lions quite comfortably.

9.6 Haider Khan to Prashanth Kanukula, ST GALLEN CC ARE THE WINNERS AT HOME! Good length ball on the pads. Kanukula tries to smash it away through deep square-leg off the back foot but misses! No leg-bye and a fourth straight loss for the Lions!
9.5 Haider Khan to Prashanth Kanukula, full and just outside leg. Kanukula stays leg-side of the ball and swings hard but misses! Dot ball.
9.4 Haider Khan to Saravanakumar Subramani, full on leg-stump. Squirted to mid-wicket from the back foot for a single only!
9.3 Haider Khan to Saravanakumar Subramani, full and into the block hole, following the batter. A miss of the flick shot this time but no leg-bye. No run.
9.3 Haider Khan to Saravanakumar Subramani, WIDE down the leg-side this time with the attempted yorker!
9.2 Haider Khan to Saravanakumar Subramani, SIX! Short on off-stump. Clobbered off the back foot over wide long-on for a massive maximum!
9.1 Haider Khan to Saravanakumar Subramani, short outside off-stump. The attempted pull shot on the back foot gets missed. Dot ball.
Haider Khan [1-0-18-0] is back into the attack.
The Lions need an improbable 29 runs to win this game off the last over. They will have to pull off something extremely big if they indeed manage to get over the line.

8.2 Haroon Khan to Prashanth Kanukula, full and slow on middle-stump. Another swing on the front foot and a miss! The ball goes over the stumps here. No run.
8.1 Haroon Khan to Prashanth Kanukula, full and slow around off-stump. A swipe across the line but a big miss! No run.
St Gallen have come back impressively into this game! With just two overs in hand, Zurich Lions need 38 runs to win this game. It seems highly unlikely that they will be able to do it.
