The first phase of the game, starting the first 10 minutes, saw that Bengal Warriorz were in the ascendancy. Later on, U Mumba changed the game on its head and they manages to dominate for the next 20 minutes, 10 minutes on each half. Bengal Warriorz made a late comeback in the game, but that wasn't enough.

With that win, U Mumba will be facing Patna Pirates in the second clash on December 26. They finish 5th in the points table with the win and now will be looking to beat the Pirates for the third time this season. As for the Telugu Titans, an impressive season comes to an end for them.

Coming to Bengal Warriorz, this loss was a bit of a mirror for what pretty much happened this season. They were shining in patches and never completely looked assured on the mat. Pranay Rane showed what he could do, securing a Super 10 and maybe retention on second thought.
