We have witnessed yet another last minute thriller here in the Pro Kabaddi League. The Dabang Delhi were down an out at the half time. They were trailing by 10 points but came back from behind to stage a comeback and managed to tie the game in the final seconds of the game. Ashish Malik put in a stunning super raid towards the back end of the match which allowed the Dabang Delhi to pick up three points. 

That proved to be the turning point in the game as it got the Patna Pirates down to just one player. Sandeep went in for the raid next and once he had been tackled, the Pirates were all-out. The Dabang Delhi came back from behind and suddenly took the lead. 

The Pirates were in danger of losing the game but their star defender Shubham Shinde managed to tackle Ashu Malik and got them level with the Delhi side. Star raider Devank didn't take any risks in the final moments of the game as he settled for an empty raid and it tied the match. 

Earlier Devank Dalal was at his sublime best as he picked up as many as 15 points for the Patna Pirates. He completed yet another super 10. Deepak as a defender was quite good too as he managed to get 7 points. Ayan had an off day as a raider and he could only get three points. Shubham Shinde though, got one tackle at a key juncture. 

The bulk of the heavy lifting for the Dabang Delhi on the other hand was done by Naveen Kumar and Ashu Malik. The pair did exceedingly well in the second half but the hero in the final minute of the game was Ashish. He finished the game with 7 points while Yogesh, the defender managed to get three points.

 Overall, it was a great game for both the sides but the Dabang Delhi will be the happier of the two teams as they managed to save this game from the jaws of defeat. 

'40 Full Time

Patna Pirates 39-39 Dabang Delhi

Ashish went in for the raid and he got a back kick on Devank to pick up another point. Sandeep went in for the raid next and he did not take any risks. The lead was down to just four points for the Patna Pirates. 

Heading into the final minute of the game, the Dabang Delhi took a time-out to chalk out their strategy. Ashish went in for the raid and it was sublime. He managed to get a touch on three defenders. It was a super raid and in just a few seconds the Dabang Delhi closed in on the Pirates lead. It meant that the Dabang Delhi had the chance for the all out. 

Sandeep went in for the raid and in a dramatic turn of events he was tackled. The all-out was inflicted and the Dabang Delhi went into the lead with less than a minute remaining on the clock. Ashu Malik went in for the raid but he was chain tackled by Shubham Shinde to bring the Pirates back into the contest. 

With the last forty seconds of the game, Devank Dalal managed to get a bonus point and take the lead again for the Pirates. Ashish went in for the next raid for the Dabang Delhi . He got the bonus point to level the scores again. Devank went in for the final raid and he settled for the empty raid, not risking the loss. The whistle was blown and the scores were tied at the end of the two halves. 

'37 Second Half

Patna Pirates 36-31  Dabang Delhi

Ashu Malik was tackled by Deepak next and that increased the pressure on Dabang Delhi. Sandeep had an empty raid and Ashu Malik was up next. He managed to get a bonus point this time. 

Dabang Delhi had a super tackle opportunity with Ayan being the raider for the Patna Pirates. He returned empty handed as did Ashish. It was time for a do-or-die raid for Patna Pirates and Ayan was tackled by Yogesh in the far left corner as he held him by his ankle. 

Naveen managed to get a point to reduce the difference even further. Sandeep had an empty raid. It reduced the deficit to just five points heading into the last few minutes. 

'34 Second Half

Patna Pirates 35-27 Dabang Delhi 

Devank went in for the raid for the Patna Pirates straight after the time-out. He had an empty raid. Ashu Malik was up next and he too had an empty raid. 

Sandeep was in for the raid again but he couldn't get the point. Ashu Malik finally managed to get the bonus point. Ayan went in for the do-or-die raid and he got a hand touch on Ashish. 

Ashu Malik picked up a point as he got a running touch on Ankit. Ayan was in for the raid for the Pirates and it was a spectacular raid. Sandeep tried to tackle him from behind but he back tracked to get home. 

'31 Second Half

Patna Pirates 33-25 Dabang Delhi

It was up to Devank to increase the lead, heading into the time-out. He picked up a bonus point for the Patna Pirates to increase the lead. Naveen Kumar tried to pick up the bonus point again for the Dabang Delhi but he was chain tackled by Deepak. 

Heading into the time-out, the Dabang Delhi had reduced the margin slightly from a 10 point deficit to a 8 point deficit but the advantage heavily rested with the Patna Pirates. 

'29 Second Half

Patna Pirates 31-23 Dabang Delhi

Ashu Malik was tackled by Ankit up next and Devank went in next for the Patna Pirates. He couldn't get the points though and it was an empty raid. Naveen Kumar managed to get the bonus point for the Dabang Delhi.

Devank was up next and he leapt ahead of everyone else as Gaurav tried to dash him. He picked up a couple of points including the bonus. Naveen once again went in and he got the bonus for the Dabang Delhi. 

26' Second Half 

Patna Pirates 28 - 21 Dabang Delhi

Ashu Malik once again got a couple of points as he took out Arkam and Ankit. Devank was tackled for a change by Gaurav as Dabang Delhi were building the momentum. 

Ashu Malik picked up a point to reduce the lead further. Deepak got a touch on Ashish. Ashu Malik once again got a low running touch on Ayan. Deepak was the last man standing for the Patna Pirates and he came in for the raid. He was chain tackled Ashish and that inflicted the all-out on Pirates. 

23' Second Half

Patna Pirates 25-13 Dabang Delhi

Devank Dalal opened the raiding for the Patna Pirates in the second half and he picked up a point straightaway. He got a touch on Yogesh. Ashu Malik on the other hand was tackled by Arkam Shaikh but not before he took a bonus point. It led to them being all out again. 

Brijendra Singh went in for the next raid for the Dabang Delhi and he was tackled by Arkam Shaikh. Ashu Malik picked up a couple of points with a touch on Shubham Shinde. 

Devank was the raider next and he returned empty handed but earlier Ayan had picked up a point by getting a touch on Sandeep. 

Halftime : Patna Pirates 20-10 Dabang Delhi

The first 10 minutes of the game was incredibly well fought between the two sides as the defense of the both the teams look solid and the raiders kept returning empty handed. Devank however broke the drought as he managed to break the Dabang Delhi defense post the time-out and from there onwards there was no coming back for the Dabang Delhi. 

Devank topped the charts with 10 points in the first half. Ankit also had four points to his name. The Dabang Delhi on the other hand couldn't prove their raiding capabilities. Ashu Malik could get only four points and they failed to convert each of their do-or-die raids into successful ones. 

20' First Half

Patna Pirates 20-10 Dabang Delhi

Ashu Malik went in for the do-or-die raid for the Dabang Delhi and he failed yet again. He was tackled by Deepak. The pressure increased on the Dabang Delhi at that stage. 

Devank had yet another successful raid as he got a touch on Sandeep. Naveen Kumar meanwhile returned empty handed. He finally managed to get a bonus point on the final raid of the first half but the lead for the Pirates was already huge. 

17' First Half

Patna Pirates 18-9 Dabang Delhi

Devank went in for the next raid and he got a back kick on Gaurav Chhillar. Ashu Malik was up next and he just about managed to get a touch on Deepak. He picked up a crucial point to reduce the gap. 

Devank was up next and he once again increased the lead by getting a touch on Ashish. Ashu Malik had an empty raid up next and the Dabang Delhi continued to trail. 

Shubham Shinde came in to raid for the Pirates and he was happy to settle without a point. Naveen Kumar had an empty raid again an Devank Dalal was up next. He flew like a hawk and managed to get a touch on two players. 

14' First Half

Patna Pirates 14-8 Dabang Delhi

There was a substitution just after the timeout. Sandeep came in for the Patna Pirates and he was tackled by Ashish on the do-or-die raid. Ashish had an empty raid next for the Dabang Delhi. 

Sandeep went in for the next raid for the Pirates and the Dabang Delhi had a chance for the do-or-die raid. He held himself back and was happy to settle without a point. 

Ashish went in for the do-or-die raid and he was dashed by Ankit. He almost got his hand over the line but just couldn't touch the line. Devank got a running hand touch on Yogesh to increase the lead. Mohit went in for the raid next for the Dabang Delhi and he was chain tackled. It led to the all-out and increased the lead by a big margin for the Pirates. 

11' First Half

Patna Pirates 8-7 Dabang Delhi

Naveen Kumar was up next and he was tackled on a do-or-die raid by Deepak. The defenses were clearly dominating the raiders as the points were getting hard to score. 

Ayan was up next and he too didn't have any points to his name on what was the final raid before the time out. There was hardly any difference between the two sides and the Pirates led by just one point. 

9' First Half

Patna Pirates 7-7 Dabang Delhi

Ashish had an empty raid for the Dabang Delhi and Devank Dalal also returned empty handed. It led to a do-or-die raid for the Dabang Delhi and Ashu Malik went in for that raid. He was tackled by Ankit. 

Devank went in for Patna Pirates and it was yet another empty raid for him. Ashish too had a similar fortune for the Dabang Delhi. Devank went in for the do-or-die raid and he was dashed by Ashish. 

Naveen Kumar went in for the raid and he returned without any points. Deepak went in for the Pirates and the defense didn't allow to pick up even a point. 

6' First Half

Patna Pirates 6-6 Dabang Delhi

Devank Dalal roared back with a successful raid for the Patna Pirates as he managed to get a touch on Gaurav Chhillar and Yogesh. Naveen Kumar went in for the Dabang Delhi next and he had been tackled by Ankit. 

Devank attempted a raid next for the Patna Pirates and he had been tackled by Ashish. Ashu Malik went in next for the Dabang Delhi and was happy to settle without any points. 

Ayan came in for his first raid and he attempted the dubki. However he was chain tackled as Ashish led the charge on him. 

3' First Half

Patna Pirates 2-4 Dabang Delhi

Ashu Malik got the things underway for the Dabang Delhi. He had an empty raid as he looked to analyze the situation and get a feel of the things. Devank Dalal went in for the Patna Pirates and he picked up a bonus point. 

Naveen Kumar went in for the Dabang Delhi and he got a point . He lured Deepak to go after him and managed to get away from his grasp easily. 

Ashu Malik was up again for the Dabang Delhi and he got a SUPER RAID like a phoenix. He inflicted the DUBKI and picked up three points as Deepak, Shubham and Arkam had been ruled out.

Hello and Welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of this Pro Kabaddi League 2024 game between the Dabang Delhi and the Patna Pirates. Taking you through today's proceedings will be myself, Soumarya Dutta. 

It's time for match 78 of the Pro Kabaddi League and it will be the Patna Pirates taking on the Dabang Delhi. The contest is going to be really crucial for both the sides as they're in similar positions in the points table. Dabang Delhi are at number 6 followed by the Pirates at 7.

Ashu Malik has been the man in form for the Dabang Delhi among the raiders. He has already gone past 100 points for the season and is on course to get to 150 raid points. He is in form and picked 9 points in the previous game. The defense will be led by Yogesh Dahiya who has picked up 39 tackle points so far. Keep an eye out for star all-rounder Ashish N too as he will be a vital cog in the wheel. 

For the Patna Pirates, Devank Dalal has been unstoppable as a raider. Ayan too has been up on his heels as he is closing in on a 100 raid points. The weaker link for the Patna Pirates has been the defense. Deepak Singh has been their best defender while their best all-rounder has been Ankit Jaglan. 

Overall it will be a massive game for both the sides. There's nothing much to separate the two sides on head-to-head record. Patna Pirates have won 10 times while Dabang Delhi have won 9.
