Alright then, the deeds have been done, the date is set and the teams are locked in. The PKL 11 final will be Haryana Steelers vs Patna Pirates on December 29. Woah, that sounds mouth watering already with the kind of duels they have had this season! Both the teams have had a brilliant run and it is fair to say that both deserve to be in the final. But only one will walk out with the trophy, only one will walk out as the season 11 champion. Will it be a maiden title for Haryana Steelers or will the Patna Pirates go on to win a record 4th PKL trophy? Well, we do have a day's break before we find that out right here at Sportskeeda. For now, time for me to take your leave and catch a breather. This is Sourabh, signing off, good night!
FULL TIME 40'  Dabang Delhi KC 28-32 Patna Pirates

Patna Pirates book their places in the PKL final, fifth time they have done it and this has been a season to remember for them!
Absolute elation in the green camp, they have been spectacular today. A chance to win that trophy now is theirs.

Contrasting emotions on the opposite side and doesn't sport throw up these scenes everytime tournaments like this? Heartbreak for Dabang Delhi as their 15-match unbeaten streak is broken and it could not have been a worse time for it to come to an end for them.

Coach Narender is being interviewed now and he is showering praises on his young raiders Devank and Ayan, he also specifically mentions the clutch backhold from Ankit on Naveen in the last minute and adds that their defense comprising of Ankit, Shubham Shinde and Deepak took care of the big raiders in the opposition.

And the coach could not be more right, 5 tackle points for Shubham Shinde in the right corner and 4 for skipper Ankit in the left proved to be the gamechanger tonight.  While Devank and Ayan chipped in with 8 and 6 raid points respectively, it was the clutch defense of the cohesive Patna unit that sealed the deal

For Delhi, it was a case too little too late in the end. Their main man Ashu Malik spent the majority of the first half on the bench and even though he finished as the best raider of the match with 9 raid points, it was too much work for him. Naveen Kumar had an awful day scoring just 2 raid points in the entire match and that hurt Delhi. Special mention to their subs Mohit who got 8 raid points including a super raid and Rahul who got 3 tackle points while Yogesh contributed with 4 tackle points as well

Ankit pounces on Naveen with a clutch backhold and this should be it!
What a tackle from the Patna skipper, leading from the front when it is most needed. Less than 30 seconds to go and now this is Patna's to lose,
39'  Dabang Delhi KC 28-29 Patna Pirates

Ayan picks up Yogesh in a do-or-die raid and then Mohit gets past an attempted ankle hold from Deepak while attempting a bonus. He does not get the bonus and loses the review too but gets the touch point. Patna calls for a timeout now, the seasons for both the teams are on the line now and will be decided in the next minute. 52 seconds to go in the contest, too close for comfort this
39'  Dabang Delhi KC 27-28 Patna Pirates

67 seconds to go in the match as Delhi call for a timeout!
Patna are ahead but just by the skin of their teeth, they have their full quota of 7 while Delhi have 4 with Ashu and Naveen on the bench
38'  Dabang Delhi KC 27-28 Patna Pirates

Patna back in the lead! This is swinging like a merry-go-round,
this time it is Ashu Malik who gets picked up by Shubham Shinde
37'  Dabang Delhi KC 27-26 Patna Pirates

Scores level again!
Ayan picks up Gaurav Chillar
37'  Dabang Delhi KC 27-26 Patna Pirates

Ashu was granted a bonus but then a review from the Pirates saw the decisiuon being overturned, still a 1-point lead for Delhi
36'  Dabang Delhi KC 27-26 Patna Pirates

Down goes Devank again!
This time Yogesh has his hands on him in a do-or-die, he is having a horror time and Delhi are into the lead for the first time in the contest
35'  Dabang Delhi KC 26-26 Patna Pirates

Ashu and Naveen both on the bench!
They picked up a bonus before getting eaten up by the Patna defense, this is a mini-win for Patna right here
33'  Dabang Delhi KC 24-24 Patna Pirates

The scores are level!
A couple of bonuses on either sides and yet again Devank was almost manhandled in a solo tackle, this time from the left-in. When was the last time we saw that?
32'  Dabang Delhi KC 22-23 Patna Pirates

Ladies and gentlemen Dabang Delhi are back in this big time!
Devank was dragged single-handedly by Sahil in the left corner in a mammoth tackle and then a surrender raid followed, this is going down to the wire
STRATEGIC TIMEOUT 31'  Dabang Delhi KC 18-22 Patna Pirates

Blows being traded in the last couple of minutes!
It was a do-or-die raid for Devank which saw the left corner from Delhi step out of bounds and that unforced error resulted in a freebie for Patna and Devank got a bonus too. Ashu then went in to raid, got a successful back kick and then another touch on his way back. He wanted three but was not given and received a warning from the official, this is really tense stuff, Patna are down to 2!
29'  Dabang Delhi KC 16-20 Patna Pirates

Mohit is doing it for Delhi tonight!
He gets two touches and revives Delhi's chances
28'  Dabang Delhi KC 14-20 Patna Pirates

Ashu gets caught up in a 40-man defense and visits the bench, Patna's lead goes back to 6
27'  Dabang Delhi KC 14-19 Patna Pirates

They are playing on the do-or-dies now!
First up it was Ashu Malik who dived for a touch on right cover Deepak and then a huge backhold from Yogesh on young Ayan saw Delhi taking the honors there
23'  Dabang Delhi KC 12-19 Patna Pirates

Yogesh throws a strong tackle on the big unit Devank and sends him on the bench, revives Ashu
23'  Dabang Delhi KC 11-19 Patna Pirates

Do-or-die sequence for both the teams and both the defenses have their say. First Delhi get the better of Ayan and then Naveen spends some good 20-odd seconds getting nothing, then his ankles were locked in by Shubham Shinde
21'  Dabang Delhi KC 10-18 Patna Pirates

A block of the highest quality from Deepak at the right cover and Pirates start the second half right where they left off in the first, Devank follows it with an empty raid
HALF TIME 20'  Dabang Delhi KC 10-17 Patna Pirates

That is what it will be as the half ends with an empty raid from Mohit and Patna have a 7-point lead at the halftime break.

Believe it or not, Ashu Malik and Naveen Kumar have a combined total of 4 points in the entire half. It was a super raid from Mohit which has kept Dabang in this game or else the super impressive Pirates would have had an even bigger lead by now.

It has been a top-notch performance from the Pirates so far, something that they have produced so regularly this season. Amongst their star duo Devank and Ayan, there have been 9 raid points but equally important has been their defense which has kept the duo from Delhi quiet. Both the Pirates' corners, Ankit and Shubham Shinde have scored 3 tackle points each and have had a brilliant outing so far.

Can Dabang Delhi make a remarkable comeback or will Pirates run away with it? Don't go anywhere, anything could happen here!
19'  Dabang Delhi KC 10-17 Patna Pirates

Dabang Delhi tackle Ayan in a do-or-die raid with a defense of 4 and enter the double digits in terms of points
18'  Dabang Delhi KC 9-17 Patna Pirates

Naveen first and then Ashu, the Patna defense is firing on all cylinders tonight!
Both the premium raiders for Delhi are on the bench and Patna are starting to run away with this
17'  Dabang Delhi KC 9-15 Patna Pirates

Devank gets tackled and this could be a big moment but no right in the next raid his partner in crime Ayan revives him with a quick running hand touch on the left cover
15'  Dabang Delhi KC 8-14 Patna Pirates

This time Patna Pirates get the all-out!
It was initiated by a touch point from Devank and then the lone man Ashu Malik tried to barge through a tough Patna defense but they did not let him budge, he could only pick up  a bonus and the gap between both the teams is 6 points now
13'  Dabang Delhi KC 6-10 Patna Pirates

A big lunge and then almost a slap like touch on Gaurav Chillar from Ayan and he reduces Delhi down to 2 men again!
11'  Dabang Delhi KC 6-9 Patna Pirates

Big moment from Delhi's substitute Mohit!
He was the only man remaining on court for them when Devank got Yogesh and Mohit went in to raid, got past the attempted ankle hold from the left corner and got a touch along the way too, plus a bonus earlier. Brings back Ashu Malik too, will this turn the fortunes for Dabang?
STRATEGIC BREAK 10'  Dabang Delhi KC 3-8 Patna Pirates

Patna Pirates have hit all the right notes so far!
Delhi got another blow when Ayan went in to raid and got past an attempted tackle from Rahul and returned to the mid line. Only 2 men left on court for Delhi and the threat of an all-out is looing large on them
9'  Dabang Delhi KC 3-7 Patna Pirates

A few empty raids before Vinay fell into the open arms of Ankit Jaglan in the left corner, Delhi down to 3 men
8'  Dabang Delhi KC 3-6 Patna Pirates

Naveen gets tackled by Ankit in the left corner and then Ayan followed it up with a running hand touch on the right in, Delhi reviewed it and lost their review for the half. Remember, each team has one successful review each per half in the playoffs
6'  Dabang Delhi KC 3-4 Patna Pirates

Delhi coming back in this! Rahul got the big fish in Devank with a clutch tackle in a do-or-die raid and then Naveen Kumar followed it up with a speedy touch point in a do-or0die raid himself
4' Dabang Delhi KC 1-4 Patna Pirates

Patna are running high at the start!
Another top class touch point from Devank to take out Delhi's best defender Yogesh with a running hand touch and then a big blow to the Dabang when Ashu was tackled by the chain of Shubham Shinde and Ayan in the right
2' Dabang Delhi KC 1-2 Patna Pirates

An empty raid for Ashu followed by a bonus from Devank which Ashu replicated, no tackle points yet as Delhi sub out Naveen Kumar for another left corner
1' Dabang Delhi KC 0-1 Patna Pirates

Devank starts off like only he can!
He starts off in the right side, travels to the left, comes back to the right and gets a beautiful reverse toe touch on the left corner
Toss: Ashu Malik wins the toss for Dabang Delhi KC and chooses court. It means that Patna Pirates will raid first
Here is a look at the all-important starting 7s for both the teams for tonight's contest:

Dabang Delhi KC: Gaurav Chillar, Ashish, Yogesh, Naveen Kumar, Ashish Malik, Sandeep, Ashu Malik (c)
Patna Pirates: Ankit (C), Devank, Ayan, Deepak, Navdeep, Gurdeep, Shubham Shinde

No changes for Dabang Delhi who have stuck to their stock standard lineup while Patna Pirates have gone back to Shubham Shinde in the right corner after giving Hamid a go in the eliminator
Want to know how things transpired when these two teams met earlier in the season? We've got you covered👇
Wondering about who to pick in your fantasy teams? Here's something from our end that might help you👇
Hello and good evening from Sourabh as I welcome you to Sportskeeda's continued live coverage of PKL 11. We have reached Semi Finals Day and it is time for the second semi final to be played between Dabang Delhi KC and Patna Pirates at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune.

Both these teams are filled with superstars, some new-born ones and others tried and tested. While a place in the final awaits either of the teams, it is going to be a test of temperament for both the units as much as it will be a test of skills. The pressure is going to be immense, the stakes are going to be high and the crowd is going to be loud as the players step on the mat in the penultimate match of season 11.

Dabang Delhi have had the luxury of some extra rest as they finished the league stage at the second position and secured a direct entry into the semifinals, while Patna Pirates were on the mat yesterday when they clinically got past U Mumba in their eliminator to set up a date with Dabang Delhi. While Dabang played their last match 6 days ago, Pirates will be stepping foot on the mat for the second consecutive day. It can work either way with Pirates having the momentum of a win just 24 hours ago but then Dabang Delhi have been unbeaten for the last 15 matches and if we talk about momentum they are certainly the team who have it with them.

There will be no shortage of top-class raiding as both the sides of the mat will see some of the season's best raiders. From the likes of the ever so consistent Ashu Malik and Naveen Kumar in Dabang Delhi to this year's best raiding duo in Devank Dalal and Ayan in the green of Pirates, raid points are going to be aplenty. With so much raiding talent on display, the defense which steps up will have the upper hand in the contest. Lots of onus will be on Yogesh who will be manning the right corner for Dabang as he has done throughout the season being their best defender and so to on Pirates' skipper Ankit who will be in the left corner controlling proceedings.

Which unit will hold their nerves and come out on top? Will Dabang Delhi secure their spot in the final of PKL 11 and have a shot at their second title or will Patna Pirates do the same and aim for a record fourth trophy? We are all set for a humdinger, let's get going with Sourabh from Team Sportskeeda
