FULL TIME! Haryana Steelers 39-23 Gujarat Giants 

Comfortable for the Steelers and they rise to the third position in the points table on the back of that win. They have completed the double over the Gujarat Giants this season and coach Manpreet Singh is pumped. They had a lead going into the second half, one which they kept increasing. The Giants had them reduced to few men but failed to inflict the all out. The Steelers switched gears in the last few minutes to inflict another all out on the Giants! A massive, massive win! 

40' SUPER TACKLE! An ankle hold by Jitender from the left corner and it is Vinay who is pinned down. 

Unbelievable! The Steelers do not allow Parteek to take even the baulk line. What follows is a terrific ankle hold by Shadloui which tackles him! 

Monu is also tackled as the covers pin him down. And on the other side, it is an ALL OUT! The lone defender gives a touch to Vinay and pushes him back! This is disastrous for the Giants

38' Do-or-die raid for the Steelers and Vinay strikes! Mohit with an attempted dash but Vinay uses the lobby to return. 

Himanshu runs straight into the double thigh hold of right cover Sanjay! 

Steelers 33-20 Giants 

36' Do-or-die raid for the Giants and Parteek Dahiya is tackled! SUPER TACKLE! A double thigh hold by Rahul Sethpal and Shadloui is around in a flash for assistance

An ankle hold from Rahul Sethpal on Rakesh and Shadloui was around within seconds to complete the tackle!

34' A solid ankle hold by Jitender Yadav and Naveen is tackled in a do-or-die raid! 

Steelers 28-20 Giants 

32' Ghanshyam Magar is tackled as the left corner puts in an ankle hold and the covers run around to complete the tackle. 

Do-or-die raid for the Giants and Parteek Dahiya is tackled! SUEPR TACKLE! Goes too deep in the left corner and Rahul Sethpal runs around with a chain to dash him out! 

Steelers 28-19 Giants 

Timeout! 

30' Rakesh runs straight into Rahul Sethpal's double thigh hold and is tackled! Do-or-die raid on the other side and Vinay is sent packing! He tries a kick on the left corner and the centre defender runs around and single-handedly dashes him out! 

Steelers 26-18 Giants 

28' Shivam Patare is tackled as Sombir puts in a back hold and the covers run around for assistance. 

SUPER TACKLE! Shadloui pounces on Parteek Dahiya and assistance from the other two defenders brings down the raider! 

Steelers 25-17 Giants 

26' Parteek Dahiya extends his hand and gets a touch on Jaideep in the right cover. Naveen snaps up a bonus point. 

Rakesh leaps over Naveen's attempted tackle and returns back to his half! 

Steelers 23-16 Giants 

24' Shivam Patare picks up a comfortable bonus point. Do-or-die raid for the Giants on the other side and Rakesh strikes! Goes deep and gets a touch on the right corner before using the lobby to return. 

Shivam Patare escapes from the right-in's ankle hold and returns, sending Rakesh back. Guman Singh runs straight into the right corner chain and is pinned down! 

Steelers 22-14 Giants 

22' Rakesh gets a running hand touch on Rahul Sethpal in the right corner. Shivam Patare snaps up a bonus point under the left corner.

Half time: Gujarat Giants 12-18 Haryana Steelers

An interesting half of the play is where the action is seen between the two sides. The Giants had a good start before the Steelers swooped in and took the lead by the first time out. While the Steelers had only a point excess to the Giants, they looked very comfortable and aimed at going hard.

Which they did. Steelers picked up points at a good raid and tried to make the most of their do-or-die raids. The action intensified in the dying moments of the first half where Shadloui picked up five points and steered the Steelers clear of the Giants.

20' SUPER RAID FOR SHADLOUI! Gets five points and sends the remaining three players off the mat as well, rendering the Gujarat Giants all out! Rakesh gets Shadloui out and gets one back for the Giants. That's all for the first half

18' DO OR DIE RAID FOR HARYANA STEELERS! Ghanshyam Magar takes on the responsibility and he gets a multipoint raid as Neeraj and Sombir fail to contain him and are sent off the mat. Three points and Magar gets a SUPER RAID! A review for Gujarat Giants, who claim only two points are lost but Haryana have their three points, with Jitender also making his way off the mat.

A successful raid for Guman Singh as he gets a point and helps Giants shorten the deficit

16' DO OR DIE RAID FOR THE STEELERS! Vinay goes for the raid and it is Vahid Rezaeimehr who holds him in the Giant's half and gets a point. Gujarat Giants has a DO OR DIE RAID and both - the raider and the defender- are out of bounds

14' DO OR DIE RAID FOR THE GIANTS! Rakesh takes the responsibilities but fails to get his raid right, being ankle held by Jaideep.

Gujarat Giants 8-9 Haryana Steelers

12' A fine dash from Rakesh as he sends Shivam Patare off the mat and levels the scores. DO OR DIE RAID FOR THE GIANTS and Guman Singh goes for the touch but is dashed out of bounds by Jaideep who pushes him out. Shadloui goes for his first raid of the game and it is Parteek Dahiya who gets a thigh hold and contains him

Gujarat Giants 8-8 Haryana Steelers

10' Successful raid for Vinay as he escapes the dash and he escapes Neeraj Kumar's dash. Parteek Dahiya is held in the Giants half but Shadloui has stepped out of bounds and is out.  SUPER TACKLE! Vinay goes in for another raid but Jitender Yadav holds him by his ankle and gets two points for his side.

8' DO OR DIE RAID FOR THE STEELERS! Vinay goes in for the raid and gets a toe touch off Vahid Rezaeimehr, sending him to the bench. Rakesh steps in for the DO OR DIE RAID FOR THE GIANTS and returns with a bonus point.

6' DO-OR-DIE RAID FOR THE GIANTS! Guman Singh goes for it but Rahul gets the ankle hold right and sends Guman off the mat. Empty raids to follow after that

Gujarat Giants 2-5 Haryana Steelers

4' First points for Haryana Steelers as Shivam Patare gets a bonus to open the Steeler's points tally. Another bonus to their name as they have Vinay who adds a second point to their total. Shivam Patare gets a multi point raid as he escapes Jitender's ankle hold and gets a touch off Sombir as well

2' Back hold from Sombir as he sends Ghanshyam Magar off the mat in what was the first raid of this contest. Guman Singh goes for the first raid for the Giants but comes back empty-handed. Rakesh gets a point, getting a toe touch

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League, 2024. Tonight's second fixture will witness the Gujarat Giants take on the Haryana Steelers at Noida.

The Gujarat Giants have had a very poor start to the season. They managed just a solitary win from their six matches, with the remaining resulting in losses. They will hope that they have better luck in the second venue of PKL as they look to get back on track. Seems to be a herculean task but if they can take it one match at a time, a comeback could be possible. They desperately need a win tonight. 

The Haryana Steelers, on the other hand, have a very different story to tell. They have four wins to their name from six matches and are placed seventh. They come into this match on the back of a win in the reverse-fixture between these two sides, with the Steelers having comfortably won the match 35-22. The Giants might be in for a similar fate tonight if they fail to turn it around.
