FULL-TIME! Gujarat Giants 29-42 Jaipur Pink Panthers

The Jaipur Pink Panthers roar back into playoff contention with a clinical 13-point victory, jumping to the sixth spot on the table. Once again, it was the Arjun Deshwal show as he delivered yet another Super 10 by being tackled just twice all night. 

This win wasn’t just about Arjun; Neeraj Narwal chipped in effectively with his raids, while Ankush was a rock in defense, bagging a High 5. The supporting cast of Ronak and Reza stepped up as well, making life miserable for the Gujarat raiders.

For the Giants, this defeat leaves their playoff chances hanging by a thread. They now face the near-impossible task of winning all their remaining games. Guman Singh and Rakesh tried their best, putting in decent performances, but the lack of support and a leaky defense, bar Rohit and Himanshu, undid their efforts.

Rakesh goes in deep at the left corner and gets a toe touch on Ankush at the left corner. Ankush is not happy with the decision but they don't have any reviews left.

DO OR DIE RAID FOR JAIPUR PINK PANTHERS! It's Neeraj Narwal once again and he is dashed out by Mohit from the left cover. However, the Panthers have reviewed it claiming three points, a super raid. However, the review is unsuccessful as Neeraj's hands didn't go past the midline. 

High 5 for Ankush Rathee! Guman Singh comes in running and tries to jump over Ankush once again but this time the defender got his grip on both ankles to pin the raider down. 

38' Gujarat Giants 27-40 Jaipur Pink Panthers

Ankush Rathee comes close to his High 5 as he gets a double ankle hold on Rohan Singh. It was Neeraj Narwal, though, who finished the tackle.

Arjun Deshwal adds another point to his tally with an escape from Rakesh's ankle hold at the right in. 

SUPER RAID! A high-flyng raid from Guman Singh here as he jumps over Ankush's block at the left corner before escaping support from Surjeet and Abhishek. Too late though for the Giants. 

And Ankush gets the revenge for his team with a running hand touch on Guman Singh. 

Silly from Reza here as he goes for an advance tackle but ends up giving an easy point to Rohan Singh.

DO OR DIE RAID FOR JAIPUR PINK PANTHERS! Neeraj Narwal tries for a running hand touch on the left corner but is dashed down by Himanshu from the right corner. However, the defenders also found himself off court in the process. The Giants have reviewed it though claiming just the raider is out. However, the review goes unsuccessful as Himanshu had no contact on the mat. One point each. 

SUPER 10 for Arjun Deshwal! He gets there easily with an escape from an advance ankle hold by Rohit at the left corner. 

Guman Singh pulls off a classical toe touch on Neeraj Narwal at the right in.

Finally a tackle point for Surjeet Singh tonight and you can see that on his face. A brilliant solo ankle hold from the veteran to take down a running Aadersh Singh.

DO OR DIE RAID FOR JAIPUR PINK PANTHERS! Neeraj Narwal takes his time and he accelerates and gets his favorite flying touch on Rohit at the left corner. 

What a strong show of tackle from the Panthers led by Reza at the left cover. An ankle hold of sheer class on Guman Singh well supported by the other defenders. 

Himanshu responds with an ankle hold of his own at the right corner. A solo tackle as K Dharanidharan was just pinned down. 

Another tackle point for the Panthers as Ronak Singh plucks Rakesh out of thin air with a back hold at the right corner.

A great display of skill from Guman Singh. Accelerates and gets a running hand touch on Surjeet Singh at the left in. 

26' Gujarat Giants 19-31 Jaipur Pink Panthers

K Dharanidharan is in for the Panthers now and he gets a bonus under the right corner before being tackled by Himanshu's ankle hold. 

What an impressive ankle hold from Ankush Rathee here at the left corner. Aadersh's eyes were on the other side and Ankush found the opportunity to pounce and didn't miss it. 

Arjun is tackled yet again. He is stuck at 9 raid points. A great ankle hold from Mohit from the left cover.

DO OR DIE RAID FOR JAIPUR PINK PANTHERS! He takes his time and tries for a bonus under the left corner. However, he is taken down for the first time tonight courtesy of an ankle hold by Rakesh at the left in. 

Rakesh now goes it for the raid and is immediately tackled by Ronak Singh's ankle hold. However, it was the support from Reza that made the tackle successful.

A slow start to the second half as both teams try to play on empty raids. 

Guman Singh goes in deep at the right corner and Reza comes in with a powerful dash from the left cover. Guman Singh had no answers to it. 

HALF-TIME! Gujarat Giants 16-27 Jaipur Pink Panthers

The Jaipur Pink Panthers have come out all guns blazing in this first half, putting the Giants under immense pressure in what is essentially a must-win game for Gujarat. Arjun Deshwal has been sensational so far, edging closer to yet another Super 10. What’s made the difference tonight is the support he’s received from Neeraj Narwal, who has kept the scoreboard ticking and allowed Jaipur to inflict not one but two all-outs on the Giants. The defense, too, has been sharp, pouncing on every opportunity to pin down Gujarat’s raiders.

For the Giants, it’s been a struggle. Rakesh has been the lone bright spot with seven points, while Guman Singh has managed four. But their defense, barring Rohit, has been porous, giving away far too many easy points.

The Giants will need to regroup quickly if they want to salvage this game. Can they stage a second-half comeback, or will the Panthers run away with a much-needed victory? Stay tuned for what promises to be an action-packed second half!

Guman continues to keep the scoreboard ticking with yet another stylish bonus under the right-corner defender. 

Two men now left for the Giants and Arjun Deshwal gets the big fish Guman Singh with a touch on his head at the left corner. 

Rohit postpones the all out for the Giants with a brilliant running kick on Ronak Singh at the right corner. 

Arjun Deshwal continues to put pressure as he gets another touch and this time on Rohit. The Giants are back again to just one man on the court. 

14' Gujarat Giants 10-21 Jaipur Pink Panthers

DO OR DIE FOR GUJARAT GIANTS NOW! Guman Singh is the man in. He goes in deep at the right corner which brings Reza for a dash. However, Guman was ready for it and finds his way back with ease. 

Arjun Deshwal responds with a quick running hand touch on Sombir at the right corner. 

Guman adds another point to his tally with a bonus under the man stationed at the right corner. 

Just three men left for the Giants on the court and Arjun gets one of them escaping an ankle hold from Himanshu Singh. 

12' Gujarat Giants 8-19 Jaipur Pink Panthers

DO OR DIE RAID FOR JAIPUR PINK PANTHERS! A multi-point raid yet again for Neeraj Narwal under pressure. He first escaped an ankle hold from Mohit and then a block from Neeraj Kumar at the right cover. 

10' Gujarat Giants 8-17 Jaipur Pink Panthers

A great ankle hold by Rohit here at the left corner. Neeraj Narwal got a bonus under him but Rohit immediately pounced to grab the raider's ankle. 

K Dharanidharan comes for his first raid tonight and he gets a perfect toe touch on Sombir at the right corner. 

Another ankle hold by Ankush and once again on Rakesh who was trying for a bonus under the left corner. 

8' Gujarat Giants 7-13 Jaipur Pink Panthers

ALL-OUT! Here comes the all-out, 10-second late but Jaipur would take it. Rohit was the last man standing in defense and he surrenders himself to Neeraj Narwal. 

All in for the Giants and Rakesh gets a quick bonus under the left corner. 

What a show of class from Arjun Deshwal here. A reverse toe-touch on Neeraj Kumar out of nowhere at the right cover region. 

That's silly from the experienced Surjeet Singh as he leaves the chain for an advance block but Rakesh was too close to the midline and escapes with ease. 

6' Gujarat Giants 5-10 Jaipur Pink Panthers

The Jaipur defense is not stopping now as Reza Mirbagheri spots Guman coming for a running hand touch and right in time gets an ankle hold from the left cover. 

Just two men left for the Giants on the court and Arjun escapes an ankle hold from Neeraj Kumar at the left corner. 

Last man Himanshu Singh is in for the Giants and he is given a bonus by the Panthers' defense. He goes in deep at the right corner but is dashed out by Reza from the left cover. Unfortunately, Reza also found himself of court and thus a bonus and a point for the Giants too.

Guman Singhs responds with his traditional running hand touch on Surjeet Singh athe right cover. 

Neeraj Narwal gets his first of the night with a flying touch on Rohit at the left cover. 

First tackle point of the night and it is Ankush who gets an ankle hold on Rakesh at the left corner. Surjeet came with timely support from the cover. Rakesh got a bonus though before getting tackles. A point each to both teams. 

A multi-point raid for Neeraj Narwal. Gets a running hand touch on Nabibakhsh and then escapes a dash from Mohit to get his hand past the midline right in time.

On the other hand, the Jaipur Pink Panthers are treading water in what’s been a disappointing season by their standards. Eight wins from 17 games sees them sitting in eighth, and they’re coming off a tough loss to the Patna Pirates, 38-28. Arjun Deshwal has been the heart and soul of their campaign, but over-reliance on him has been their undoing, as opposing teams have locked him down effectively. Neeraj Narwal has chipped in occasionally, but not with the consistency needed at this level. And the defense? Let’s just say it’s been a mixed bag.
