Big win for Haryana Steelers who get the revenge on Puneri Paltan! They win by 10 points and further strengthen their place at the top of the points table. They settle the scores with Paltan who gave them a 10-point loss in their first match of the season and here it is the Paltan who have lost by 10.

It was a brilliant performance from the Steelers who give Puneri nothing out of this contest. Super 10s for Shivam Patare (13 points) and Pankaj Mohite (11 points) but it was the defense of Puneri which let them down big time.

Even Akash Shinde got 6 points but there was simply nothing from their defense who looked hapless and leaked a lot of points. On the other hand, Steelers defense was working as a team. 2 points each for the covers Jaideep and Sanjay along with the right-corner Rahul Setpal and yet again Shadloui was the main man in defensewith 4 tackle points plus a raid point as well.

Haryana Steelers have a 8-point lead as we get to the half time break! Young Shivam Patare picked up an impressive raid point and has picked up 8 raid points in the first half itself. Puneri have their skipper who has picked up a bonus here and there along with a couple of touch points but they are struggling big time in defense.

It has been an electric 20-minutes of Kabaddi and the fact that there has been no do-or-die raids in the first half is proof of that. Puneri are looking down but they are not out yet, however the Steelers are in pole position with the way things have gone.

It has to be an incredible comeback from the Paltan in the second half against the top-ranked Steelers who are certainly playing like the best side in the league.

Puneri are looking really tentative on court, the defenders are going for half-hearted tackles and conceding soft points. The raiders are going nowhere and getting captured easily by the Steelers defense. Drama all-around and the umpires have had to change their decision! Nothing going right for the Paltan here, Pankaj Mohite was just fingertips away from getting over the mid-line when the combination of Shadloui and Rahul dragged him back in the right side of the court. The umpires ruled it in the favor of Paltan and sent both the defenders to the bench but then corrected their decision and they were called back and the Paltan skipper sent to the bench

Puneri Paltan are all out within the first 5 minutes! This is a storm that has struck the Paltan and they have been absolutely blown away. Shadloui went in to raid for the Steelers when it looked like he was super-tackled but it turned out that a defender has stepped out of bounds before a touch and to make matters worse for them, they reviewed it and lost the review too. Akash Shinde was the only man remaining and he picked up a bonus before getting gobbled up by a hungry Steelers defense

Hello and good evening from Sourabh as I welcome you to Sportskeeda's continued live coverage of PKL 11. It is time for Match 79 which will see the table-toppers Haryana Steelers go up against Puneri Paltan at the Noida Indoor Stadium.

Haryana Steelers have been a cut above every other team in the league and are comfortably sitting at the top of the points table having won 10 out of the 13 games played. On the other hand, Puneri Paltan have also played 13 games and they are on the fifth spot in the table having gone through a slump post losing their skipper Aslam Inamdar for the season. Both these teams faced the Jaipur Pink Panthers in their last encounters and while Steelers got a big win Paltan suffered a heavy defeat against the team from the pink city.

The form coming into this match for both the teams is pretty contrasting too. While Steelers have just 1 loss in their last 8 games having won the rest 7, Paltan have only managed to win 1 out of their last 6 games. However, the last time these two teams met was in the first match of the season for both these teams and Paltan got the better of the Steelers by a healthy margin of 10 points.
