FULL-TIME! Haryana Steelers 24-31 UP Yoddhas

Two defeats in a row for Haryana Steelers - first time this has happened in PKL season 11. Not what they would have liked towards the business end just before the playoffs. Meanwhile, UP Yoddhas extend their unbeaten run to seven games courtesy of a single-handed effort in raiding from Bhavani Rajput to get a Super 10. 

He did the bulk of the raiding for the Yoddhas as he attempted a total of 25 raids to get 11 raid points. For Haryana, Shadloui got four tackle points, but it was not enough, as Vinay and Patare couldn't deliver on the raiding front. 

UP Yoddhas move to the third spot with this win, an inch closer to the playoffs. They have certainly made it in - just the official 'Q' is yet to come next to their name. Manpreet Singh wouldn't be happy with the performance of his team and Haryana will go back to the drawing board and rectify their errors before the playoffs begin.

DO OR DIE RAID FOR UP YODDHAS! Bhavani takes his time and then goes for a bonus under left in. However, Shadloui comes with an ankle hold rightly supported by Manikandan. 

39' Haryana Steelers 23-31 UP Yoddhas

A quick raid here from Vinay who escapes an ankle hold from Bharat the left in. 

Vinay follows it up with yet another successful raid as he manages to find a way back from the double ankle hold on Sahul Kumar at the right in. 

38' Haryana Steelers 21-31 UP Yoddhas

Shivam Patare is taken down too. Just when we thought Harayan are back in the game, UP Yoddhas charge back. Mahender Singh blocks down Shivam Patare from the right cover.

DO OR DIE RAID FOR UP YODDHAS! Bhavani Rajput adds another point to his tally with a running hand touch on Rahul at the right corner. 

36' Haryana Steelers 21-29 UP Yoddhas

Is it another multi-point raid for Bhavani Rajput? He goes in deep at the left corner but is dashed down by Rahul Sethpal and Shivam Patare. UP Yoddhas have reviewed it, though! A close call that could go in any direction. The original decision stays and Bhavani is out. 

A quick running back kick now from Vishal Tate on Sahul Kumar at the right corner. Haryana are now making a comeback here at the Balewadi Stadium. 

A pursuit from Vishal Tate now but no success this time around. Hitesh takes him down with an attempt of double ankle hold. Vishal jumps over but is trapped under the other supporting defenders. 

34' Haryana Steelers 19-28 UP Yoddhas

An easy point for the Yoddhas as N Manikandan slips out of bounds. Not something Haryana needed at this stage.

DO OR DIE RAID FOR HARYANA STEELERS! An error here from Sumit who goes for an advance ankle hold to give an easy escape for Vishal Tate. 

Shadloui responds by taking down the tall Bharat Hooda with a perfect block from the left corner. 

This time it's Mahender Singh who does the same on Shadloui. Blocks the raider down with sheer strength from the left corner. Haryana in trouble. 

32' Haryana Steelers 17-26 UP Yoddhas

An advance double ankle hold attempt from Ashu Singh, he jumps over with ease to get the point.

DO OR DIE RAID FOR UP YODDHAS! Another multi-point raid from the tall Bhavani Rajput, who completes his Super 10 in style to send back both the corners Shadloui and Rahul. A brilliant escape here from Bhavani. 

30' Haryana Steelers 16-24 UP Yoddhas

DO OR DIE RAID FOR HARYANA STEELERS! Shivam Patare runs towards Mahender Singh at the left cover and gets a fine touch on his thighs. 

Now it's Shadloui who gets a textbook ankle hold on Gagan Gowda. The raider got a bonus, though, before being taken down. 

28' Haryana Steelers 14-23 UP Yoddhas

DO OR DIE RAID FOR UP YODDHAS! A two men defense for Haryana. It's Bhavani who's in. Goes in deep at the left corner and tries for a back kick. N Manikandan goes for the ankle hold whereas Rahul comes with a dash. Referees have award an ALL OUT though deeming Bhavani as safe. Haryana Steelers have reviewed the decision though! A tough decision here for the TV umpire but the decision stays and it is an ALL OUT! 

26' Haryana Steelers 14-19 UP Yoddhas

DO OR DIE RAID FOR HARYANA STEELERS! Onus on Vishal Tate now. Tries for a bonus at the centre but Gagan Gowda was ready and gets an ankle hold. 

24' Haryana Steelers 14-18 UP Yoddhas

DO OR DIE RAID FOR HARYANA STEELERS! A freebie here for Vishal Tate given by Hitesh from the right corner. An unnecessary tackle here from Hitesh. 

Bharat Hooda runs down deep towards the right corner and gets a running toe touch on Vinay at the left in. 

Bhavani Rajput now follows him with a perfect kick on Shivam Patare at the left in. Both Haryana raiders back in the hut. 

22' Haryana Steelers 13-16 UP Yoddhas

Empty raids from both sides to kick off the second half. 

DO OR DIE RAID FOR UP YODDHAS! Bhavani Rajput strikes again as he hunts down Shadloui at the left corner with a kick on the chest of the Iranian. 

HALF-TIME! Haryana Steelers 13-15 UP Yoddhas

UP Yoddhas take a lead right at the brink of the first half courtesy of a game-changing Super raid from Bhavani Rajput that later led to an all-out. Not much to separate between both sides though as Haryana too had their moments in the game to delay the all-out and keep the deficit under control. 

It is turning out to be a thrilling Northern Derby just as Manpreet Singh said before the encounter. It could be anyone's game. Stay tuned as we will be back shortly for the final 20 minutes! 

20' Haryana Steelers 13-15 UP Yoddhas

Wow! Some serious heat on display. What a tackle that was from Ashu Singh who blocks Shivam Patare down. Ohh No! Even Ashu steps out of bounds and Haryana get a bonus and a point whereas Yoddhas get just one. 

A skillful running hand touch here from Bharat on Jaideep to end the first half on a positive note. 

18' Haryana Steelers 11-13 UP Yoddhas

DO OR DIE RAID FOR UP YODDHAS! Bhavani Rajput pulls off one of the best raids of the season. A Super Raid of the highest authority. First he escapes an ankle hold from Rahul and then supports from Shadloyu and Shivam. UP have leveled the scores now. 

ALL OUT! And all of a sudden UP Yoddhas have turned things around. Vishal Tate gets a bonus under the right corner but is then taken down with a block from Sumit. 

16' Haryana Steelers 10-7 UP Yoddhas

DO OR DIE RAID FOR UP YODDHAS! Shadloui gets on the scoreboard with an advance ankle hold on Bharat who tries for a running hand touch. Timely support from Rahul Sethpal to finish the tackle. 

DO OR DIE RAID FOR HARYANA STEELERS NOW! Young Sahil has made his way in. Tries to jump over Sumit's block but falls down on the mat to get trapped under the Yoddhas' defense. 

14' Haryana Steelers 9-6 UP Yoddhas

Error here from substitute Sahul Kumar who gives a freebie to Shivam Patare with a half-hearted advance block from the right corner. 

12' Haryana Steelers 8-6 UP Yoddhas

DO OR DIE RAID FOR HARYANA STEELERS! Vishal Tate has come in off the bench and he impresses with a multi-point raid. Gets a bonus first in the centre and then gets a ninja style toe touch on Hitesh at the right corner. 

Bharat Hooda gets his first raid point courtesy of an advance ankle hold from Jaideep Dahiya at the left corner. It wasn't necessary from Jaideep at this stage. 

10' Haryana Steelers 6-5 UP Yoddhas

DO OR DIE RAID FOR UP YODDHAS! What a SUPER TACKLE here from skipper Jaideep Dahiya. Bhavani pushes both Jaideep and Rahul to one side at the right corner and Jaideep had no other option then to go for the tackle. Grabs both ankles of Bhavani and gets timely support from Rahul to pull off a tackle for the ages and postpone the all-out as well. 

8' Haryana Steelers 4-5 UP Yoddhas

What a raid here from Bhavani Rajput. He tries a kick on Shadloui, who falls out of bounds. Sanjay then comes for a dash but Bhavani escapes with ease.

DO OR DIE RAID FOR HARYANA STEELERS! Once again it's Vinay who takes charge. No prizes this time for him as he is taken down with an ankle hold from Bharat at the left-in. 

6' Haryana Steelers 4-2 UP Yoddhas

Shivam Patare goes in deep the right corner. He tries a few kicks, too, and then runs down towards the left corner, where Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi, coming off the bench, grabs the raider with an ankle hold. 

4' Haryana Steelers 4-1 UP Yoddhas

DO OR DIE RAID FOR HARYANA STEELERS! Vinay takes up the responsibility here and comes back with a multi-point raid. Escapes an ankle hold first from Sumit at the left corner and then a dash from Mahender Singh from the other side. 

DO OR DIE RAID FOR UP YODDHAS! It's Bhavani Rajput who's in for them and he survives. A jersey pull from Sahil and thus Bhavani is deemed safe. Fortunate here for the Yoddhas to get away with a point here/ 

2' Haryana Steelers 2-0 UP Yoddhas

Vinay starts off things from the right side for Haryana. A running hand touch attempt and Hitesh loses his balance at the right corner and steps out of bounds.

Gagan Gowda begins for the Yoddhas. Tries for a kick on Shadloui at the left corner but is taken down from a block. However, he had already stepped out of bounds and thus would be deemed self-out.

A Northern Derby is around us between Haryana Steelers and UP Yoddhas to kick off the night at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune. I, Meeth Agrawal, will be taking you through all the thrills and chills of this Battle of the North. 

The Steelers, as dominant as any team could be in PKL 11 were the first team to qualify for the playoffs. They are well ahead of all others but were left stunned in another Northern Derby in their previous fixture against Dabang Delhi KC. The Steelers couldn't hold their early lead as Delhi made a comeback to seal a 44-37 win. Shadlou did all he could to ensure his side got another victory, but Ashu Malik and Naveen Express were just unstoppable. Actually, it was Haryana's raiding duo of Vinay and Shivam who had an off-day but I am pretty sure Manpreet Singh would have motivated his side to pull off a big win tonight against the Yoddhas.

Talking about the UP Yoddhas, they are well placed in the race for the playoffs. Currently at the fourth spot with 64 points, a win here would most probably confirm their qualification. Unbeaten from last six games, they are looking stronger than ever but the task tonight will be as tough as it can get against the Steelers. Gagan Gowda has suddenly burst onto the scene for them from being just a supporting raider to now scoring Super 10s for fun.
