The match oscillated like a pendulum and it was a see-saw match but in the end, it is the Patna Pirates who emerge victorious! The last few moments turned the game in the favour of the Pirates and the Pink Panthers perhaps miscalculated it! A young Pirates brigade has overcome the Pink Panthers! The Pink Panthers inflicted the all-out early into the second half courtesy of a five-point raid by Arjun. But the Pirates played catch-up pretty quickly as they brought down the deficit to one point by the 30-minute mark. A few points for the Pink Panthers but two crucial Super Tackles by the Pirates and a tackle on Arjun put them in command. It was just a solitary point lead but with Arjun on the bench, the Pink Panthers seemed pretty lifeless. Their substitute raider failed to pull matters back and the Pirates claimed victory in the end! Another close game that goes against the Pink Panthers! 

40' Pink Panthers 41-43 Pirates

Devank snaps up a bonus point. And both sides are putting in empty raids! Arjun continues to be on the bench! 

Sombir Mehra, the substitute raider, tries a leap over the right corner but Shubham Shinde brings him down with a double thigh hold! That should be it for the Pirates! 

Devank runs down the clock, crosses the baulk line and returns to finish! 

38' Pink Panthers 41-41 Pirates 

SUPER TACKLE! Neeraj Narwal leaps over the centre defender's attempted double thigh hold but his direction is wrong. Ankit Jaglan and Shubham Shinde together ensure that he is pinned down! 

Arjun Deshwal is tackled! As soon as he tries a touch on the left-in, Shubham Shinde runs around and tackles him with a solid block. One point given to each side as the left-in had stepped past the end-line. Patna Pirates review! His foot was on the line but not beyond it. His foot went past after the touch. Review unsuccessful, one point each! The reason being that there was one moment where his foot was outside the end line and his other foot was also in the air. 

36' Pink Panthers 40-38 Pirates

A dubki tried by Ayan but the Pink Panthers' covers combine to pin him down.

Do-or-die raid for Arjun on the other side and he is tackled! SUPER TACKLE! Ankit Jaglan with an ankle hold and the other two defenders are around in a flash to bring him down! 

Surjeet with a powerful block and he tackles substitute raider Sandeep Kumar. 

32' Pink Panthers 38-35 Pirates 

Do-or-die raid for the Pink Panthers and Abhijeet Malik strikes! Gets a touch on the left-in following which Arkam runs around for a dash from which he escapes and returns. 

Do-or-die raid for the Pirates and Devank perishes! Picks up a bonus but an ankle hold from left corner along with a solid dash from Reza and Surjeet dash him out.

30' Pink Panthers 35-34 Pirates

Ayan goes deep and gets a touch on Ronak in the right corner. 

The left corner and left-in with an ankle hold and the covers run around too. Just inches within the mid-line he has been pulled back. 

Ayan goes deep and gets a touch on Neeraj Narwal from the left-in. 

28' Pink Panthers 35-31 Pirates

Devank picks up a bonus point in front of the covers. Arjun gets a kick on Ankit and returns with a point. Devank is tackled now as the defense surrounds him and pins him down. 

Ayan entices Reza into going into the dash and he uses the lobby to return. Arjun gets a touch on the right cover and returns. 

24' Pink Panthers 32-29 Pirates 

Deepak is allowed a bonus point. Neeraj Narwal tries a surprise double thigh hold Deepak comfortably escapes. 

Arjun with a kick on the left corner and once again reduces the Pirates down to one man. 

Deepak is allowed the bonus point. However, this time, he is dashed out. But hold on, Neeraj Narwal has gone off the court completely! Bonus plus point to Pirates, one point to Jaipur!

22' Pink Panthers 27-25 Pirates

The Pirates raider ends up stepping into the lobby without a touch and is self out.

SUPER RAID! Arjun Deshwal gets the Pink Panthers back in the lead! FOUR POINTS! A touch on the left cover and turns and changes momentum to get back to the mid-line. The right and left side of the defense come around in chains to stop him. However, he bursts through and crosses the mid-line! Four points have been granted but he is asking for five. The initial touch has not been awarded. Pink Panthers review! A touch on the left cover definitely, and both the right corner and right in along with the left corner and left in! Review successful! FIVE POINT RAID! Pirates down to one man! 

HALF TIME! Patna Pirates 25-21 Jaipur Pink Panthers 

A complete momentum shift after the 12-minute mark and the Pirates take the lead going into the second half. A young and energetic side that has not backed down when the odds were against them. It was quite an even contest until the Pink Panthers inflicted the first all-out. However, after that, the Pirates changed gears, not allowing the Jaipur raiders to score and Ayan, in particular, running riot through their defense. A four-point lead isn't a big one though. Can they increase it or will the Pink Panthers make a comeback? Stick around to find out! 

20' Pirates 25-21 Pink Panthers

Ayan pushes aside the left corner's attempt and returns in a flash, reducing the Pink Panthers down to one man. 

ALL OUT! Abhijeet Malik is allowed the bonus point. He tries a jump over the right corner chain but a double thigh hold clips his wings! The Pirates are in the lead! 

Ayan picks up a bonus point and as soon as he does that, Reza runs around and dashes him out. Arjun Deshwal is pinned down once again! An ankle hold as soon as he tries a toe-touch on the covers and the rest of the defense pounces on him. 

Reza with a dash but Devank turns and goes around him to return with a point. 

16' Pirates 18-19 Pink Panthers 

Devank with a point as Reza goes for an advance dash from which he backtracks and returns in a flash! On the other side, Arjun Deshwal is tackled as an ankle hold from Ankit Jaglan brings him down. 

Ayan goes deep and gets a touch on the right corner Arpit Sarah. On the other side, Neeraj Narwal is tackled! As soon as he tries a bonus, the corners and covers combine to pin him down. 

14' Pirates 14-19 Pink Panthers 

Ayan returns with a point. Arpit tries a back-hold but it is too advance and Ayan is back in a flash. 

SUPER RAID! Arjun Deshwal has completed his Super 10 too! Gets a kick on the left corner, pushes aside the incoming dash from the right cover and the other cover cannot pull him back too as he tumbles and crosses the mid-line! 

Devank dives through the air and gets a hand touch on Ankush. 

12' Pirates 12-16 Pink Panthers

ALL OUT! Ayan is granted the bonus point following which he runs straight into the double thigh hold of Reza Mirbagheri! Jaipur breaking away now! 

A toe-touch by Arjun Deshwal sends back Ankit Jaglan. Devank is tackled once again by Ankush with a powerful ankle hold, but not before he picked up the bonus point. 

The left corner stands tall and blocks Neeraj Narwal to stop him from returning back.

10' Pirates 9-11 Pink Panthers 

Arjun Deshwal gets a toe-touch on the right corner, all while strutting through from left to right. A comfortable point and the Pirates are down to three men. 

Ayan snaps up a bonus point in front of the right corner. Arjun Deshwal gets a kick on the left corner and returns in a flash. 

Ayan is allowed the bonus point as the team hangs back. Arjun gets a touch on the right corner and returns, reducing the Pirates down to one man. 

8' Pirates 7-8 Pink Panthers

Neeraj Narwal picks up pace and gets a running hand touch on Shubham Shinde in the right corner. Ayan returns with a bonus in front of the right corner. 

6' Pirates 6-7 Pink Panthers 

Arjun Deshwal has gone out of bounds! Tries a kick but does not connect. The cover and corner run around for a dash but Arjun has stepped into the lobby before the touch happens. 

Devank picks up a bonus and as soon as he does that, an ankle hold from Ankush and powerful dash by Surjeet send him back to the bench for the first time tonight!

4' Pirates 4-6 Pink Panthers

Neeraj narwal with a terrific raid! Dives through the air and gets the left cover. And while he continues his dive, he also gets a touch on Ankit in the left corner! Whew! 

Devank with another touch on Surjeet to send him back. Arjun Deshwal picks up another bonus point. Devank is allowed a bonus as the defense hangs back. 

Arjun Deshwal tries a bonus and Deepak goes for a dash immediately. Arjun quickly returns to the mid-line.

Arjun Deshwal kicks off proceedings with a bonus point! Devank responds with a bonus point of his won, a running one in front of the right cover.

Their losses have been pretty narrow but there is a certain over-reliance on Arjun Deshwal which is hurting their cause. Their defense is pretty solid, with Reza, Ankush, Surjeet and Lucky being more than decent in their positions. If they can find ways to revive Arjun quickly, they will most likely be rising in the points table tonight. 

The Patna Pirates find themselves with three wins and three losses from six games. They come into this contest on the back of a narrow loss to U Mumba. Devank will have a bone to pick against his former team while Ayan will be his deputy in the raiding department. Their defense needs to work together like a unit. If they can keep Arjun Deshwal quiet, their raiders could do the job for them as they look to get their campaign back on track.
