We have an edge of the seat thriller here and the Patna Pirates have been humbled by the UP Yoddhas by just two points here. At the halfway stage of the game, the Yoddhas were four points behind but they came back remarkably in the second half. Gagan Gowda led the charge as he was on a rampage. He managed to get 11 points including one tackle point. 

Devank Dalal was easily the best raider in the contest as he was unstoppable for the greater part of the match getting a whopping 18 points. Ayan also completed a super 10 in the second half but the defense wasn't able to deliver under pressure. Ayan being tackled on a DO-or-DIE raid meant that the Pirates fell under immense pressure in the final minute of the game. 

For the UP Yoddhas it was Bhavani Rajput who did the bulk of the heavy lifting in the first half till Gagan Gowda came along. He finished off with 10 points to his name. But the game changer was Hitesh who picked up 8 tackle points. In a game where the raiders had a field day, a defender of Hitesh's caliber made the difference on the mat. Sumit and Ashu Singh also picked up three points each. 

Overall, it was an incredible game of Kabaddi which went into the final seconds and it was the UP Yoddhas who held their nerve to clinch the game. Spare of thought for the Patna Pirates who led for the greater part of the game but led the initiative slip as Deepak and Ankit struggled in the defense. The UP Yoddhas will be able to move up in the points table with this win and it will give them a lot of confidence for the coming games. 

'40 Second Half

Patna Pirates 42- 44 UP Yoddhas

With a couple of minutes remaining on the clock it was Devank Dalal from the Patna Pirates who went in for the raid but it was an empty one. Mahender Singh had an empty raid for the UP Yoddhas

Ayan too had an empty raid and Mahender followed suit. We had two DO-or-DIE raids on either side. Ayan was super tackled on a do-or-die raid and the Yoddhas just went into the raid. The Yoddhas took the time-out to slow the game down with just one minute remaining on the clock. The Pirates had missed a golden chance to inflict the all-out. 

Gagan Gowda went in for the do-or-die raid and he managed to pick up the point as Deepak couldn't grasp him from behind. Sumit gave away the point as Devank Dalal returned with the raid. With the final seconds on the clock Gagan Gowda returned empty handed for the Yoddhas. Devank Dalal had been tackled by the UP Yoddhas and it was an incredible chain tackle led by Hitesh. 

Gagan Gowda went in for the raid next and he just killed the time to ensure that the Yoddhas held on to the lead by the end of the game. It was an incredible effort from the home team towards the end and they clinched the game by two points. 

37 Second Half

Patna Pirates 38-37 UP Yoddhas

Devank Dalal took out Ashu Singh and it was followed by an empty raid from Akshay Suryawanshi for the UP Yoddhas as the pressure mounted on them. 

Devank had an empty raid again but Akshay Suryawanshi was tackled by Ankit Jaglan. Suryawanshi tried to leap over but couldn't succeed. 

Ayan was in next and there was a chance for a SUPER TACKLE for the UP Yoddhas. Ayan managed to get a touch on Sumit and avoided the dash on Mahender. The replays showed that the raider had slipped into the Lobby and it was given as a super tackle for the UP side. 

'34 Second Half

Patna Pirates 38- 37 UP Yoddhas

Ayan was in as the first raider post the time-out and he was tackled by Sumit. Gagan Gowda went in next and he got a touch on Ankit to complete the SUPER 10 in just 9 minutes. 

Devank Dalal was up next as he looked to further the prospects of his side but he had an empty raid. Bhavani Rajput was the next raider and he went into the lobby area and had to head into the dug out. 

Devank has a successful raid as he got a touch on Gagan Gowda. Sahul Kumar had an empty raid and Ayan too returned without any points for the Pirates. 

'31 Second Half

Patna Pirates 35- 35 UP Yoddhas

Devank did have a successful raid on Hitesh but Bhavani was up next. He headed into the lobby by mistake as he lost balance and he had to head out to the bench. 

Heading into the Time-Out, both the teams were tied on 35 points each and there was very little to separate the two sides. It meant that the game would go down to the wire and whoever broke first under pressure would have to eat the humble pie. 

'29 Second Half

Patna Pirates 33-35 UP Yoddhas

Ayan once again took out Mahender Singh with a running hand touch. However Gagan Gowda got the Yoddhas back in the reckoning with a SUPER RAID as he managed to dodge three defenders in what was a sloppy attempt on him. 

Devank Dalal swarmed around the court and he managed to get a touch through a dive on Sumit in the left corner. Bhavani Rajput was up next and he managed to get a touch on Navdeep to complete a SUPER 10. 

'26 Second Half

Patna Pirates 30-30 Patna Pirates

Bhavani Rajput had an empty raid as did Ayan. Gagan Gowda also had an empty raid. Bhavani Rajput was tackled but there was some confusion regarding the dash. The replays confirmed that it would be one point each for both the sides. 

Ayan was in next for the raid and it was a do-or-die raid. Hitesh came in from the right corner and tackled Ayan but the replays showed that he had gone into the lobby area meaning that it was a point for the Pirates. 

Gagan Gowda had a successful raid next to equalize the scores yet again. 

'23 Second Half

Patna Pirates 28-28 UP Yoddhas

Bhavani Rajput managed to get a touch on Gurdeep and it got the Yoddhas one step closer to the all-out. Ayan went in next for the raid for the Patna Pirates but he lost his balance and stepped into the lobby area. He did pick up a point before that though. 

Devank Dalal went in for the raid next and he got a running touch on Ashu Singh. Gagan Gowda picked up a point as he got a touch on Ankit. Devank Dalal was finally chain tackled by the UP Yoddhas as Ashu led the charge. 

Half Time- Patna Pirates 25-21 UP Yoddhas 

It has been an enthralling first half of the contest here and Patna Pirates have managed to take a four point lead. UP Yoddhas were neck and neck with the Pirates at one stage but it was a couple of superb back to back raids which inflicted the all-out on them and the game seemed to be slipping away from them as the Pirates maintained a healthy six to seven point lead at that stage. 

Bhavani Rajput put in a real shift though and he ensured that the lead was cut down to four points only for the UP Yoddhas. Heading into the second half, it will be game on but the Pirates will have the thinnest of advantages with the lead. Devank Dalal has already completed a super 10 in the first half and the Yoddhas will need to find a way to stop him in the second half. 

20' First Half

Patna Pirates 25-21 UP Yoddhas

Bhavani Rajput was successful for the next raid attempt and this time he took out Deepak. Ayan picked up a bonus point for the Patna Pirates as the game headed into the final minute of the first half. 

Bhavani Rajput put in an acrobatic raid and he took out Ankit. Ayan went in next for the raid and Mahender Singh was the player out. Bhavani Rajput went in for the raid and he pulled off a stunning raid. He took out Navdeep and Sandeep. 

17' First Half

Patna Pirates 23-17 UP Yoddhas

Devank Dalal continued to impress as he completed his SUPER 10. He took out Ashu Singh and Mahender Singh with a touch. Bhavani Rajput had an empty raid up next. 

The Yoddhas fought back as they managed to tackle Sandeep. Gagan Gowda was up next and he got a bonus point for the Yoddhas. Ayan went in next for the Patna Pirates and Hitesh tried to tackle him from the back which wasn't successful. 

Gagan Gowda managed to get a touch on Sandeep next as the Yoddhas tried to bounce back and close in the gap. 

14' First Half

Patna Pirates 18 - 13 UP Yoddhas

Keshav Kumar began proceedings after the time-out for the UP Yoddhas but he returned with an empty raid. Deepak too had an empty raid for the Patna Pirates. It forced the do-or-die raid for the Yoddhas. Kumar fell for the trap as he was tackled by Navdeep. 

Devank Dalal had an empty raid next where he struggled. Ashu Singh too couldn't pick up a point for the Yoddhas. Devank went in for the do-or-die raid and he responded in grand fashion. He took out Sumit and Ashu Singh as they attempted to block him. 

Gagan Gowda came in for the UP Yoddhas as a substitute but he began with an empty raid. Ayan picked up a point for the Patna Pirates as he got the touch on Hitesh. Mohammadreza was the next raider for the UP Yoddhas and he was tackled by Navdeep. It inflicted  the all out on the Yoddhas.

11' First Half

Patna Pirates 11-11 UP Yoddhas

Keshav Kumar had an empty raid for the Yoddhas but the Yoddhas defense was on point as they managed to take out Sandeep. Hitesh was the player who tackled him out. 

Heading into the time-out there was nothing to separate between the two sides as they were both going strength to strength. 

10' First Half

Patna Pirates 11-10 UP Yoddhas

Bhavani Rajput continued to impress as he got rid of Navdeep. Devank got the Pirates back in the lead as he got a touch on Hitesh. Bhavani went in again and this time he managed to get the bonus point. 

Devank showed his class yet again as this time he took out two top UP Yoddhas players. Bharat Hooda and Sumit Sangwan went after him but couldn't hold on to his thighs. 

The pressure increased on Bhavani Rajput and he succumbed to it. The left corner Ankit executed a back hold on him. Ayan was in next for the Pirates and the super tackle opportunity was on. Ashu Singh dashed him out.  It was more of a wrestling move. 

6' First Half

Patna Pirates 7-6 UP Yoddhas

Keshav Kumar had a successful raid for the UP Yoddhas as he got a touch on Deepak. Devank Dalal continued his superb run as he managed to eke out a bonus point. 

Bhavani Rajput was up next and he managed to get a touch on Deepak to take him out. Devank Dalal continued to impress as he got a hand touch on Ashu Singh. 

Bharat Hooda was up next and he was tackled by Gurdeep who went in for a thigh hold. The UP Yoddhas responded in style as they chain tackled Sandeep. 

3' First Half

Patna Pirates 2- 3 UP Yoddhas

Devank Dalal got the first raid of the game on point as he took out Bhavani Rajput with a touch. Bharat Hooda went in for the UP Yoddhas and he drew a blank. However the replays should that he had got a touch on Navdeep. 

Devank went back for the Pirates and took out Bharat Hooda this time to put the Yoddhas under immense pressure. Bhavani Rajput however go the back kick on point and took a point. 

Ayan was the next raider for the Patna Pirates and he became the first raider to be tackled.

It's time for the second match of the day and it will be the teams from two neighbouring North Indian states that will be facing off against each other. It will be the Patna Pirates taking on the home team UP Yoddhas. 

The Patna Pirates are heading into this contest on the back of a massive win against the Bengaluru Bulls whom they trounced convincingly in their previous game. Devank has been the best raider for them this season and he has amassed 131 raid points in just 11 games. All -rounder Ankit Jaglan has also been a vital cog in the wheel in this lineup while the duties in the defense have been shouldered by Deepak Singh who has scored 27 tackle points so far in the tournament. 

The UP Yoddhas had a contrasting fortune on the other hand as they lost their last game by a big margin against the Tamil Thalaivas. They're placed towards the bottom of the pile in the points table at number 8. Bhavani Rajput and has been their star raider while Sumit Sangwan has been the best defender so far. Bharat Hooda too will be a key cog in the wheel as he has 89 points to his name with his all-round skills. 

Overall, the Patna Pirates do hold the edge over the UP Yoddhas in the head-to-head record. They've won 10 out of the 16 times this two teams have faced off.
