The cover defenders, Sanket and Abinesh, provided vital assists that kept the Steelers at bay.

What a piece of defense on display tonight by Pune. This time, it's Aman who goes from behind to get a solo backhold on Vinay.

Sanskar replies with a back kick on Aman at the left corner.

Akash Shinde continues to get the better of Shadlou. Attempts a toe touch at the right corner before Shadlou comes in with a dash. However, Akash was quick enough to get his hands past the midline. Shadlou saw the positive side of it as he hugs his former teammate before going out.

SUPER RAID!! Too late for Haryana though. Sanskar gets a bonus under right corner and escapes the tackle from Gaurav, Sanket and Pankaj. 

A technical point for Pune to end tonight's proceedings. A convincing win for the defending champions.

An all-round effort from the Pune defense. As soon as Sanskar Mishra attempts a bonus under Aman, the defense led by Abinesh troops is to dash the raider out.

A series of empty raids followed by a quick pursuit from Aslam. The defense was not prepared as Rahul goes out of bounds to leave Sahil alone on the mat. It was then a cakewalk for Aslam as he escapes Sahil's ankle hold to inflict another ALL-OUT!! Haryana have reviewed it though claiming Rahul wasn't out of bounds. However, the decision goes in favor of Pune and Haryana are almost out of the game. 

36' Puneri Paltan 27-19 Haryana Steelers

The Hyderabad crowd goes wild as Shadlou comes in for raid but goes empty handed. 

And soon the crowd goes silent as Akash Shinde escapes from an advance ankle hold by Shadlou. 

Sanket Sawant gets his first point of the day with an ankle hold on Jaya Soorya at the right cover.

Do or die specialist Pankaj is in once again but Haryana defenders come out on top this time. The clock goes ticking till the final three seconds and Pankaj is tackled by Rahul Sethpal with a thigh hold. 

Similar result on the other side of the mat as Shivam Patare gets trapped by Gaurav with a thigh hold.

Akash Shinde is in as a sub for Pune and he begins with an empty raid followed by a do or die raid. Goes deep at the right corner giving Shadlou an opportunity for a block who makes no mistake to take down the raider. 

Do or die for Haryana as well and Soorya is caught up by a double thigh hold from Aman at the left corner.

Do or die for Pankaj yet again and he is trying to attack Shadlou. The time goes running and he gets caught by Shivam Patare while attempting a running hand touch. 

Aslam now contributes in defense as he gets an ankle hold on Shivam at the right in.

Do or die raid for Haryana. Vinay goes in too deep at the left corner and Aman makes no mistake to get an easy ankle hold. 

What a brilliant display of skill from Pankaj. Comes is for a do or die raid and get a running kick on Sanjay at the covers. 

Sub Jaya Soorya gets an easy touch on Gaurav at the right corner. This is the first time today that Gaurav has been sent back. He follows it up with yet another point through a running hand touch on Sanket Sawant at the left cover.

We are back for the second half and it has been a cautious start from both teams taking it to the third raid. 

HALF-TIME - Puneri Paltan 19-13 Haryana Steelers

What a first half we’ve witnessed! The defending champions, Puneri Paltan, have taken a commanding lead, stretching ahead by six points. A standout performance from Gaurav Khatri at the right corner has been pivotal; he’s already notched up a remarkable High 5. On the attacking front, the raiding trio of Aslam Inamdar, Mohit, and Pankaj has been relentless, consistently racking up points and executing a well-timed all-out on the Steelers.

For Haryana Steelers, it’s been a mixed bag. The Manikandan duo at the covers has been a bit of a weak link, conceding unnecessary points. However, there’s been a flicker of hope, as Mohammadreza Shadlou managed to wake up in the final minute with a crucial super tackle. While the Steelers have shown flashes of potential, they need to tighten their defense and ramp up their attack in the second half. Can they claw their way back into the game? The next 20 minutes will be crucial!

Pankaj Mohite gets his revenge as he ducks under Sanjay and escapes easily to secure a multi-point raid. Puneri Paltan have reviewed it demanding three points. And the review is successful and Sanjay, Rahul, and S Manikandan have to go back to the hut. 

There's just no stopping for Gaurav tonight. Single-handedly gets an ankle hold on Shivam Patare to complete his High 5. 

16' Puneri Paltan 15-10 Haryana Steelers

Shivam's quickness finally pays off as he dives under the chain of Aman and Mohit at the left corner to get a multi-point raid.

Aslam continues to add points for Pune with yet another bonus under right corner. He follows it up with a brilliant back kick on in-form Rahul Sethpal at the right corner.

Vinay replies with a smooth toe touch on Aman at the left corner.  

14' Puneri Paltan 13-7 Haryana Steelers

Last man Vishal in for raid and once again Gaurav Khatri gets a brilliant ankle hold on him just after the raider gets a bonus under him. ALL OUT!!!

12' Puneri Paltan 10-6 Haryana Steelers

Do or die raid for Mohit Goyat. He runs around and struggles to get a point but a mistake from Rahul as he advances for a double ankle hold only to see Mohit jump and escape in dying moments. 

Gaurav Khatri continues his top form as he gets a chain tackle on Vinay. 

Haryana down to two men and Mohit gets the best of S Manikandan to bring them down to one. 

10' Puneri Paltan 7-6 Haryana Steelers

A do or die raid for Vinay and he gets a touch on Aman at the left corner. Aman denies it but the raider is confident and the referee favors Vinay and Aman has to go out. 

The moment we have been waiting for is here. Shadlou is here for raid and he immediately goes to attack Aslam. However, he goes out of bounds in that process and Pune get another point.

A series of empty raids from both sides before Mohit Goyat gets a toe touch on S Manikandan at the left cover.

Shivam Patare, known for his quick feet, responds with a running bonus but is tackled in his next raid by Gaurav Khatri, who gets his second tackle point.
