Sai Prasad gets a touch on Vaibhav Kamble and returns. Ali Hadi goes in for the final raid but a dash from M Abhishek pins him down. 

Paltan 42-32 Thalaivas 

38' Himanshu snaps up a bonus point. Himanshu entices Vaibhav Kamble into coming for a dash and uses the lobby to escapes. 

Do-or-die raid for the Paltan and Amir Hassan is tackled as he runs straight into the thigh hold of the right cover M Abishek. Puneri Paltan review for bonus point. There was no moment there where the trailing foot was in the air and the leading foot had crossed the line. Review unsuccessful! 

Paltan 38-27 Thalaivas 

36' Abinesh Nadarajan with a mighty tackle as he puts in a back hold on Sachin and turns him around single-handedly. Do-or-die raid for the Paltan and V Ajith Kumar is tackled as the Nitesh Kumar from the left corner puts in an ankle hold. 

Gaurav Khatri puts in a double thigh hold and Sai Prasad is sent packing once more. Anuj Gawade with a double thigh hold and Aryavardhan Navale is tackled pretty close to the mid-line. 

Paltan 38-24 Thalaivas

34' Sachin escapes from Aman's ankle hold and returns. An ankle hold from Nitesh Kumar and Aryavardhan Navale fails to escape. 

A diving double ankle hold from Sanket Sawant from the left corner and Sai Prasad is tackled. Sanket Sawant from the left corner once again puts in a double thigh hold and Himanshu runs straight into it. 

Paltan 36-22 Thalaivas

30' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Sachin Tanwar perishes. An ankle hold from the left corner and the right side of the defense is around in a flash to pin him down. V Ajith Kumar goes deep and gets a touch on Amirhossein Bastami. 

Abinesh & Sanket Sawant run around and dash Himanshu out as soon as he picked up the bonus point. Tamil Thalaivas review. They believe one defender went out of bounds as well. Doesn't seem to be the case. Review unsuccessful!

Paltan 34-20 Thalaivas 

28' Aman tries an ankle hold but Himanshu tumbles and escapes comfortably. Do-or-die raid for the Paltan and Aryavardhan Navale picks up a bonus and is tackled as the right cover and left corner converge to block him and pin him down. 

Paltan 31-18 Thalaivas 

25' Do-or-die raid for the Puneri Paltan and V Ajith Kumar is tackled as a double ankle hold from Bastami brings him down. 

Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Sachin is tackled too as the left corner Aman runs around and puts a block on Sachin. 

Paltan 30-16 Thalaivas 

22' Aman from the left corner runs around and proceeds to dash Sai Prasad out. Do-or-die raid for the Paltan and Aryavardhan Navale is tackled as Amirhossein Bastami lunges at his feet and a double ankle hold brings him down. 

Sachin snaps up a bonus point and escapes. 

Paltan 29-15 Thalaivas 

20' Sourabh Fagare is tackled now as Gaurav Khatri runs around with a big dash. A back hold from Sachin on Aryavardhan Navale and the raider had no options to run around him. 

Thalaivas 13-28 Paltan 

18' Aryavardhan Navale is tackled as Amir Hossein Bastami runs around with a dash and pins him down. Sai Prasad is tackled as Gaurav Khatri puts in a dash. V Ajith Kumar is tackled as Sourabh Fagare pins him down. 

Do-or-die raid for the Paltan and Pankaj Mohite strikes as he gets a toe-touch on the left corner. 

Thalaivas 12-27 Paltan 

15' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Sachin strikes! Gaurav Khatri tries a back hold but Sachin tumbles and uses his legs to cross the mid-line. Sourabh Fagare goes deep in the right corner and gets a touch but finds Aman from the left corner around in a flash to tackle him. 

V Ajith Kumar runs straight into the double ankle hold of the left corner and is brought down in a flash. Abinesh Nadarajan with a big block on Sachin Tanwar and support from the other defenders allow him to dash him out. 

Thalaivas 10-25 Paltan 

12' V Ajith Kumar pushes aside the incoming dashing defender, turns around and goes from the other side, getting a touch on the defender. 

Sai Prasad is tackled as he runs straight into the double thigh hold of Gaurav Khatri. Do-or-die raid for the Paltan and Ajith Kumar is tackled as Bastami puts in an ankle hold and brings him down. 

Thalaivas 8-23 Paltan 

TIMEOUT! 

10' SUPER RAID! Aryavardhan Navale on fire tonight! Gets a kick on the right-in defender, escapes from the right corner's ankle hold and also the attempted dash from the left corner. 

ALL OUT! Sai Prasad is sent in to raid and before he can even try for the bonus, Ajith Kumar puts in an ankle hold and brings him down. 

Thalaivas 7-20 Paltan 

8' Aryavardhan Navale escapes from Abhishek M's ankle hold and returns. 

Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Sachin Tanwar picks up a bonus and sacrifices himself as both Aman and Ajith Kumar put in an ankle hold. 

Thalaivas 7-14 Paltan 

6' Himanshu picks up another bonus in front of the right corner. V Ajith Kumar reduces the Thalaivas to one as he gets a touch on Amir Hossein Bastami. 

ALL OUT! Himanshu is allowed the bonus following which he is surrounded by the defense and brought down. A double thigh hold and both corners converged. 

Amirhossein Bastami tries an ankle hold but Aryavardhan Navale escapes and returns after picking up a bonus point too. 

Thalaivas 6-12 Paltan 

4' Aman runs around from the left corner and catches Sachin by surprise. Gaurav supports him with an ankle hold. Aryavardhan continues to pick points, leaping over the left corner and returning with a point. 

Himanshu picks up a bonus in front of the right corner as the defense hangs back. V Ajith Kumar gets a touch on the left corner. 

Thalaivas 4-6 Paltan 

2' Pankaj Mohite is trapped in the very first raid as the Abishek M stands tall and blocks him. Aryavardhan Navale puts in a kick and gets a touch on the right-in defender. Sachin gets a touch on Abinesh Nadarajan and in the same hand stroke, also gets Sanket Sawant. Aryavardhan pulls back matters as a kid on the left corner and escape from the cover defender allows him to pick two.

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League, 2024. Tonight's second match will witness the Puneri Paltan taking on the Tamil Thalaivas at the Balewadi Stadium, Pune. 

Puneri Paltan will be playing their final match of the season today. It has been a season that started off on a high note but ended up fizzling out after the injury to captain Aslam Inamdar. The Paltan will be looking to finish on a high note and give their home crowd something to cheer for. They will look to give some of their bench a chance tonight as they look to unearth talent for the next season. 

The Tamil Thalaivas, similarly, had a great start to the tournament but found themselves eliminated. Sachin and Narender have disappointed and their defense, apart from left corner Nitesh Kumar, has just not gotten going. The Thalaivas eventually had more questions than answers and towards the end, the Thalaivas will look to scout young talent.
