We have witnessed an absolute demolition job from the Dabang Delhi KC here in the second half and they've breezed past the Tamil Thalaivas by 11 points in the end. There was barely anything to separate between the two sides in the first half. However it was Naveen who became the game changer in the second. The star raider picked up a super raid where he took out four of the Thalaivas players and got Dabang Delhi in the lead.

Once the super raid had been done, the Thalaivas were under immense pressure and began to falter. They were all out soon after as the point difference continued to grow for the Dabang Delhi. Ashu Malik, the champion did struggle for the greater part of the game but he came back in form at the right time and picked up four raid points. Naveen though was the hero of the match as he picked up a whopping 11 points in what was a low scoring game. 

The Tamil Thalaivas couldn't fight back under pressure. Moein Shafaghi had far too much to do on his own and he struggled to get any super raids in the next half. Sachin came in as a replacement and he picked up a few points but it was never going to be enough. Vishal Chahal's injury earlier in the game came back to haunt them big time. Star defender Nitesh Kumar was targeted specifically by Naveen and he couldn't pick up any points.

40' Second Half

Tamil Thalaivas 21-32 Dabang Delhi

Naveen Kumar had an empty raid for the Dabang Delhi and they took a time-out at that stage to ensure their strategy for the last three minutes of the game. Moein Shafaghi got a touch on Sandeep and he managed to take a point. 

Ashu Malik got another point as he was finally finding his mojo. He managed to get two points as he took out Moein with a back kick and took another point with a hand touch on Himanshu. Sachin came in for the Tamil Thalaivas and picked up a bonus point for his team. Ashu was up next for the Dabang Delhi and he was satisfied to remain on the mat for his side. 

Sachin went in for another desperate raid and he was tackled by Rahul. Ashu Malik was in for the raid next and he was only interested in killing some time to ensure that the lead remains for his team. Naveen went in for the do-or-die raid and he once again managed to get another touch point on Bastami. The penultimate raid of the game was from Ashish and he got a touch on Yogesh. Naveen went in for the final raid and he didn't bother to take a point. 

37' Second Half
 
Dabang Delhi 28-18 Tamil Thalaivas

Ashu Malik had an empty raid for the Dabang Delhi. Moein Shafaghi came in next for the Tamil Thalaivas and this time he was tackled by Ashish who blind sighted him to pin him down to the mat. 

Naveen Kumar went in next for the raid and he wasn't able to pick up a point. Ashu picked up a point for the Dabang Delhi as he managed to evade the chain tackle. 

Himanshu was the raider next for the Tamil Thalaivas and he took out Yogesh to take a point. The lead was still firmly in favor of the Dabang Delhi though. 

34' Second Half

Tamil Thalaivas 17-26 Dabang Delhi

Moein Shafaghi came in for the do-or-die raid and he did get a touch on Sandeep to pick up the points. Abhishek Manokaran came in as a substitute for the Tamil Thalaivas. 

Ashu Malik finally broke the shackles as he took out Nitesh with a speedy hand touch. Moein Shafaghi was up next for the raid and he had an empty raid. 

Naveen Kumar was in next for the Dabang Delhi and he picked up a super raid. He managed to take out four players as the tried to tackle him from behind. Ranjith Chandran went in next for the raid for the Tamil Thalaivas and he was tackled by Rahul. It inflicted the all-out on the Thalaivas. 

31' Second Half

Tamil Thalaivas 15-17 Dabang Delhi

Naveen Kumar had a successful raid next and he took out Ronak. Ranjith Chandran was the raider for the Tamil Thalaivas. He had an empty raid as he ran around the mat but couldn't pick up a point. 

Naveen Kumar went in for the raid next and he had an empty one. It was the final one before heading into the strategic Time-Out and the Dabang Delhi side had a couple of points lead. 

29' Second Half

Tamil Thalaivas 15-16 Dabang Delhi

Mohit was in next as a raider and he had a successful raid. Shafaghi had an empty raid as he didn't want to give the super tackle opportunity to the Dabang Delhi. 

Sachin was in next and he though was super tackled by Yogesh as Dabang Delhi took the lead. Naveen came back for the Dabang Delhi and went in for the raid but he had an empty one. 

Moein Shafaghi was in for the Tamil Thalaivas next and he ran around the mat but he couldn't get a touch on any of the defenders of the Dabang Delhi. 

26' Second Half

Tamil Thalaivas 15-13 Dabang Delhi

Moein Shafaghi can't get a point for the Tamil Thalaivas and Mohit was in next for the Dabang Delhi. Even he returned empty handed. Moein Shafaghi once again failed to get a point.

Ashish went in for the do-or-die raid and he was tackled by Nitesh Kumar. Sachin was up next for the do-or-die raid for the Tamil Thalaivas and he managed to score a point.

Mohit was up next for the Dabang Delhi and he was scared off with the defense and couldn't get a point. Moein Shafaghi went in and also had an empty raid. 

23' Second Half

Tamil Thalaivas 13- 13 Dabang Delhi

Mohit the substitute raider went in for the first raid of the second half for the Dabang Delhi but he wasn't able to pick up a point. Ranjith Chandran also had an empty raid for the Tamil Thalaivas. 

Ashu Malik went in for the do-or-die raid and he was tackled by the Amir Hossein Bastami who managed to pin him down. Ranjith Chandran went in for the do-or-die raid and he had been tackled by Mohit who went in for the ankle hold. 

Half Time: Tamil Thalaivas 12- Dabang Delhi 12

It has been an action packed first half and both the teams are tied on 12 points each. There hasn't been much to separate between the two. If Naveen has led the charge for the Dabang Delhi with his string of bonus pointers, it was Moein Shafaghi, the Iranian who led the charge for the Tamil Thalaivas. 

He picked up six points to his name as his fellow Iranian team mate Amir Hossein Bastami also picked up a couple of points. Naveen Kumar on the other hand picked up five points for the Dabang Delhi. However Ashu Malik had a real struggle and could only score one point. He will be looking to prove a point in the second half. 

20' First Half

Tamil Thalaivas 12-12 Dabang Delhi

Yogesh went in for the raid for the Dabang Delhi and he came back empty handed. Moein Shafaghi went in next for the raid and Gaurav blocked him to complete a super-tackle and pick up two points. 

Mohit went in for the raid for the Dabang Delhi and it was the do-or-die raid. Sachin tried to inflict an ankle hold on him but he wasn't able to stop the Delhi raider. 

Ranjith Chandran had an empty raid on the penultimate raid of the first half for the Tamil Thalaivas. Mohit was once again up for the Dabang Delhi for the final raid of the first half and he was contend to return without a point. 

17' First Half

Tamil Thalaivas 12-9 Dabang Delhi

Ashu Malik went in for the raid again and he was unsuccessful again as Moein Shafaghi dashed him out. Sachin had an empty raid next for the Tamil Thalaivas. 

Naveen once again targeted the bonus and kept the scoreboard ticking for the Dabang Delhi. Sachin finally got his first touch point for the night as he got a running touch on Ashish. 

Naveen Kumar was in for the Dabang Delhi and he was finally tackled by the Iranian showstopper Moein Shafaghi. He went in for the raid next and had an empty one for the Tamil Thalaivas.

14' First Half

Tamil Thalaivas 9-9 Dabang Delhi

Ranjith Chandran went in for the raid for the Tamil Thalaivas and he was held from the back by Yogesh. Ashu Malik was next in line for the Dabang Delhi. He was blocked by Amir Hosein Bastami. 

Sachin was in next for the Tamil Thalaivas. He had an empty raid. Ashish was in next for the raid for the Dabang Delhi. Moein Shafaghi was able to get a bonus point for the Tamil Thalaivas.

Naveen Kumar pulled off a vintage raid and he got a toe touch in the right corner on Nitesh to sneak in a point for the Delhi side. Shafaghi also got a running hand tough on Ashish to get the Thalaivas back on level. 

11' First Half

Tamil Thalaivas 6-7 Dabang Delhi

Rajith Chandran had an empty raid for the Tamil Thalaivas and Ashu Malik went in next for the raid for the Dabang Delhi. He had an empty raid and his uncertain run in the game continued. 

Heading into the strategic time-out there was barely anything to separate the two sides. The Tamil Thalaivas squandered off the early lead for themselves. Naveen Kumar was the man who was bringing the Delhi side back into the contest. 

9' First Half

Tamil Thalaivas 6-7 Dabang Delhi

Moein Shafaghi was in next and he got rid of Yogesh with a superb raid. The Thalaivas made a substitution as Sachin came in place of Vishal. Naveen meanwhile got a bonus point for the Dabang Delhi. 

Moein Shafaghi went in next for the raid for the Tamil Thalaivas and he was tackled by Sandeep. Naveen Kumar was in again and he took out Aashish for the Dabang Delhi. 

6' First Half

Tamil Thalaivas 4-4 Dabang Delhi

Moein Shafaghi had an empty raid for the Tamil Thalaivas as did Ashish for the Dabang Delhi. The Thalaivas had a do-or-die raid next and Vishal Chahal was chain tackled by Yogesh. 

He was injured in the process and was taken off the mat. It wasn't good news for the Thalaivas who had gone up in the lead early. Ashu Malik was in for the raid next for the Dabang Delhi and he took out Amir Hosein Bastami with an acrobatic raid. 

3' First Half

Tamil Thalaivas 4- 1 Dabang Delhi

Moein Shafaghi went in for the raid for the Thalaivas and he got a touch straight away on Yogesh. Ashu Malik was in next for the raid for the Dabang Delhi and he was tackled by Amir Hosein Bastami. 

Vishal Chahal had an empty raid next for the Tamil Thalaivas. Naveen Kumar went in for the raid for the Dabang Delhi and he got a sliding toe touch on Moein Shafaghi. 

Ranjith Chandran went to raid for the Tamil Thalaivas and he took out a bonus point. Naveen tried to make a super raid for Dabang Delhi but he was pulled back by Amir Hosein Bastami.

Hello and Welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of this Pro Kabaddi League 2024 game between the Tamil Thalaivas and the Dabang Delhi KC. Taking you through this game will be myself, Soumarya Dutta. 

It's time for match 87 of the on going Pro Kabaddi League as the Tamil Thalaivas take on the Dabang Delhi. The Tamil Thalaivas are coming into this contest on the back of their defeat against the Haryana Steelers. On the other hand, the Dabang Delhi will be high in spirits after having snatched out a draw from the jaws of defeat against the Patna Pirates in their previous game.

The best player for the Tamil Thalaivas in this season has been Narender Kandola who has a registered a whopping 82 raid points from 13 games and he is closing in on the 100 raid point mark. The rest of the raiders haven't been in the best of the form though. Masanamuthu came in late in the competition and has done well for them. Nitesh Kumar has been fantastic in the defense for the Thalaivas and he has scored 50 points already.

Ashu Malik is the main raider for the Dabang Delhi side and he is closing in on 150 raid points in this competition. Yogesh Dahiya has been the top defender for them with more than 40 tackle points to his name while the likes of Vinay and Ashish Narwal have also been key figures in their lineup who have saved them from tough situations.

Overall, it's the Dabang Delhi that leads the head-to-head record between this two sides and they're also ahead in the points table. They will start with the advantage but in Kabaddi nothing is impossible. Stay tuned as we take through all the action in the next few hours.
