It was a contest which ebbed and flowed. Neither of the teams deserved to lose and they end up splitting points with each other giving us the first tie of Season 11.

The Bengal Warriorz were the ones who got a headstart with their superstar in Maninder Singh scoring some quick points in the initial stages. Skipper Fazel Atrachali and Nitesh Kumar were proficient in the corners as well as the Warriorz operated smoothly. It was a slow start for U Mumba and they were trailing by 7 points at the end of the first half.

However, it was a completely different second half as U Mumba came back with much more purpose and intent. Sombir turned into a beast in the left corner and pulled off a couple of breathtaking solo tackles. Maninder and Fazel were not able to contribute much for the Negal Warriors in the second half and spent quite a few minutes on the bench.

Mumba inflicted an all-out leveling the scores before going into the lead themselves. It went down to the last raid of the match where Bengal's defense stood up and got this match to a tie with both the teams getting 3 points each.

We have the first tie of PKL Season 11! It all came down to the last raid of the match and it was a do-or-die raid for U Mumba. Rohit Raghav went in for it and the Bengal Warriorz who were without their skipper and Sultan Fazel Aterachali on court were able to capture him in their half. Rohit tried to jump over the chain but he was brought down immediately and this see-saw battle has quite fittingly ended with both the teams on equal scores.

Maninder picks up a bonus for Bengal before Manjeet goes in to raid for Mumba. He is involved in a mid-line tussle with Mayur Kadam and Fazel after Mayur Kadam attempted a dash. Manjeet fails to get past the mid-line and we have the first super tackle of the match. Meanwhile, Fazel has also gone out-of-bounds as well

30' U Mumba 22-24 Bengal Warriorz

U Mumba are storming back as Fazal gets a solid ankle hold before Sushil falters in a do-or-die raid and runs out of time to give Mumba a point. Raghav with a splendid raid removes Praveen and Nitesh as he jumps over them and gets to the mid-line in a 2-point raid. Another tackle from Mumba and just like that Bengal Warriorz are down to 2 men and their lead is down to 2 as well. Can U Mumba get back to parity?

Rinku captures Maninder in the right corner as he dives for his ankles in a do-or-die raid before Parvesh comes in to complete the tackle and then Rohit Raghav gets tackled but Mayur Kadam goes out of bounds too on the dash

Mumba get their first point of the half too in a do-or-die raid for Nitin who gets tackled by Parvesh from the left corner who goes for the ankles and the rest of Mumba team join in.

The second half starts with a couple of empty raids before Nitesh picks up yet another tackle point from the left corner giving the first point of the second half to Bengal Warriorz

U Mumba did get a couple of points in the form of a tackle point plus a raid point from Ajit Chavan but then Maninder closed the first half with a 2-point raid giving the Bengal Warriorz a 7-point lead going into the second half. His tally has also gone upto 7, he is having just another day at the office.

Bengal has performed like a team so far with the corners in Fazal and Nitesh getting most of the tackle points along with some short0blocks and dashes from Mayur Kada. Maninder has picked up 7 and he has been supported well by young Sushil Kambrakar.

U Mumba have not been able to string a few minutes of control and despite a few moments of individual brilliance from the likes of captain Sushil, Sombir and Ajit they are lagging behind. They will need a much-improved performance in the second half with someone like Zafardanesh needing to be more involved, he has almost been missing.

Bengal's defense is firing. Yet another ankle hold from Nitesh Kumar in the right corner before Fazel gets the ankles of Manjeet and stops him in his tracks.

U Mumba are now staring at an all-out. They are down to two men on the court, they did get a point on the do or die but then Nitin Kumar got his first raid point when he tagged Mumba's captain Sunil Kumar reducing Mumba's strength.

Bengal are into the lead again. Mayur Kadam dashed Manjeet out of the court and it looks like U Mumba will play for the do-or-die now with all four defenders on court.

Indeed they do, Maninder goes in for the do-or-die and he returns with a point as Sombir dives for his ankles from the left corner but Mani gets back to the mid line

Fazal gets into the act for the first time. He gets the better of young Ajit Chavan as he runs in from the left corner to tackle him. A couple of ankle holds then follow from Zafardanesh and Sushil Kambrekar on either sides and we are all square once more.

U Mumba are on a roll all of a sudden! A bonus followed up by a touch point from Manjeet before Sunil Kumar gets the big fish in Maninder with a trademark double thigh hold and just like that U Mumba are in front

It is yet another double-header day at the GMC Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad and kicking things off will be U Mumba and Bengal Warriorz who are set to square up against each other in Match 17.

It is the battle of the defenders - The ever reliable Sunil Kumar in the right cover will lead U Mumba against the Sultan Fazal Atrachali in the left corner in Bengal Warriorz's half.

Plenty of big names in the Kabaddi circuit right from the likes of Indian superstars in Maninder Singh and Sunil Kumar to the Iranian flavor in the form of Fazel Atrachali and Amirmohammad Zafardanesh are set to entertain the crowd that has gathered in anticipation of a blockbuster contest at the Gachibowli.

Both the teams have had a similar start to their campaign. Having lost their respective openers, both U Mumba and Bengal Warriorz bounced back in their next ones and are entering into this contest with a loss and a win to their names in the two matches played with the win coming in their previous encounters.

Led by Sunil Kumar, U Mumba lost their season opener to a strong unit in Dabang Delhi KC where their strong defensive unit failed to make an impression and the team could just come out with a solitary point. However, they bounced back in their next match against the Gujarat Giants' unit with all-rounder Amirmohammad Zafardanesh leading the way.

Bengal Warriorz lost out to Jaipur Pink Panthers in their first match but just like their opponents for the day, they too bounced back in their next match and got the better off UP Yoddhas in a closely fought match. Young Sushil Kambrekar made a strong all-round impression for them.
