Full Time : UP Yoddhas 30-27 U Mumba

WOWWW! That was edge of the seat stuff and we've had a mighty close contest here. Credit to U Mumba for coming back from behind in the second half and making a real match of it after they trailed by 8 points. However, the UP Yoddhas and Sahul Kumar held their nerve under pressure and they managed to get the points at the key junctures to ensure that the win was theirs. 

The story of the game for the UP Yoddhas was written by their raiders, Gagan Gowda and Bhavani Rajput who managed to pick up five and seven points respectively. Bharat Hooda got four raid points while Hitesh lead the charge in the defense. Skipper Sumit had three points while Sahul Kumar came in towards the end and got a point too. The UP Yoddhas did falter a bit in the second half but re-grouped themselves to make sure that they game didn't slip away from their hands. 

Ajit Chouhan was the main wrecker in chief for the U Mumba and he scored five points. Manjeet picked up four points too but Rinku and Lokesh disappointed as did Zafardanesh as they weren't able to give their best. The recovery for U Mumba began in the second half as Saurabh Raut and Rohit Raghav came in as substitutes. The duo picked up three points each and managed to inflict the all-out on the UP Yoddhas. The deficit was down to just one point for the U Mumba with less than 100 seconds but they couldn't hold their nerve and ended up giving away some key points to the U Mumba. 

40' Second Half

UP Yoddhas 30-27 U Mumba

Rohit Raghav went in for a crucial raid for the U Mumba and he was tackled by Sumit. Gagan Gowda didn't risk getting out for the UP Yoddhas and he returned empty handed. 

Saurabh Raut was in next for the U Mumba and he went back empty handed. Gagan Gowda was in next for the UP Yoddhas. Saurabh Raut went in for a raid for the U Mumba and he got a touch on Mahender. 

Gagan Gowda went in for the do-or-die raid for the UP Yoddhas. The U Mumba defense took him down as Rinku inflicted the ankle hold. Raut went in next for the U Mumba and he returned empty handed. 

Sahul Kumar tackled Rohit Raghav and it was a decisive one as it helped the Yoddhas clinch the game. Bhavani Rajput went in for the final raid of the night and he took out Zafardanesh to ensure the seamless win. 

37 ' Second Half

UP Yoddhas 26-25 U Mumba

Bharat Hooda was tackled on the do-or-die raid by Parvesh Bhainswal. Ashu Singh had an empty raid for the UP Yoddhas and Rohit Raghav was in next for the U Mumba. He picked up two points to increase the chance of the all out further.

Keshav Kumar was tackled by Rinku and the all out had been enforced. It got the U Mumba back into the game as the lead was down to just 1 point for the UP Yoddhas heading into the final three minutes of the game. 

34' Second Half

UP Yoddhas 25-19 U Mumba

Saurabh Raut got the game underway post the time-out and he got a touch on Bhavani Rajput. Gagan Gowda managed to get a bonus point. Raut again leaped out of Hitesh's grasp. 

Bharat Hooda went in next for the raid for the UP Yoddhas. He had an empty one. Rohit Raghav opened his account by getting a touch on Gagan Gowda. It decreased the deficit further for U Mumba. 

Bharat Hooda was in again and he had an empty raid. Rohit Raghav was in for the next raid and it was an empty one for the U Mumba. 

Time Out : UP Yoddhas 24- U Mumba 16

The final raid before the Time-Out was by Bhavani Rajput and he managed to get a touch on Sunil Kumar while Zafardanesh accidentally ventured out into the lobby. It inflicted the all out on U Mumba and the UP Yoddhas managed to double their lead to 8 points heading into the final phase of the game. 

31' Second Half

UP Yoddhas 20 -16 U Mumba

Manjeet was tackled from behind by Ashu Singh to increase the misery on the U Mumba. Bhavani Rajput increased the lead further as he got a faint running touch on Parvesh Bhainswal. 

Ajit Chouhan did have a successful raid as he managed to get a bonus point. Bhavani Rajput had an empty raid next. Rohit Raghav too couldn't get any points for the U Mumba despite coming in as a subsitute. 

Bhavani Rajput managed to get a touch on Rohit Raghav as the U Mumba player turned his back. Amir Zafardanesh managed to pick up a bonus point to keep U Mumba in the game. 

26' Second Half

UP Yoddhas 17-14 U Mumba

Bhavani Rajput went in for the do-or-die raid and he was tackled by Parvesh Bhainswal. However the Yoddhas decided to review. But the result didn't go in this favor. 

Ajit Chouhan went in for the next raid and it was a superb one. He lured Mahender who tried to ankle hold and he escaped from his grasp in quick time. Bharat Hooda was next for the Yoddhas and he managed to leap ahead of Lokesh. 

Ajit Chouhan came in again for the U Mumba. It was an empty raid for him. Bharat Hooda was up again and UP Yoddhas had another point courtesy him taking out Rinku. 

23' Second Half

UP Yoddhas 15-12 U Mumba

Bharat Hooda went in for the first raid of the second half.  However he failed to get a point. Manjeet was in for the next raid for the U Mumba and it was another empty raid. 

Bharat was once again in for the UP Yoddhas and he couldn't get any points. Zafardanesh came in for the U  Mumba and was tackled from behind as Sumit held him by the ankle. 

Bhavani Rajput was in for the next raid. He failed to get any points though. Manjeet also returned empty handed. 

Half Time : UP Yoddhas 13-12 U Mumba

We've had an incredible first half here with the defenses of both the teams holding on to their own. However at the end of it, the Yoddhas manage to lead by the barest of margins as they're ahead by one point. Bhavani Rajput and Gagan Gowda have picked up three points each for the UP Yoddhas but Hitesh has been the star of the show as the defender has four points to his name. 

For the U Mumba, Manjeet managed to pick up four points and Ajit Chouhan picked up three points. The latter struggled initially and only came to the party quite late. The U Mumba defense will need to step up in the next half and put on a special performance. 

20' First Half

U Mumba 12-13 UP Yoddhas

Bhavani Rajput was tackled on a do-or-die raid by Lokesh finally and Manjeet went in for the U Mumba to claim a touch point. He did get the point as Ashu Singh was out. 

Gagan Gowda went in for the next raid for the UP Yoddhas and he was tackled from behind by Sunil Kumar. Kumar and Bharat Hooda had an empty raid each heading into the final seconds of the game. 

Bharat Hooda had an empty raid and Ajit Chouhan was super tackled by Hitesh from behind to end the riveting first half. The Yoddhas were ahead by just one point on difference. 

17' First Half

U Mumba 9- 11 UP Yoddhas

Ajit Chouhan finally delivered under pressure for the U Mumba as he managed to pick up a point on a do-or-die raid by getting a touch on Rinku. Bhavani Rajput also converted the do-or-die raid into a point. 

Ajit Chouhan pulled off a big raid as he got a touch on Bharat Hooda. Gagan Gowda was in next for the UP Yoddhas and he failed to get a touch point. 

Ajit Chouhan went in again for the U Mumba and he did get the bonus point however he was tackled from behind by Hitesh. Bhavani went in for the follow up raid and it was an empty one. Zafardanesh went in for the rapid raid and he was taken down by Mahender. The referees had a long discussion and awarded one point each in the end. 

14' First Half

U Mumba 6-8 UP Yoddhas

Bharat Hooda went in for the first raid post the time-out and he couldn't get a point. Manjeet went in for the quick do-or-die raid and he was tackled by Sumit. 

Bhavani Rajput was dragged by his ankle from behind by Lokesh but he easily crossed the line and picked up the point. Ajit Chouhan was in next for the U Mumba and he was kept quite again. 

Bhavani Rajput was in for the next raid and he failed to breach the defense. Zafardanesh went in for the U Mumba and he too had an empty raid. Bhavani was up for his second raid in a row and it was an empty raid again. 

10' First Half

U Mumba 6-6 UP Yoddhas

Manjeet had an empty raid again for the U Mumba and Gagan Gowda was tackled on the do-or-die raid as Rinku and Sunil Kumar inflicted the chain tackle heading into the strategic time-out. 

Ajit Chouhan threw in a few kicks on the final raid before the time-out as both the sides were neck and neck on the points. There was barely anything to separate between the two sides 

9' First Half

U Mumba 5-6 UP Yoddhas

Bhavani Rajput had an unsuccessful raid for the UP Yoddhas. Amirmohammad Zafardanesh was the next raid for the U Mumba. 

Gagan Gowda had a successful raid for the UP Yoddhas as he got a touch on Gagan Gowda. Ajit Chouhan managed to get a raid on Mahender Singh. 

Gagan Gowda had an empty raid next and Ajit Chouhan was tackled by Hitesh. 

6' First Half

U Mumba 3- 4 UP Yoddhas

Bhavani Rajput was in next and it was an empty raid for the Yoddhas. Manjeet ran around the court and he too failed to get a point for U Mumba. Bharat Hooda came in for the Yoddhas next and it was another empty raid. 

Sunil Kumar was the next raider for the U Mumba and he had an empty raid. Bhavani Rajput had to get a do-or-die raid point and he managed to do so as he got over the line and took Lokesh Ghosliya on the way. 

Manjeet went in for the do-or-die raid for the U Mumba and he got a running hand touch on Ashu Singh. He got rid of Singh for the second time in the game. 

3' First Half

U Mumba 2-3 UP Yoddhas

Manjeet went in for the first raid for the U Mumba. He ran around the court and got a supreme running touch on Ashu Singh and Mahender Singh. Gagan Gowda went in for the raid for the UP Yoddhas and he got a touch on Zafardanesh. 

Ajit Chouhan went in for the next raid for the U Mumba and it was an empty raid. Gagan Gowda was in next and he got the bonus point. Ajit Chouhan came in for his second raid and he was tackled by Bharat. However he did get the bonus point though.

It's time for Match 114 of season 11 and it will be the UP Yoddhas taking on the U Mumba. The U Mumba are coming into this contest on the back of a win against the Tamil Thalaivas. The UP Yoddhas  on the other hand were involved in a tie against the Bengal Warriors. 

The U Mumba are well placed at number 5 in the points table. Ajit Chouhan has been the talisman for the Haryana Steelers this season in the raiding department. He has racked up 153 points from 18 games and scored a super 10 in his last game. The defense on the other hand has been led by Sombir Goswami who has 43 tackle points to his name. All-rounder Rohit Raghav  is also a player to watch out for as he is the brink of amassing 70 points in the season. 

Bhavani Rajput will be the main raider for the UP Yoddhas and he has been in exceptional form. He has accumulated 107 raid points in 17 games. Hitesh will be leading the defense for the UP Yoddhas and has scored 55 tackle points in 18 matches. Bharat Hooda is the best all-rounder in the team with 102 points in 18 matches. 

Overall, the U Mumba have faced the UP Yoddhas  13 times in the history of PKL. Both teams have been been neck and neck as far as the results are concerned. U Mumba have won 8 matches and Yoddhas have also won six each so there isn't much to separate between the two sides based on numbers.  However it will be a more crucial game for the U Mumba as a win will take them in the top four of the table.
