FULL TIME 40' UP Yoddhas 31-31 Bengal Warriorz

It ends as a tie and rightly so! The match went from one way to the other and then back to the other for multiple times and at last we have no winners, just the game of Kabaddi which emerges as the final winner.

Vishwas picked up a bonus right under the nose of Yoddhas skipper Sumit and Bengal were in the lead for a brief moment before Bhawani Rajput picked up an easy touch point against a defense of 2. It was all upto the final raid of Vishwas and he tried to get the touch point or the bonus multiple times, credit to the Yoddhas defense for not flinching and he had to return empty handed.

Gagan Gowda and Pranay Rane picked up Super-10s with 11 and 10 raid points respectively but the most interesting part was when Vishwas was substituted in the final few minutes of the game and ended up picking 5 raid points. Begs the question as to why he was not brought in earlier in place of Maninder who was clearly struggling today picking up just the 1 point from 14 raid points and getting tackled 6 times.

In the defensive side of things, the right-corners for both the teams, Hitesh and Nitesh were fabulous picking up High-5s, 6 and 5 tackle points respectively while Fazel Atrachali picked up 4 points too.

By virtue of the 3 points from this tie, Yoddhas move to the 4th place in the points table and strengthen their chances of making it to the playoffs while the season is all but done for the Bengal Warriorz, I fear that their rope has come to an end. Huge raid from Vishwas who levels the scores yet again! He was the sole man left on mat for the Warriorz and he went in to raid, picked up a bonus plus a touch as well. We head into the last minute with nothing to choose between both the teams, Bengal have 2 men on the court. This is a cliffhanger!

Fazel puts in a huge dash in a super tackle but gets out of bounds himself. Bengal were down to 2 as Bhavani came in to raid, the Bengal skipper threw himself at him and ended up dashing him out but he also left the court with the momentum. Two men on the court for Bengal with 2 minutes to go, their skipper is not on the mat though

UP Yoddhas are making crucial inroads! Pranay Rane and Gagan Gowda with single point raids completed their Super-10s and then Maninder Singh went in for a do-or-die raid and with the kind of day he has had, was easily tackled by Bharat who got his ankle

32' UP Yoddhas 25-23 Bengal Warriorz

4-point raid for Gagan Gowda and the script has been flipped! The tall raider first picked up a bonus and then on his way back Mayur Kadam tried to dash him out, He ushered him off, got a touch on Nitesh who was coming in for the assist and git the left-in as well who went for his ankles. This is complete drama!

30' UP Yoddhas 21-23 Bengal Warriorz

Bengal Warriors inflict the all-out and move into the lead! This has been a remarkable effort from the Warriorz who are refusing to give up. First up, it was a point in raid against a defense of 2 for Pranay Rane who used his speed yet again. And then, the last man, Gagan Gowda was cleaned up Fazel from the left corner. They are playing as a unit now, the Warriorz are turning the heat up!

Bengal defense pounced on Bharat to reduce the Yoddhas to 2 and then Maninder was super-tackled by 2 men, how rare is that, it was like his feet got stuck in sand

Yet again Maninder gets tackled! It was a do-or-die raid for him this time and he was tackled far too easily by the Yoddhas defense. And then, it was do-or-die time for Keshav and he was dashed out by Mayur Kadam

21' UP Yoddhas 15-14 Bengal Warriorz

Fazel starts off the second half with a bang! He dives for the ankles of Gagan Gowda from the left corner and gets the better of him to get the first point of the second half

HALF TIME 20' UP Yoddhas 15-13 Bengal Warriorz

2-point lead for the Yoddhas at the half time mark! It was a do-or-die sequence for both the teams to end the half and the raiders met the same fate. Firstly, it was Gagan Gowda who was tackled by Nitesh Kumar who has already notched up 4 tackle points and then Pranay faced another do-or-die situation against a defense of 4 and yet again he was gobbled up by Hitesh who has been the unsung hero in the right corner for the Yoddhas with 4 tackle points of his own.

UP Yoddhas have done well to maintain a slender lead throughout the first half and will want to increase that in the next 20 but it is now-or-never for Bengal Warriorz who will up the ante in the coming minutes. Will we see Maninder being substituted in the second half, he has been tackled multiple times and has just the 1 raid point? Both teams will start the second half with 5 men on court

Maninder visits the bench yet again! The defense for Bengal did the job and tackle sub-raider Keshav on a do-or-die raid and then Maninder was yet again caught by the right corner Hitesh who got in a double thigh hold on them

16' UP Yoddhas 13-11 Bengal Warriorz

This is too close for comfort, folks! A do-or-die raid sequence and both the defenses stand up. Nitesh gets the better of Gagan Gowda and then a couple of raids later Pranay Rane went in against a raid of 4 and wad captured with all 4 men pouncing on him

13' UP Yoddhas 12-10 Bengal Warriorz

Maninder gets a touch point and then gets caught in his next raid! The off-day for the star raider of the Warriorz continues, he opened his account with a touch point on Ashu but then in his following raid got his thighs locked in by Mahender

11' UP Yoddhas 11-9 Bengal Warriorz

Pranay Rane's wings are clipped! It was a do-or-die for the young raider and he tried to leap over the right corner Hitesh who got a superb double thigh hold on him and pinned him to the mat. The right corner on the other side, Nitesh Kumar got inspired too and with the help of an assist from Fazel, tackled Bhavani Rajput on another do-or-die.

10' UP Yoddhas 10-8 Bengal Warriorz

It is a close affair as we head into out first strategic break! Two-point lead for the Yoddhas whose raiders have done almost all the scoring for them, 4 for Gagan and 4 for Bhavani so far. On the other hand, Bengal have had the same story as well with 6 out of the 8 points coming from Pranay Rane and the other two via a super tackle.

The two teams are trading blows left, right and center! Bengal started it off with a super tackle on Bhavani Rajput and then Pranay got 3 raid points in two attempts. In between all that was a super raid for Gagan Gowda who got two touches and a bonus, this is going at a frenetic pace

Hello and good evening from Sourabh as I welcome you to Sportskeeda's continued live coverage of PKL 11. The race for the playoffs is heating up and we have an all important encounter coming up in the form of Match 108 between UP Yoddhas and Bengal Warriorz at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune

On one hand are the UP Yoddhas who enter this match positioned at number 5 in the position table and a win could potentially take the Yoddhas straight upto the second spot, on the other hand are the Bengal Warriorz whose season is hanging by a thread with just 5 wins in 17 matches so far, a win keeps their slim chances alive but a loss could well be the end of Bengal's season this time.

Both the teams are coming into this with a win in their previous match. While Bengal put up a all-round performance to sail past the Bulls with a scoreline of 44-29, it was a much closer affair for the Yoddhas who prevailed against the Paltan 36-33.

It could well turn out to be a battle of defenses with skipper Sumit for the Yoddhas taking on skipper Fazel for the Warriorz manning their respective left corners on either sides. Who will come out on top? Let's find out together!
