PHEW!! That was quite a second half her at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune. The hosts Puneri Paltan crawled back from behind as they reduced the deficit from 10 points at the half way stage of the innings to just 3 points at the end of the game. The UP Yoddhas seemed to be faltering at the back end but they just about held on to their nerves and got over the line with three points in the end. 

For the Yoddhas, it was Gagan Gowda who was the star of the show. He was unreal in the middle phase of the second half as he delayed an inevitable all-out by picking up four back to back points. He finished the game with a whopping 15 points. Bhavani Rajput had a tough night as he managed to get only 6 points but in the end he managed to get the final point of the game. Sumit was the star in the defense for them and Keshav Kumar also picked up some key points coming in as a substitute in the second half. 

The Puneri Paltan came back into the game through the pair of Pankaj Mohite and Aryawardhan Nawale. The latter came in as a substitute in the second half and he managed to pick up some key points early on. Mohit Goyat proved his worth as well as he managed to score 7 points however the defenders, Sanket Sawant and Aman struggled a bit. 

Overall, it has been another incredible game of Kabaddi where the audience were thoroughly entertained. However the Puneri Paltan will be disappointed as they failed to get the result in their favor. They are in some serious problem as they continue to be in the bottom of the table. The UP Yoddhas though will be thrilled as they've continued with their unbeaten run for four games now. They have moved further up in the points table and will be cherishing this run of form. 

40' Second Half

UP Yoddhas 36-33 Puneri Paltan

Pankaj Mohite picked up a point again as he was running through the UP Yoddhas defense. Bhavani Rajput failed to breach the UP Yoddhas defense and he was tackled in a do-or-die raid. 

Aryawardhan Nawale had an empty raid for the Puneri Paltan but they were just two points away from equaling the scores with one minute left on the clock. He did fail in his next raid though as Sumit Sangwan dashed him out and the UP Yoddhas increased their lead to three points. 

Bhavani Rajput went in for the next raid and he delayed the proceedings only to remain on the mat. Ashu sacrificed himself as Pankaj Mohite managed to pick up a point. Bhavani Rajput went in for the final raid of the game and he managed to pick up a point on a do-or-die raid. 

37' Second Half

UP Yoddhas 34-30 Puneri Paltan

Gagan Gowda again delayed the all-out as he picked up a point through a touch on Aryawardhan Nawale. He also got a bonus in the process. The Paltan challenged the decision but it wasn't really overturned. 

However the review was successful for the Paltan and they managed to bring the deficit down to just five points as the all-out had been inflicted. 

Pankaj Mohite was able to take out Ashu Singh. Gagan Gowda was in next for the UP Yoddhas. Gagan Gowda didn't manage a point as the pressure increased on the Yoddhas. 

34' Second Half

Puneri Paltan 25-33 UP Yoddhas

Pankaj Mohite had a successful raid and he took out Sahul Kumar of the UP Yoddhas. However, Gagan Gowda got the Yoddhas ahead again with a SUPER RAID. He picked up a couple of points with touches on Pankaj Mohite and Dadasa Pujari.

Mohit Goyat managed to get a toe touch on Mahender Singh. Gagan Gowda was in next again and he picked up a bonus point for the UP Yoddhas.

Pankaj Mohite was again picked up a point as he evaded the grasp of Bhavani Rajput. However Gagan  Gowda managed to evade the all-out again for the UP Yoddhas. 

31' Second Half

Puneri Paltan 22-27 UP Yoddhas

Keshav Kumar got a bonus point for the Yoddhas but Pankaj Mohite got a two pointer for the Puneri Paltan. They reduced the Yoddhas on the brink of an all-out. 

However Gaurav Khatri picked up two points including a bonus to keep the Yoddhas in the game and ensured that they also held on their raid heading into the time out. Heading into the final 9 minutes of the game, the difference between the two sides was only 5 points. 

29' Second Half

Puneri Paltan 20-24 UP Yoddhas

Pankaj Mohite got an empty raid and the next raid was a do-or-die raid for the UP Yoddhas. Bhavani Rajput failed to convert a do-or-die raid and the Paltan kept crawling back into the contest. 

Pankaj Mohite was in next and he got an ankle touch on Ashu Singh to reduce the gap even further. The difference was down to just four points between the two sides with 10 minutes left in the contest. 

26' Second Half

Puneri Paltan 18-24 UP Yoddhas

Aryawardhan Nawale once again picked up a point for the Paltan. Bhavani Rajput had an empty raid for the UP Yoddhas. Mohit Goyat was in for the raid next for the Paltan and he returned empty handed. 

Gagan Gowda went in for the raid next and the Puneri Paltan pulled of a super tackle. It was an unbelievable tackle from Mohit Goyat as he pulled off the ankle hold. 

Pankaj Mohite was in next and he got a running touch on Bharat Hooda. The Paltan kept narrowing down the gap. Bhavani Rajput was in next for the raid. He returned empty handed again. 

23' Second Half

Puneri Paltan 14-24 UP Yoddhas

Bhavani Rajput picked up a point straightaway as he took out Sanket Sawant. Aryavardhan was the raider next for the Puneri Paltan and he managed to take out Bhavani Rajput with a touch. 

Gagan Gowda had a successful raid for the Yoddhas as he got rid of Aman with a touch point. Aryavardhan Nawale again returned with a bonus point for the Paltan. 

Bhavani had an empty raid for the Yoddhas and Nawale once again stole a bonus point for the Paltan as they managed to increase the pressure on the Yoddhas. However, Bhavani Rajput managed to pick up a point next as Gaurav Khatri failed to tackle him. 

Half Time : UP Yoddhas 21- 11 Puneri Paltan 

Woww!! We've had an absolutely thrilling first half here and the UP Yoddhas are running away with the game at the moment. They are 10 points ahead of the Paltan at the moment and the home side is struggling with their defense as well as their raiding. 

For the Yoddhas, Gagan Gowda has picked up 7 points and Bhavani Rajput has aided him with a couple of points. Ashu, Mahender and Sumit combined in defense to ensure that the Paltan couldn't get those crucial points when they had to.

20' First Half 

Puneri Paltan 11-21 UP Yoddhas

Mohit Goyat went in for the raid next and he taken down by Ashu Singh who inflicted the ankle hold on him with Sumit chipping in from behind to complete the tackle. 

Gagan Gowda managed to get a running hand touch on Pankaj Mohite to increase the lead for the UP Yoddhas. The Yoddhas defense chain tackled Akash Shinde and Mahender lead the charge. 

The final raid of the first half was from Bhavani Rajput and he didn't take any risks. He was satisfied to just remain on the mat as the first half ended for the Yoddhas with 10 points. 

17' First Half

Puneri Paltan 8-18 UP Yoddhas

Akash Shinde went in trying to get some momentum  for the Paltan and he was tackled from behind by Sumit again. Gagan Gowda went in for the raid for the UP Yoddhas but he was satisfied to come back without a point. 

The next raid was an empty one from Mohit Goyat and the UP Yoddhas were in a do-or-die situation next. Bhavani Rajput was tackled by Sanket Sawant as the Paltan finally picked up a point much to the cheers of the crowd. 

Mohit Goyat went in next for the Paltan and he lifted the spirits with a successful raid. He got a touch on Hitesh. Gagan Gowda went in next and he managed to take out Gaurav Khatri. 

14' First Half

Puneri Paltan 6-16 UP Yoddhas

Akash Shinde came in for the raid for the Puneri Paltan and he was tackled out by Sumit Sangwan. Bhavani Rajput was in for the UP Yoddhas next and he redeemed himself with a touch on Gaurav Khatri. 

The Paltan were on the verge of being all out and it was inflicted on them as Mohit Goyat had been tackled in the right corner by Hitesh. The Yoddhas increased the lead to 8 points at that stage. 

Gagan Gowda got a running touch on Satyappa Matti to increase the misery further for the Paltan. Pankaj Mohite was up next and he was dashed from behind by the Yoddhas regime. Bharat Hooda was the one who tackled him out.

11' First Half

Puneri Paltan 5-9 UP Yoddhas

Akash Shinde had an empty raid for the Puneri Paltan. Bhavani Rajput was up again for the next raid and he managed to get a touch on Sanket Sawant to increase the lead even further for the Yoddhas heading into the strategic Time-Out. 

9' First Half

Puneri Paltan 5-7 UP Yoddhas

Bharat Hoodas went in for the next raid for the Yoddhas and Gaurav Khatri tackled him out. Mohit Goyat went in next for the Puneri Paltan and he returned empty handed. 

Gagan Gowda came in again for the UP Yoddhas. He too failed to break the deadlock as he returned for an empty raid. Pankaj Mohite was back in for the raid and he was tackled from behind by Ashu Singh. 

Bhavani Rajput muscled his way through to the touch line as he evaded a dash by Satyappa Matti. 

6' First Half

Puneri Paltan 3-6 UP Yoddhas

Bhavani Rajput went in for the raid for the UP Yoddhas but he was tackled out by Pankaj Mohite. Akash Shinde was up next for the Paltan and he showed some urgency and pulled off a superb raid. He got the first raid point for the Paltan as he took out Ashu Singh. 

Gagan Gowda was up next for the UP Yoddhas. He floored the defense of the Paltan and he managed to get three points converting it into a super raid. 

Pankaj Mohite was up next and he managed to get a toe touch on Bhavani Rajput to pick up a point. 

3' First Half

Puneri Paltan 1-3 UP Yoddhas

Akash Shinde went in for the first raid of the night and he was dashed out of the lobby by Akash Shinde. Gagan Gowda came in for the first raid of the UP Yoddhas and he managed to pick up a bonus point. 

Mohit Goyat was up next for the Puneri Paltan and he failed to convert the raid into a point. Bhavani Rajput came in for the UP Yoddhas and he too had an empty raid. 

Pankaj Mohite was up next for the Puneri Paltan. He settled for an empty raid. Gagan Gowda was tackled by Aman as the Puneri Paltan picked up their first point. They had a do-or-die raid next and Akash Shinde was blocked out by Hitesh who inflicted the thigh hold.

It's time for Match 97 of season 11 and it will be the UP Yoddhas taking on the Puneri Paltan. The Yoddhas are coming into this contest on the back of a tie against the Dabang Delhi KC. The Puneri Paltan on the other hand had a bad outing against the U Mumba as they lost the Maharashtra derby. 

The Yoddhas are well placed at number 4 in the points table. Bhavani Rajput has been the talisman for the UP Yoddhas this season in the raiding department. He has racked up 93 points from 15 games and scored a super 10 in his last game. The defense on the other hand has been led by Sumit Sangwan who has 50 tackle points to his name. All-rounder Bharat Hooda is also a player to watch out for as he is the brink of amassing 100 points in the season. 

Pankaj Mohite has been the star raider for the Puneri Paltan in a season that has not exactly gone well for them. They're placed at number 8 in the points table and will require the result to go in their favor here. Gaurav Khatri has lead the defense for the Puneri Paltan and has managed to get close to 50 points in 16 points. 

Overall, the UP Yoddhas have faced the Puneri Paltan 13 times in the history of PKL. Both teams have won 6 matches each so there isn't much to separate between them. However it will be a more crucial game for the Paltan as a win will take them in the top six of the table. Stay tuned as we take you through the ebbs and flows of this contest for the next few hours.
