AEW Collision and Rampage Live Results (April 27, 2024): Update on Tony Khan's future, former WWE stars debut, Huge brawl, major heel turn

Towards the end of the match, Katsuyori Shibata hits the PK on Lee Moriarty to pick up the win.

Lee Moriarty comes in and he chops Katsuyori Shibata to no effect. STP maker their comeback by double teaming Shibata, but the Japanese star and Garcia apply sleeper holds on the STP members.

Daniel Garcia makes his comeback by driving Lee Moriarty on the mat and he tags in Katsuyori Shibata. Shibata and Garcia unload on STP in the corner.

Shibata then chops Shane Taylor down and follows up with a knee strike to the head. Shibata and Garcia double team Taylor.

Moriarty drops Garcia with a suplex and tags in Taylor. After some back-and-forth, Moriarty wears Garcia down, but Shibata comes in with a kick to the back.

Taylor and Garcia engage in a back-and-forth battle in the ring. Daniel Garcia has been isolated and Moriarty chokes him on the ropes.

Garcia hits an uppercut and follow up with chops. Shane Taylor trips Garcia and drops him with a DDT on the floor.

STP get the upperhand and isolate Katsuyori Shibata. Daniel Garcia comes in and he hits a series of twisters before dropping Lee Moriarty on the mat.

A fight breaks out as soon as STP come out to the ring. Katsuyori Shibata and Daniel Garcia stand tall.

Big Bill vs. Trevor Blackwell

Big Bill unloads on Trevor Blackwell from the get go. He refuses to get the three-count on two occasions. Bill lifts Blackwell with one hand and hits a chokeslam for the win.

The Undisputed Kingdom appear in a backstage segment and Roderick Strong puts Will Ospreay on notice.

Post-match, Rosa celebrates on the ramp. However, Deonna attacks her from behind and turns heel. The two have a brawl before being separated by officials.

Towards the end of the match, Deonna Purrazzo locks in the fujiwara armbar, but Thunder Rosa counters it with a sleeper hold. The two stars exchange roll ups, Deonna tries for an armbar.

But Thunder Rosa rolls Deonna Purrazzo up for the win.

After some back-and-forth, Thunder Rosa makes her comeback, but Deonna Purrazzo stops her and plants her on the mat. Rosa rolls up and stomps on Purrazzo.

The two stars have a vicious exchange at the ringside area. Back in the ring, Deonna gets a two-count on Rosa. She gets another two-count with a backstabber.

Purrazzo makes her comeback and traps Rosa on the ropes. The Virtuosa is in control, but Thunder Rosa hits a running dropkick on the outside. Rosa misses a chop and Deonna drops her with a pump kick.

Both stars grapple one another early on before Thunder Rosa knocks Deonna Purrazzo down. Rosa then applies a submission move in the middle of the ring.

Kyle O'Reilly is in a backstage segment. He cuts a promo about wrestling his hometown (Vancouver) next month before hyping the AEW roster.

Post-match, Orange Cassidy comes in, but Trent Beretta strikes Chuck Taylor on the knee before walking away.

We see Don Callis looking at the proceedings on a screen.

The two stars battle on top of a car before trying to hug it out. Trent low blows Taylor and piledrives him on top of the car. He then applies a submission move to get the win over his former partner.

Trent Beretta drops Chuck Taylor on top of light tubes before Taylor drops Trent with a powerbomb on top of a car. Taylor gets a two-count.

Beretta takes a screwdriver and attacks Taylor's forehead with it. Chuck Taylor makes his comeback with more weapons, including a shovel.

Taylor is busted open, but he power bombs Beretta on top of a car. Taylor unloads on Beretta, but the latter drops him over a wooden structure. Trent continues his assault.

The two stars unload on one another. Chuck Taylor takes a trash can lid, but Trent Beretta drops Taylor on a car. He then attacks Taylor with a trash can.

We quickly move to AEW Rampage.

Post-match, Strickland and Prince Nana celebrate in the ring. Swerve Strickland and Claudio Castagnoli show respect to one another as the show goes off air.

Claudio catches Swerve's Swerve Stomp and hits an uppercut for a two-count. After some back-and-forth, Strickland connects with the Swerve Stomp.

He then hits the House Call on Claudio Castagnoli to retain his title on AEW Collision.

Claudio Castagnoli gets a two-count after a running lariat on Swerve Strickland. Swerve dodges a Neutraliser and spikes Claudio with a DDT.

The BCC member then transition into a crossface before Swerve gets a two-count with a reversal. Claudio with some hammer and anvil strikes.

Strickland goes for the House Call, but Claudio avoids it. He then hits the Giant Swing and follows up with a Boston Crab in the middle of the ring.

Swerve Strickland lifts Claudio Castagnoli up and plants him on the mat. He then follows up with the Swerve Stomp, but only a two-count.

Back in the ring, Strickland connects with a 450-splash and gets another nearfall. Both stars have a back-and-forth before taking each other down with double lariats.

Strickland gets another two-count shortly after. The action again spills to the outside and Strickland hits a moonsault from the elevated ramp.

Swerve Strickland hits a knee strike on the outside and follows up with a flying elbow strike. He then connects a flatliner and gets a two-count on the BCC member.

Back in the ring, Claudio has the upperhand and he gets a one-count by slamming Strickland on the mat. Swerve gets some offense in and lays out Claudio on the apron.

Castagnoli makes his comeback by slamming Strickland on the barricades and he follows up with an uppercut. Bad landing for the AEW World Champion.

The action spills to the outside briefly and Claudio is thrown on the ramp. After some back-and-forth with forearm shots, Swerve Strickland kicks Claudio, who is stuck on the ropes.

Both stars lock up in the initial stages of the match. The two try to outsmart one another, but Claudio Castagnoli almost steals the win. He catches Swerve midair and hits a backbreaker.

Katsuyori Shibata is in a backstage segment. He says he will chop down the Learning Tree on Dynamite and win the FTW Championship. He says He says he will fight STP alone.

Daniel Garcia comes in and wants to partner Shibata. The Japanese star accepts.

We have Swerve Strickland vs. Claudio Castagnoli in the main event.

Towards the end, Caster comes in and sends Drake to the outside. Bowens plants Gibson and Caster hits the Mic Drop for the win.

The Acclaimed win

Anthony Bowens looks to fight off GYV. He takes out Drake with a PK. GYV double team Bowens, but he kicks out at two. Billy Gunn tries to interfere.

The Acclaimed then hit a double team move on James Drake, but only for a two-count. GYV make their comeback and slam Caster on the ramp.

Caster makes the tag to Bowens. Bowens hits discus spinning elbows. Max Caster makes the blind tag and The Acclaimed hit the Scissor Me Timbers on Drake.

After some back-and-forth, Caster tries a sunset flip on Gibson, but he holds on and tags in James Drake. GYV have isolated Max Caster and continuously double team him.

James Drake comes in after a blind tag and uses his partner as a launching pad to take The Acclaimed out. GYV hit a double team backbreaker on Caster.

Drake and Anthony Bowens unload on one another before Gibson comes in. The Acclaimed double team Gibson for a two-count.

Max Caster and Zack Gibson start the match. James Drake is tagged in, but The Acclaimed hit a necbreaker/backbreaker combo on Drake.

Grizzled Young Veterans make their AEW debut. They face The Acclaimed.

Chuck Taylor is ready for the parking lot brawl on Rampage and he tells Orange Cassidy that no one should interfere. Whatever happens. He says he needs to do it alone.
