AEW Collision Live Results (July 22, 2023): Heel turn confirmed, CM Punk's next opponent teased, WWE veteran retires?

Post-match, Ricky Starks runs to the entrance ramp and celebrates as CM Punk and Darby Allin look on from the ring.

CM Punk connects with the GTS on Christian Cage at the ringside area. Allin climbs up the top rope, but Luchasaurus causes a distraction. Ricky Starks steals another win by pinning Darby Allin with the help of the ropes.

Ricky Starks and Christian Cage win

A GTS attempt is blocked and Punk exchanges strikes with Starks. CM Punk drops Ricky Starks with a huge kick. After a back-and-forth, Starks connects with the Roshambo, but only gets a two-count.

Punk goes for a high-flying move, but Christian Cage rolls him up. Cage looks to do the same, but Punk drops him. He connects with an elbow drop and gets a two-count.

CM Punk is finally tagged in and he bodyslams both of his opponents. He then hits dropkicks and knees to the face. Punk takes down Cage and Starks with bulldog/clothesline combo. The Second City Saint gets a two-count with a clothesline on Cage.

Starks hits a backbreaker and tags Christian Cage back in. Captain Charisma goes up to the top rope, but misses the move. Starks pulls down Punk and Allin fails to make the tag.

The heels dominate Allin, but the latter gets in a two-count with a roll up. Christian Cage dumps Darby Allin out of the ring as the referee starts the 10-count.

Cage slams Allin on the announce table and Starks gets a two-count after hitting a running snake eyes/lariat combo move.

Punk makes the tag to Darby Allin and he comes with a flurry of offense. He hits a stunner on Cage and gets a two-count on Starks with a Code Red. Allin hits a dive to the outside on Starks and looks to do the same to Christian Cage, but Luchasaurus stops him.

CM Punk looks to make his comeback with a roll up, but Starks stops his momentum. The Absolute climbs up the ropes and hits a right hand strike.

Punk chases Starks and Cage takes advantage with a sliding dropkick on the outside.

Ricky Starks hits a kick and tags in Christian Cage. Punk hits a drop toehold on Cage and wears him down. Captain Charisma overpowers Punk and Starks get a cheap shot in behind the referee's back.

CM Punk hits a dive to the outside and Darby Allin follows up with a Coffin Drop. Punk whips Starks into the corner and tags in Allin.

Cage applies a sideheadlock on Punk and tags in Starks. CM Punk takes out both his opponents with a fakeout. Punk and Allin dump Starks and Cage out of the ring.

Christian Cage is tagged in and Punk dominates the former world champion. CM Punk and Darby Allin exchange quick tags and isolate Cage.

Neither Ricky Starks and Christian Cage want to enter the match. The referee reaches the reaches the 9-count before Starks enters the ring. Punk gets a roll up for a two-count.

We have the main event up next as Christian Cage and Ricky Starks take on CM Punk and Darby Allin.

Taya Valkyrie makes her comeback by placing Skye Blue on the ropes and hits a rope assisted German Suplex. She hit a Stomp in the middle of the ring to pick up the victory.

Post-match, Taya Valkyrie challenges Britt Baker to a first-time-ever match on AEW Dynamite.

Taya Valkyrie hits another knee drop for a two-count. Skye Blue gets some offense in, but Taya takes her down with a lariat. After a back-and-forth, Blue hits a crossbody from the top rope for a two-count.

Blue retaliates with some moves, but Taya hits a blue thunder bomb for a two-count. La Wera Local then follows up with some kicks and a double knee in the corner for a two-count.

Blue escapes and hits some vicious chops before getting taken down with a shoulder tackle. Skye Blue takes down Taya with an arm drag. The action spills to the outside and Taya Valkyrie takes Blue down at the ringside area.

Taya Valkyrie mocks Skye Blue and shoves her down on the mat. The former WWE star takes her down and unloads with kicks in the midsection.

We have a single match up next as Skye Blue takes on Taya Valkyrie.

Dax Harwood says he not a fan of MJF and Adam Cole's comedy skits before adding that there won't be any such moves next week.

Cash Wheeler says FTR have unfinished business with a lot of teams including Aussie Open, The Young Bucks and more. Wheeler adds MJF is not trustworthy and he has first-hand knowledge from being in a faction with the AEW World Champion, The Pinnacle.

We have a FTR segment up next on AEW Collision. Tony Schiavone calls FTR's match last week as one of the greatest in AEW. He then brings up Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler's title defense next week.

A frustrated Billy Gunn opens his boots and leaves it in the middle of the ring before walking to the backstage area. The Acclaimed visibly surprised by the move.

Black and Gunn are tagged in. The former DX member unloads with a flurry of offense, but Brody King flattens him. Malakai Black then quickly hits his finisher for the victory on Collision.

House of Black retain

Post-match, Black tells something to Billy Gunn.

Caster looks to make the tag, but fails to do so. He dumps King out of the ring, but fails to make the tag. Billy Gunn slams Brody King on the barricades.

Malakai Black gets a two-count after hitting a spinning elbow and gets a two-count. Brody King is tagged in and he unloads with chops. He then hits a senton and tags in Buddy Matthews.

House of Black vs. Acclaimed and Billy Gunn

Max Caster does his usual rap on the entrance ramp, but House of Black jump on the challenger early on. The champions get a two-count on Caster.

We have the AEW World Trios Championship match up next. House of Black take on The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn.

Miro makes his comeback with a powerslam and then follows up with the machka kick. He then quickly applies the Game Over for the victory.

Miro vs. Nick Comoroto

As Miro is making his entrance, Nick Comoroto attacks him from behind. The latter slams Miro on the barricades and steel steps and gets a two-count shortly after.

Miro is in action up next on AEW Collision.

Action Andretti goes up for a high-flying move, but Juice Robinson attacks him behind the referee's back and tags himself in. Juice hits the Right Hand from God followed by a pendulum DDT on Action Andretti. Jay White hits the Blade Runner for the victory.

Bullet Club Gold win

Post-match, Gunn Club lay down a beatdown on Darius Martin.

Martin gets a two-count after hitting a crossbody from the top rope. Action Andretti hits the Arabian Press on the heels on the outside. Andretti and Martin get a two-out with a shotgun dropkick/German suplex combination move.

Bullet Club Gold get in a few near falls on a weakened Action Andretti. The latter looks to make his comeback with an inside cradle, but Juice kicks out at 2. Darius Martin is tagged in and he comes in with a flurry of offense.

Juice drops Andretti with a neckbreaker at the ringside area. Jay White drives Darius Martin onto the barricades. Juice bodyslams Andretti infront of the commentary table before White slams him on the barricades a couple of times.

Action Andretti is tagged in and gets a two-count after hitting a corkscrew crossbody. Chaos ensues between both teams. However, the heels isolate Andretti to get the advantage.

Action Andretti and Darius Martin vs. Juice Robinson vs. Jay White

Jay White and Darius Martin square up in the early stages of the match. White overpowers his opponent and unloads with chops. Juice Robinson is tagged in and Martin hits a dropkick on him.

We have our first match of the night up next. Action Andretti and Darius Martin takes on Bullet Club Gold in tag team action.

We see a backstage footage from earlier in the day showing Andrade El Idolo entering the arena. However, he is asked to leave by security because of his heated feud with House of Black.

Allin then proposes a tag team match with him teaming up with CM Punk to take on Christian Cage and Ricky Starks.

Darby Allin runs down the ring and says he doesn't like the term Four Pillars anymore. He says anyone can be the pillar, inclduding CM Punk. Allin says he'll become the face of AEW by winning the TNT Championship at All Out.

Christian Cage and Luchasaurus walk out and takes shots at the crowd. He asks what kind of man keeps a title without winning it.

Punk asks Starks how does he feel knowing he can't defeat The Second City Saint without cheating. Ricky Starks then brings up Punk's bag before the two have heated war of words.

CM Punk comes out and says that he is not mad at Ricky Starks, but instead at himself. Punk stats he proud of Starks before adding he has cheated in the past.

Starks says how he won the Owen Hart tournament wouldn't matter 20 from now. Only the fact that he won would matter. He says he did what he had to do win.
