AEW Dynamite Live Results (March 20, 2024): Adam Copeland wins gold, WWE legend quits, New champion crowned, Mercedes Monè's first opponent revealed?

Killswitch and Nick Wayne are tied with handcuffs to the ropes. Adam Copeland brings out his mystery box and hits multiple low blows. Copeland hits Cage with Spike in the groin area. Cage still refuses to say I quit. Copeland goes for a big strike with Spike and Cage finally quits.

NEW TNT CHAMPION ADAM COPELAND

The Patriarchy outnumber Adam Copeland and Shayna Wayne slaps Copeland. Daddy Magic and Daniel Garcia even up the numbers. Copeland climbs up a ladder and takes Wayne and Killswitch out.

Cage brings out a barb wired steel and tries for the conchairto, but Copeland moves out. Adam Copeland retaliates and applies the cross face with a kendo stick. He then chokes Cage with a string.

Christian Cage chokes Adam Copeland with the hockey stick, but The Rated-R Superstar refuses to say I Quit.

Adam Copeland brings out a hockey goal post before things are back in the ringside area once again. Cage retreats, but Shayna Wayne comes in and low blows Copeland with a hockey stick. Cage gets in a shot with the hockey stick.

Copeland then throws Cage off the stage. Cage refuses to say I quit.

After some back-and-forth, both men take each other down. The two then battle on the entrance ramp and Adam Copeland has the upperhand. Copeland picks Cage up and slams him in one of the tunnels.

Inside the ring, Cage hits a face first onto the ladder on Copeland. However, he misses a frog splash and Copeland applies a crossface in the middle of the ring.

Copeland tries to spear Cage through a table, but Captain Chairman leapfrogs him and hits an eye poke. Cage climbs up the turnbuckle and connects with a crossbody through a table.

Inside the ring, Adam Copeland continues his offense with the ladder, but Christian Cage refuses to utter "I Quit". Copeland slams Cage on the steel ring post and brings out a table.

We are back in the ringside area and Adam Copeland has some sinister plans in mind with a ladder. Christian briefly gets some offense, but Copeland drops him on the ladder.

Copeland has the upperhand during this stage of the match. The Rated-R Superstar slams Cage on the steel posts before things reach the lobby area. Christian Cage runs to the women's washroom and Copeland brings him out.

Adam Copeland charges at Christian Cage, but the latter connects with right hands. Copeland looks for the spear, but Cage walks to the outside. Copeland hits a baseball slide before things break down between the two men.

Loud ovation for Adam Copeland. The crowd are singing Copeland's theme, but Christian Cage interrupts them.

Don Callis says Konosuke Takeshita has the same wins as Swerve Strickland before proposing a match. Swerve accepts and says he is coming after Joe next.

Samoa Joe comes out to the ramp. Joe says Swerve Strickland lost at Revolution. After some verbal exchange, Joe say he is going to give what Swerve wants. Joe almost enters the ring, but Don Callis interrupts him.

Post-match, Strickland cuts a promo on Samoa Joe. He says he wants to wrap the chain around Joe's neck, but the latter has a big neck. Strickland says he is going to kicks every security person Joe sends, until he gets what he wants.

The Butcher drops Swerve Strickland with a lariat, but the latter gets up. Swerve connects with the House Call and follows up with the Swerve Stomp. He then applies a submission to pick up his first submission win in AEW.

Swerve Strickland is dominating The Butcher early on and connects with a few uppercuts before celebrating in the ring. The Butcher targets Swerve's shoulder and hits a backbreaker. He chops Swerve, but the latter responds with some kicks.

The Butcher accepts Swerve's challenge. It is The Butcher's Dynamite debut in 2024.

Swerve Strickland is in action next.

Towards the end, Storm goes for the piledriver, but Rosa turns things around and gets the pinfall over Toni Storm.

Deonna Purrazzo and Thunder Rosa win

Mariah May headbutts Deonna Purrazzo, but Thunder Rosa takes her down. Toni Storm hits a German suplex on Rosa and follows up with a hip attack.

Rosa connects with a double crossbody and tags in Purrazzo. She unloads on May and knocks her down with a big boot for a two-count. Deonnna looks for the armbar, but Rosa tags herself in.

Toni Storm picks up Thunder Rosa and connects with a backbreaker before applying a submission move. She gets a two-count shortly after before tagging in Mariah May.

Rosa hits a sliding lariat in the middle of the ring for a two-count. The heels turn things around and May hits a spinning slam on Rosa before isolating her in their corner.

Donna Purrazzo and Thunder Rosa charge at Toni Storm and Mariah May early on. After some back-and-forth, Deonna and Thunder double team Storm in their corner.

Will Ospreay then brings up facing Katsuyori Shibata 7 years ago. Ospreay challenges Shibata to a match next week on Dynamite.

Ospreay heaps praise on Bryan Danielson and Katsuyori Shibata. Will Ospreay then brings up Danielson saying Ospreay cannot filll The Dragon's shoes. Ospreay says Danielson's shoes are too small for him and brings up his checkered past in Japan.

Tony Schiavone introduces Will Ospreay. Loud ovation for The Aerial Assassin. Ospreay says he is in AEW for the betterment of the company. He apologises for his last match against Kenny Omega, acting in a heelish manner.

Chris Jericho is in a backstage segment and he heaps praise on Hook despite hurting his back and almost hurting his pride. Jericho says Hook will be AEW world champion before saying he has a proposition for Hook next week.

Adam Cole says he is not saying this out of anger, but to make his Wardlow realises his potential.

Adam Cole cuts a promo and he is unhappy about Wardlow losing the AEW World Title match. Cole says "he" or rather Wardlow should have been world champion, but Mr. Mayhem messed up. Cole says Wardlow's role now is to ensure the other members of Undisputed Kingdom keep their gold.

Chris Jericho reverses and towards the end, Hook counters into an inside cradle to pick up a pinfall victory on Dynamite.

Jericho with a big boot on Hook and follows up with a lionsault for a two-count. The two stars are on the turnbuckles and Jericho unloads on Hook. But Hook has him locked in a sleeper hold.

Chris Jericho tries to turn things around and kicks Hook down. He hits a shoulder block and follows up with another shoulder tackle. Hook stops him with another T-Bone suplex.

Another German suplex and Hook is in total control of the match. Hook is dominating with multiple German suplexes.

The two stars have a brief scuffle before Hook drops Jericho on the mat once again. The Ocho stops Hook with chops, but the latter connects with a German suplex.

Hook drops Chris Jericho with a T-Bone suplex early on and he is struggling as the ref checks in on him.

Mercedes Monè appears and she and Statlander thank each other for saving each other in recent times. Monè is not impressed with Willow and walks away.

Willow Nigtingale, Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway are in a backstage segment. Willow and Kris say they will end their feud against Julia Hart and Skye Blue on Rampage.

Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana are in a backstage segment. Swerve says he has the AEW World Title firmly in his sights before putting forward an open challenge for tonight.

Post-match, The Young Bucks are happy backstage. PAC comes out to the ramp and confronts Kazuchika Okada.

Kingston's strap comes down and Okada uses the ref to get out. Eddie hits an enziguiri before Okada drops Kingston down. Towards the end, Kazuchika Okada connects with the Rainmaker to become the new champion.

KAZUCHIKA OKADA BECOMES NEW CONTINENTAL CHAMPION

Eddie Kingston connects with more chops before Kazuchika Okada drops the champion with a Rainmaker, which Eddie blocks.

Okada scoops slams Eddie on the mat and looks for an elbow drop, but Kingston recovers and connects with an uraken. ONLY A TWO-COUNT.
