MJF throws the chip aside and leaves the ring. He takes a mic and says he will earn his title shot this time. It looks like Regal's words got to MJF. MJF vs Moxley is set for AEW Full Gear. Moxley responds that MJF can earnn the heel of his boot in his mouth and suchlike.

MJF has Bryce Remsburg with him and has come down to the ring. Will we see MJF vs Mox right now?

Jon Moxley has the mic. He says he hopes Hangman Page will recover and be back to 100% soon. He adds that wrestling is a dangerous game and you always have to be on the edge in this business. Mox then calls out MJF for his comments earlier on in the night. The champ invites MJF to come down to the ring right now.

This is a serious situation. The medical staff are still trying to get Hangman out of the ring.

More medical attention to Hangman Page. A gurney is coming down to the ring. The lariat really seems to have done some real damage. Let's hope that Hangman Page is okay and this injury is nothing serious.

The champion goes for a German Suplex but Hangman lands on his feet. Moxley wipes out Page with a King Kong Lariat as the doctor comes in to check on Hangman. The match is called off by the referee after the physician stepped in to stop it! The match is over!

Hangman and Mox trade strikes on the top rope. Page grabs the champion and hits a Fallaway Slam from the top rope for a 2-count.

Jon Moxley goes for a piledriver on the apron but can't hit it. Hangman Page reverses it and hits the champion with a Deadeye on the apron. Moxley crumples to the floor as we cut to a commercial break.

Jon Moxley with a cutter out of nowhere. That one stuns Hangman Page who's reeling in the corner. Moxley charges in and hits a lariat, followed by multiple right hands. Moxley then bites Hangman Page in the head.

Back in the ring, Moxley wrenches in a Figure 4 Leglock. Hangman throws right hands at the champion, forcing him to break the hold. Moxley's face is red with his own blood as Hangman Page lays in the chops. Regal is concerned on commentary. Moxley urges Page to give him his best shot. The champ then hits back with vicious right hands but his comeback is cut off.

Moxley looks to be in a tough spot already and is bleeding quite a bit. Hangman sends Moxley crashing into the steel steps. Mox looks wobbly and is definitely in a spot of bother.

Moxley hits back with vicious right hands to the head of the challenger. He continues to punch Page in the head before leaping off the barricade and wiping him out. The match is back to the ringside area. Page takes back control and Moxley is busted open already.

Jon Moxley (C) vs Hangman Page [for the AEW World Championship]

Moxley and Page start brawling in the crowd. The bell hasn't sounded yet. Moxley is down as Hangman hits a massive moonsault and wipes out the champion.

Jade Cargill is backstage with The Baddies. Jade Cargill sends a message to Tony Khan. She says either Nyla Rose brings her belt back or she will hijack AEW Rampage for a full hour on Friday night.

Chris Jericho takes the mic after the match and say he would get rid of all traces of ROH including commentators. JAS go after Ian Ian Riccaboni and WWE veteran Jerry Lynn comes out to try and stop him.. Jericho stops him in his tracks and lays him out with a Tombstone!

Chris Jericho, out of nowhere, hits the Judas Effect and that puts away Dalton Castle. A big win for Jericho in his first title defense.

Dalton Castle hits the Bangarang but Jericho somehow manages to kick out. That move helped Castle win his only ROH World Championship.

Dalton Castle hits back with a clothesline for a 2-count. Both men trade strikes and chops in the middle of the ring. Jericho goes for a Lionsault but Castle catches him early and hits a German Suplex.

Hager is busy with the four 'boys' as Castle locks in a sleeper hold on Jericho in the middle of the ring. Jericho breaks the grip with an elbow strike and locks in the Walls of Jericho.

Dalton Castle goes for a running knee to the corner but crashes out of the ring. He hits back with a boot, this time sending Jericho out of the ring. The duo brawl at ringside as Castle hits a hurricanrana. Jake Hager tries to get involved but the boys swarm him.

Chris Jericho takes control of the match as he lays in shots in the corner. Castle is on the top rope and Jericho joins him on the turnbuckle. Castle sends Jericho face-first into the mat and goes for a double axe-handle. Jericho catches him with a dropkick and takes back control of the match.

Castle gets back in the ring and takes down Jericho repeatedly before a gutwrench suplex. Castle then boots Jake Hager in the face before tossing one of the boys at him followed by a second.

Chris Jericho offers a handshake to Dalton Castle who reaches into his tights and shows him the middle finger. Castle takes jericho down early but is sent crashing out of the ring where the boys fan him.

Chris Jericho will defend the ROH World Champion against Dalton Castle next. Castle is a former ROH World Champion himself.

The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn are backstage with Renee Paquette. The Acclaimed says that they will face Mark Sterling's boys next week in a title vs trademark match and promise to go back to scissoring as soon as they win the match.

William Regal turns around and implores MJF to show the world what kind of villain he really is. MJF takes out his ring but can't go through with it. Regal turns around and says MJF still has a lot to prove.

That was a very interesting segment and it will be interesting to see where this story goes from here. MJF genuinely looks conflicted inside the ring.

William Regal admonished MJF for putting his hands on Tony Schiavone. He then says he always knew MJF had it in him to be a star but added that he had gotten here by taking shortcuts. Regal added that how much money MJF made was not of consequence to him. Regal told MJF that if he wanted to be the devil, he should do it right.

William Regal recalled his own story in pro wrestling, wrestling since the time he was 16. Regal then said if his email was all it took for MJF to get here today, he's had it easy.

MJF added that William Regal was now the person who got sacked by WWE while he himself was a generational talent and on the top of pro wrestling. He says that now he read Regal's email when he needed a good laugh. MJF said Regal was now a joke while he would soon be AEW World Champion.

MJF also shared the message Regal went on to share with him a few months after his tryout, a message of rejection that still haunted him. MJF accused Regal of squandering his dream, saying that Regal's email had made him want to quit professional wrestling.

According to MJF, when Regal found out he was 19, he said he was much too young and in that moment MJF's heart stopped. Regal said that he had vouched for the likes of Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley in WWE and added that he wanted MJF to send him a tape every month and keep improving so Regal could review his progress.

MJF pointed out how the likes of Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko, Adam Pearce and Regal himself were watching on that day. MJF said he was shaking like a leaf that night because he was fighting for his life, because professional wrestling was his life. MJF said that Regal pulled him away from that ring to a room in the back where MJF had three minutes to sell himself. Regal apparently told MJF that he would get him a job, something that never materialized, even though on that day, MJF thought he was about to be a Superstar.

William Regal is in the ring with Tony Schiavone when MJF's music hits. MJF interrupts the WWE legend and walks down to the ring. MJF tells the people the story of when he was training to be a pro wrestler and his experience as an extra in WWE. MJF said it was Regal that spoke to him and the other guys that night and how he had everyone face a random opponent for a tryout match.
