AEW Dynamite Live Results (October 18, 2023): Sting's retirement date confirmed, Former WWE star returns, backstage brawl

Juice Robinson strikes Caster with a ring and dumps him out of the ring for the win.

Juice Robinson wins

Max Caster hits the Mic Drop. Jay White comes in and attacks MF. The Devil retaliates and lays down White. He regains the AEW World Title. White low blows MJF.

Robinson is on the apron and Caster is hanging on the ropes. The two stars battle on the apron. Juice climbs up the turnbuckle, but Caster drops him in the ring.

Daniel Garcia eliminates Dustin Rhodes and Matt Menard. Juice Robinson throws Garcia out of the ring. Max Caster and Robinson are the final two men.

Daniel Garcia eliminates Jeff Hardy. Matt Menard once again stops Garcia from dancing.

Trent eliminates Hager from the apron. Menard and Beretta battle on the apron. Menard eliminates Trent Beretta.

Matt Menard stops Daniel Garcia from dancing. The former JAS eliminate Komander. Dustin Rhodes hits a Canadian Destroyer in the middle of the ring.

Trent Beretta and Daniel Garcia clash in the middle of the ring. MJF wants Max Caster out of the ring.

MJF rushes down to the ring and whispers something to Dustin Rhodes. The Natural targets Juice Robinson.

Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale

All the stars brawl in the ring to start off. Johnny TV is almost eliminated. The Hardys work in tandem and battle Jake Hager. Hager and Matt Menard eliminate Matt Hardy.

RVD's return also announced for next week.

Best Friends and Kris Statlander are in a backstage segment. Statlander will defend her title against Willow at the Battle of the Belts. OC will face the winner of John Silver, Brother Zay, and Kip Sabian.

Allin lays down a beatdown on Wayne before Christian and Luchasaurus come in to save him. Nick Wayne has a broken tooth. Sting comes in and the babyfaces chases the heels away.

Nick Wayne leaves his mother and joins hands with Christian Cage. They leave, but Darby Allin attack Christian and Wayne.

We see a vignette where Toni Storm slaps RJ City during her movie premiere.

Sting says his retirement in 2015 didn't sit well with him. The WWE Hall of Famer recalls his first match at Revolution 2021. Sting says his last match will be at Revolution 2024.

Sting recalls their monumental clashes in 1988 and 1990 and thanks Ric Flair. The Icon says he understands all the legends hung around for a long time.

Sting is out to address the fans. He reflects on his career with the likes of Lex Luger, Scott Steiner, Buff Bagwell, and more. Sting praises Dusty Rhodes and says Hulk Hogan transcended wrestling.

We see Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana hyping up Strickland's music video. Swerve says he is not excited because he is not the TNT Champion. He says Hangman Page cost him and threatens The Cowboy.

Lance Archer vs. Enhancement talent

Lance Archer beats down an enhancement talent on the ramp. Archer quickly picks up a squash win on AEW return.

We see a vignette teasing Danhausen's return.

After a back-and-forth, Kenny Omega connects with the One-Winged Angel for the win over Kyle Fletcher.

Kenny Omega makes his comeback with a knee strike to the back of the neck and follows up with a reverse hurricanrana. Omega hits a knee strike to the face, but only gets a two-count.

Fletcher hits a half-and-half suplex and gets a two-count after a brainbuster. Kyle Fletcher gets another nearfall with a Michinoku driver after a snake eyes.

Kenny Omega makes his comeback with some hammer strikes and he wipes out Kyle Fletcher from the middle turnbuckle. Omega hits a dropkick to the lower back and gets a two-count.

The two stars battle at the ringside area. Kyle Fletcher sends Kenny Omega over the barricades once again. Inside the ring, Fletcher hits a chop and scoop slams Omega.

After a back-and-forth, Fletcher dropkicks Omega and sends him crashing on the outside. He sends The Cleaner over the barricades.

Kyle Fletcher with the early advantage in the match. Kenny Omega comes back with strikes and chops.

Callis says if Fletcher defeats Omega tonight then they might have something to discuss next week.

Callis adds Kyle Fletcher failed to get the job done in the six-man match and says Fletcher screwed the Don Callis Family. Fletcher comes out and vows to defeat Kenny Omega.

Hobbs says he loved hitting spinebuster after spinebuster on The Ocho. Don Callis hypes up his faction and vows to destroy the AEW locker room. Loud STFU chants from the crowd.

Don Callis Family are out for an interview with Tony Schiavone. Callis recalls Powerhouse Hobbs squashing Chris Jerircho. Hobbs says he has had frustration against Jericho for 25 years.

Adam Cole is in Roderick Strong's house along with The Kingdom. Strong tells Cole makes the best PBJ. Strong doesn't like Cole's sandwich and The Panama City Playboy leaves.

Kenny Omega is in a backstage segment and he says he'll beat Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis Family soon after. Omega teases going after the world title and MJF comes in. He reminds Omega about being the longest reigning AEW World Champion in 13 days.

Post-match, Tony Schiavone asks Wardlow his reasons for returning and he shows the MJF on his wrist and shoves Schiavone.

Wardlow vs. Ryan Nemeth

Ryan Nemeth gets a few strikes early on before Wardlow hits a powerbomb and the referee calls for the bell.

Copeland predicts Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus will betray Christian and Copeland will help him then.

Copeland doesn't understand why he and Captain Charisma are at loggerheads. Adam Copeland says he is not interested in the TNT Title and Christian Cage will fall back to the ground.

Copeland then recalls his relationship with Cage. The Rated-R Superstar says he always believed in Christian Cage. Adam Copeland says possible jealousy has clouded Cage's judgement.

Adam Copeland is in a sitdown interview with Renee Paquette and says he is confused with Christian Cage's actions. Copeland says he joined AEW to end his career with Cage and the latter was fine with it earlier.

After a back-and-forth, Shida connects with a falcon arrow for a two-count. Hikaru Shida then hit the Katana for the win on Emi Sakura.

Hikaru Shida retaliates with a hurricanrana and she follows up with a missile dropkick in the corner. The two stars exchange nearfalls before Sakura hits a Tiger Driver for a two-count.

Sakura gets a few more nearfalls before both stars take each other down. Shida is on the apron and Sakura sends her to the floor with a crossbody.

Sakura tosses Shida in the corner and follows up with a boot. The AEW Women's World Champion hits back, but Emi Sakura plants her with a backbreaker in the middle of the ring.

Hikaru Shida takes down Sakura with a knee strike and gets a two-count shortly after. After a back-and-forth, Sakura hits a dropkick to the face.

MJF almost provides an update on Adam Cole, but The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn confront him. They want to be MJF's partners against BBG. Caster even teases entering the battle royale.

MJF appears is in a backstage segment. He says he could have rushed out to the ring and got beaten down. MJF adds he is not dumb. The Devil then puts White and Juice on notice.
