AEW Dynamite Results, live recap, grades: BOBBY LASHLEY IS ALL ELITE! The Young Bucks leave AEW! The Hurt Business is back, major title change, huge matches announced

Bobby and Swerve go face-to-face and Shelton creates a distraction. From there, Lashley jumps Swerve. He and Shelton beat him down while MVP lays out Nana. You can loudly hear a referee tell them they have 90 seconds.

Lashley puts The Hurt Lock onto Swerve. Lashley and Benjamin lay out security. MVP grabs a microphone and shouts "guess who's back in business?!"

The lights briefly go out then come back on then go out again and.. Bobby Lashley is here! BOBBY LASHLEY IS ALL ELITE!

Shelton runs up the ropes, but he gets powerbombed. From there, Swerve hits the Swerve Stomp and pins Benjamin for the win!

Post-match, MVP takes a phone out and makes a call.

Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin vs. The BCC is also confirmed for next week. Commentary ignores the match for most of the card run down, but eventually Shelton hits a guillotine DDT on Swerve for a near fall. Both guys attempt a superkick, but kick each other's feet. Swerve hits the House Call then a 450 Splash and Shelton kicks out at two.

Shelton immediately hits a German Suplex and a running knee. Swerve no sells it and hits a rolling attack as both men lay down.

Back from the break and Shelton Benjamin remains in control. He throws Swerve again. Swerve starts to fight back, temporarily locking in a single leg crab then later hitting a huge kick off of the ropes. On commentary, Thunder Rosa vs. Harley Cameron will be in a Day Of The Dead Match on Collision.

Additionally, Adam Cole vs. Malakai Black is confirmed for next week!

Swerve goes for a kick on the apron, but Shelton catches his foot and drops him on the apron. He throws him into the barricade then back into the ring where he hits a huge suplex. Swerve tries to fight back, but is nailed with a knee.

From there, we go to presumably the final commercial of the episode.

Shelton and Swerve lock up and it turns into Swerve throwing forearms. Shelton outwrestles Swerve at first, using his power advantage. Eventually, Shelton suplexes Swerve to the floor. He goes to drive Strickland into the ringpost, but Swerve gets out of it and locks Shelton's arm into a hold against the ring post. The damage is done, though.

Next up, Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana come out. MVP then comes out with Shelton Benjamin.

This is the main event, with both being former WWE stars.

After they leave, The Blackpool Combat Club show up. They attack Brandon Cutler's arm with a hammer and make Daniels watch.

Mark Briscoe cuts a promo with Renee. He snaps about Jericho bringing Jay Briscoe up again. He challenges The Learning Tree to a Fight Without Honor with Kyle O'Reilly and Ishii as his partners.

We then see The Young Bucks running out of the building. Christopher Daniels shows up and yells at them saying they need them, I guess because of the BCC though it isn't said. The Young Bucks say they'll work from home.

Next, we get a recap of the Hook-Christian Cage story. From there, we go to The Patriarchy backstage. Christian asks Hook to meet them in the ring next week, noting there is a misunderstanding.

Post-match, Mercedes attacks Kris and tells Kamille to get to the back, yelling at her. She then mocks Kris and says if you want something done, do it yourself.

Back from break and Kris hits a big slam on Kamille. Kamille attempts a pump kick, but Kris ducks and nails her with an F-5 for a two count. Kris goes for a 450, but Kamille moves and hits a leg lariat for a two count. Kamille hits a torture rack powerbomb for another two count. Kamille attempts a tombstone, but Kris counters and hits her own and this one is over.

Kris Statlander defeats Kamille by pinfall

That felt like an unnecessary loss for Kamille.

From there, Mercedes Mone comes out alongside Kamille. Kris Statlander then comes out.

This is being billed as AEW's two strongest female competitors going at it. Kris nails Kamille with a shoulder tackle and gets one of her own, falling to the mat. Statlander quickly gets to her feet, but Kamille levels Kris as we go to break.

Next up, an Anna Jay video package airs. She talks about her match with Mariah May and May makes it clear Anna isn't ready. From there, we get Jungle Boy who has a confrontation with Daniel Garcia. Daniel pushes Jack up against the wall and storms off. Perry comes back to the Young Bucks locker room and they're packing up and shredding documents.

After the break, Chris Jericho and The Learning Tree are on the stage talking. Jericho brings up Dave Meltzer giving his Ladder War match four stars and talks about how he's a nine-time champion. He "accidentally" insults the crowd. He says he will bring ROH to the biggest stage and biggest success it has seen.

Jericho again says he'll bring it to new heights it has never seen before.

Next up, we get a video package highlighting Swerve Strickland vs. Shelton Benjamin with MVP and Prince Nana talking. MVP hints Swerve made the wrong choice and Nana says he made the right choice.

Jon Moxley vs. Orange Cassidy has officially been announced for Full Gear!

Backstage, Penelope Ford and Jamie Hayter have a promo. Penelope says everybody has overlooked her and blames Jamie. Jamie threatens her ahead of next week.

Post-match, The Young Bucks have the belts and walk into the ring. They give respect to the champions and give the new titleholders the belts before walking out. Did The Young Bucks just turn babyface?

Isaiah counters another move, but he's finally hit by the EVP Trigger. One.. two.. NO! Isaiah kicks out! The Bucks hit Kenny Omega's finisher, but Marq shows back up and breaks the count! Isaiah hits a poison rana! They then hit their rana-cutter combination and WIN!

New champions!

The Undertaker reference via the tombstone was fun to see on a Halloween special.

Back in the ring, the Bucks have hit a few double team moves, but Isaiah won't stay down. They go for the EVP Trigger, but isaiah moves and rolls up Nick for a nearfall!

Matt Jackson starts biting Isaiah's head. Nick tags in and they hit a moonsault/splash combination. Private Party fight back and hit big dives, but The Young Bucks regain control and hit a doomsday kick on the floor! The Young Bucks drag Marq up the ramp and go back to the ring. With the referee distracted, Okada hits a Tombstone to Marq on the entrance.

Back from break and Marq gets the tag! A bloody Isaiah rushes in and levels both members of The Young Bucks. Marq attacks Nick and all four men are in the ring. Daddy Magic says Rick Knox needs to get control, good luck on that one.

Private Party hit duel 450s but it isn't enough. The Bucks pick up the pace and hit an assisted Sliced Bread and then a double stomp, but they couldn't pick up the win.

In the ring, Nick is beating down Marq. Outside of the ring, Isaiah is a bloody mess and Matt slams him into the steps. Back in the ring, The Young Bucks attempt a double team move, but it backfires and Matt hits Nick by mistake. They manage to recover, however, and hit dueling suplexes onto the floor and from the top!

Isaiah hits a huge dive and Private Party brawl with the Bucks around ringside. Matt Jackson tries to use a ring bell, but it backfires and Marq takes it. He then swings it at Matt, but Jackson ducks and Marq nails Isaiah! Wow!

From there, The Young Bucks attack Marq and take control.

This tag match is starting now. This is titles vs. career, as if Private Party lose, they must break up.

This is big. Isaiah Cassidy starts things off. The Bucks quickly get the advantage, but Marq tags in and they end up taking the Bucks out to the floor!

While Darby fights, Private Party, Daniel Garcia, and Top Flight run out and fight off The B.C.C. The Young Bucks' music then plays as they make their way out once The Blackpool Combat Club leave.

Is the big tag team match starting next?

Yuta smashes a chair over Evil Uno and they try to break his neck but Darby comes down from the rafters. The table prematurely breaks whole he brawls with Claudio. That was an unfortunate botch.

Out of nowhere, Jon has PAC and Marina hold down Wheeler Yuta while Claudio grabs a chair and puts it around his head. Orange Cassidy shows up to help him, but it leads to Wheeler attacking Orange for some reason. Commentary says Moxley was willing to sacrifice Wheeler.

Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver come out to try to fight off The BCC but it doesn't work.

Jon brings up Orange Cassidy's promo earlier. He says O.C. thinks he challenged Moxley for the title, but Jon says no, he's the one who challenged Orange. He said taking out Chuck Taylor was his way of getting Cassidy to step up. Jon says if he wants him any time, its fine. Moxley tells Orange he better be ready to die because he's ready to die "in this valley".

Back from break and the Blackpool Combat Club come out through the crowd. PAC always being in his gear makes no sense, but it is funny.

Renee is in the back with Adam Page. He mentions Jay White having been injured and says coming back for him was a mistake. He talks about what his strategy will be, bringing up a chair or strangulation as options. They will be fighting in less than a month.

From there, The Blackpool Combat Club are shown walking down the hallway as we go to break.

Mark brings up the United Empire and says Kyle destroyed it. He then walked away frustrated. Kyle says before Mark goes, there is going to come a day where he needs to make a hard decision. Kyle says he has proven before he has no problem cutting the past loose. That's a threat.

Next up, Don Callis comes out with Kyle Fletcher, but Kyle was unrecognizable without his hair. I'm not sure if it is a positive. Kyle gets the mic and says he's a man of his word and here's Will Ospreay, but Will doesn't come out. He says it proves what he says about will, but then Mark Davis of Aussie Open shows up.

Kyle says it isn't the guy he was expected and goes in for a hug, but Mark stops him. Mark says Will is out because of what Kyle did. Kyle says will probably forgot all about Mark, but Kyle didn't He says he made sure Davis always has a spot with the family.

Backstage, Adam Cole is being seen by a doctor with the Undisputed Kingdom. He mentions Malakai being his next challenger and then addresses MJF. Cole tells Max to stop pretending he wasn't turning on him the first chance he got. He brought up Wardlow, Garcia, and Sammy who suffered similar fates.

Adam Cole says he's been teaching him a hard lesson and it had to happen because he cares about AEW. None of these explanations make sense and they keep trying to force it.

Backstage, Renee is with Christopher Daniels and Private Party. He mentions being in a similar position where his team had to end. Private Party says they're good and they're leaving tonight as champions.

From there, we go to break.

Post-match, Adam takes the microphone and says Buddy reminded him who the real Adam Cole is and he thanks him. The two then shake hands when suddenly the lights go out. They come back on and Malakai Black is shown shaking Adam's hand. Excalibur questions if this will be Adam's next test.

Adam tries fighting back, but Buddy nails him with a stomp. Cole is selling and teases throwing in the towel, but throws it at Buddy instead and hits a flurry of kicks. Buddy fights back and hits another stomp, but Cole no sells it and fires right back up. He nails a Panama Sunrise in the ring and then another on the floor. He then hits The Boom to win.

Cole is walked out towards the exit, but Buddy grabs a microphone and calls him a little "b-word", but uncensored. An angry Cole comes back to the ring and they trade punches. Buddy again stomps at Adam's ankle.

Back from break and Cole recovers from a huge superplex and proceeds to hit a suplex on his knee to Buddy. This is followed by Adam nailing a DDT on the apron.

Things get heated between them back in the ring. Buddy snaps and drags Cole to the corner and sticks his leg out onto the steel steps. He then repeatedly stomps on Cole's ankle! Medical rushes out to check on Adam as Buddy gets back in the ring. The crowd are counting Cole out, but the referee is ignoring it. They get to ten and boo.

This one starts out quite slow, with Cole trying to hit repeated shoulder tackles on Adam Cole. This leads to a headlock takeover and a feinted superkick attempt. They go back and forth, and Adam Cole leaves the ring. He is testing out his ankle a lot. Could he still be hurt? Could he have re-aggravated the injury?
Out of nowhere, Buddy nails a running kick on the apron as we go to break.

Two former WWE champions in action. This is Cole's return after 14 months.

Daddy Magic is joining Excalibur and Tony Schiavone due to Taz's surgery.

Backstage, Mercedes Mone is with Kamille. Renee asks what her predictions are for tonight when Kamille and Kris Statlander clash. Mercedes hates dumb questions and talks down to Renee.

Orange says they need AEW and so does he, but Moxley doesn't. He says there won't be an AEW if Moxley does what he wants. Orange says to stop this he needs to cut off the head of the snake. He then challenges Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship.

Cassidy tells Jon to let him know and that he's not hard to find. He's where he always is because he's Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy and he's the NXT AEW World Champion. He says he still doesn't need a catchphrase and walks out.

AEW Dynamite begins with a "spooky" recap of tonight's card. Another Blackpool Combat Club vignette starts to air, but Orange Cassidy tells them to turn it off. He gets into the ring as the fans chant "Freshly Squeezed". He says this isn't what he does, he doesn't like coming out and talking. But he watched Chuck Taylor get his neck crushed by a steel chair.

Orange says he was surrounded by people he shouldn't have been. Young stars and the future of AEW.
