It was a well scripted victory for the hosts, as they run away comfortable winners with the score line reading 2-0. Ali Fasir gave NRSC the lead in the first half and then skipper Ashfaq Ali cushioned the lead with a calm finish early in the second half.

As for Albert Roca's men, they looked extremely vulnerable in the defence and the attack lacked sting. Sunil Chhetri was crowded out for most parts of this second half, as the Blues failed to overturn the deficit.

It has been a well contested first half with both teams coming up with chances in regular intervals. Bengalur dominated possession the first half but looked lacklustre in the final third. The hosts on the other hand were looking more threatening on the attack. Fasir's strike at the half hour mark means the Blues are a goal down in Maldives.

Bengaluru will need to find the rhtym in their attack if they have to overturn the fixture.
