Neeraj Chopra won the men's javelin GOLD,
Neena Varakil won the women's long jump SILVER,
Dharun Ayyasamy won the men's 400m hurdles SILVER,
Sudha Singh won the women's 3000m Steeplechase SILVER

All the qualifiers have now been placed and guess what? India's Jinson Johnson TOPS THE FIELD!!!!!

Both the Indians in action, get through to the final -- Jinson Johnson and Manjit Singh

And Manjit Singh has got direct qualification to the final with 1:48.64

AND THE WOMEN'S LONG JUMP HAS FINISHED!

INDIA'S NEENA VARAKIL GETS THE SILVER MEDAL!

In men's high jump, India's Chethan Balasubramanya could not cross 2.24m twice and has dropped to the FIFTH SPOT.

And from that, Neeraj has rebounded with a huge throw of 86.36m in his fifth attempt!

Meanwhile, Neeraj's FOURTH ATTEMPT IS HIS WORST OF THE DAY SO FAR!

He has thrown the javelin to a distance of 83.25m only in his fourth attempt.

But he is still comfortably ahead of the pack and looks good for the GOLD!

Meanwhile, the Men's 3000m steeplechase event has just finished and India's Swami Shankar Lal has finished EIGHTH out of 14 competitors!

In Women's Long Jump, Neena has jumped to 6.46m in her fifth attempt. That is lower than her previous one.

But the good thing is that she is still in the SECOND POSITION AND IS LOOKING GOOD FOR THE SILVER!
