After a good first half from both sides, it was the home side that demolished Arsenal within twenty minutes of half time with three goals, before Thomas Muller put the final nail in the coffin. I said it once and I will say it again, it will take something beyond a miracle to save the Arsenal team and as of right now, Bayern Munich looks to be home free, as the next round waits for their arrival.

90+1' The game is done and the Arsenal players know it. They stand around as Bayern pass the ball about and the crowd cheers unforgivingly as dejected away fans look on.

89' This has been a poor display...sorry. This has been a poor second half display from the Gunners and they will need something above and beyond a miracle to qualify for the next round. Five goals against Bayern Munich at the Emirates should do the trick..

87' Robben comes off as Ancelotti's final substitution and Rafinha walks on to add some much added steel at the back!!

85' Lewandowski comes off for Thomas Muller to a standing ovation from the Allianz Arena!! The Polish striker has been brilliant in the second half, with an assist and a goal!

85' Corner for Arsenal and Ozil's delivery is straight to Giroud who's header is off a Bayern player.

84' Kimmich comes on for Douglas Costa who looks absolutely knackered. The German midfielder is a dangerous player though!!

83' A booking for the Bayern captain as he cuts down Oxlade-Chamberlain and that means he won't be playing the second leg at the Emirates!

83' Another brilliant save from the Colombian, as he tips away a brilliant curling shot from Douglas Coast and its out for another corner!

80' Less than 10 minutes till the end and Arsenal have been on the receiving end of more than half the shots on goal!! Another one from Robben but Ospina makes a brilliant save and it's out for a corner. It's taken but only reaches Walcott who's clearance is bad!!

78' That's the third time the Polish striker has collided with an Arsenal defender in this half and this time it's Gabriel but the ref walks over and asks him to get up!

77' Giroud has been the Gunner's super sub with multiple late goals to save his team. But the question is can he do it now, as Bayern attack relentlessly!!

76' Francis Coquelin comes off for Oliver Giroud as Wenger makes his final change of the game!

75' The Allianz Arena is absolutely bouncing at the moment as the Bayern fans are loving what is happening so far!!

74' A tumble in the box between both Mustafi and Lewandowski, and the Polish striker seems to have taken the brunt of it as he struggles to get up. A brillant tackle by the German center back!!

73' Bayern sitting back and defending as they allow Arsenal to pass the ball around for some time. They need to make sure that they don't make any mistakes what so ever, as even 4-1 down, this Arsenal side will pounce and attack!!

70' Time ticks on for the Gunners and they will need another goal to boost this team. They look down-right exhausted and who can blame them? They have, however, never beaten Bayern Munich by more than a 2-0 scoreline and it will definitely take something magical to change that!!

62' Back to back action and its all in the Arsenal box!! Brilliant save from David Ospina after a brilliant header by Martinez!!

61' CHANCE!!! The Gunners are all over the place at the moment. Lewandowski is running riot in the box as he outsmarts Ospina twice before his shot hits the bar!! Robben is lurking nearby however and his shot is blocked for a corner and what looked like a hand ball!!

60' Yellow card for Granit Xhaka as the Swiss international goes into the book.

58' The Gunners look all over the place ever since their leader and captain walked off the pitch with what looked like a shoulder injury. They need to collect themselves and somehow inspire a comeback!!

56' While Thiago certainly deserves credit for his work in scoring the goal, the credit goes to Robert Lewandowski who has been brilliant in this second half!!

56' GOOOOOOALLLLLL!!! A BRILLANT BALL IN FROM ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI AND THIAGO MAKES NO MISTAKE AS HE SLOTS IT PAST DAVID OSPINA FOR THE THIRD GOAL!!

54' A brilliant counter by the Bavarians with Arjen Robben who lays it off for Lewandowski, who cannot find a clear shot on target.

53' GOALLLLLL!!! A MOMENT OF HESITATION BY ARSENAL'S KEEPER AS ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI DOES BRILLIANTLY TO MEET LAHM'S PIN POINT CROSS AND HEADS IT STRAIGHT INTO THE GOAL!!

51' Bayern on the counter with Philip Lahm, but no Lewandowski in the box to put the cross through so the German plays the ball through to Robben.

51' Ospina getting booed by the home crowd, who feel that the Colombian was faking the entire collision with Douglas Costa!!

48' Koscielny departs after his clearance, which seems to have done some damage to him and Gabriel steps in. This is a big blow for the Gunners as both Mustafi and Koscielny have clicked very well in that Arsenal back line!!

47' A brilliant athletic clearance by Koscielny as a brilliant long ball is cleared by the Frenchman. The ball only veers off to one side and Ospina charges out to clear and collides with Costa!!

46' Foul on Coquelin by the veteran Alonso, who was rather late in his challenge.

45' Should be a cracking second half!!

45' The teams are out and ready for the second half. The score is at 1-1, as the home side kick-off.

It was, however, a half dominated by the Bavarians with nearly 80% possession as the Gunners looked to sit back and play on the counter-attack, which they did well as towards the end of the first half.
Ozil, who has been brilliant defensively for most of the game so far, came up with two good chances just before half-time. Stats show that the no Arsenal player had more tackles than the German playmaker in the first half!!!

The Gunners got a goal back, as the referee pointed to the spot after a foul on Laurent Koscielny by Robert Lewandowski. A controversial penalty decision but Alexis Sanchez stepped up for the penalty and his shot was saved by Manuel Neuer before the Chilean calmly collected the rebound and smacked it past the German keeper!!

Arjen Robben opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a brilliant piece of dribbling past the hapless Arsenal defense before whipping quite a stunning shot right into the top left corner!! Ospina had no chance and was further tormented by the Bayern attack but he had that covered.

Half-time and the teams go in level at the break.

45' Sanchez through to Ozil, who shoots but his former schoolmate makes a brilliant save to keep the score 1-1!!

44' Free-kick master Xabi Alonso takes a good kick into the Arsenal box but Hummels shot is just off target!! Ospina had his near post covered though!!

43' One-two-one passing by Costa and Alaba, before the defender crosses it in for his striker. The cross is inch perfect to Lewandowski's head who just can't guide his shot on target!!

41' Half time approaches and Arsenal have finally shown themselves in a very important game for them. It has been all Bayern Munich's game so far but the Arsenal side have had their moments of brilliance!!
