The 22 year old Amit will be taking on Ghana's Tetteh Sulemanu. The 49-kg boxer Amit will be looking for a podium finish. He is young blood and will leave no stone unturned in order to qualify to the next round.

Amit has also faced Olympic champion Hasanboy Dusmatov of Uzbekistan in the World Championships which concluded in 2017. Amit started boxing at a tender age of 13. He has a modest background coming from a farmer family in Rohtak. He is also an Asian bronze medalist.
