00:43 (IST)7 APR 2018

Good morning and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of Commonwealth Games 2018 table tennis. The sport is being played at Oxenford Studios. India face Malaysia on Table No. 1 for a place in the semi-finals.

The Indian paddlers have so far been in scintillating form at this tournament. They have thumped both Trinidad & Tobago and Northern Ireland by an identical score of 3-0. Former CWG gold medallist Achanta Sharath Kamal and the India No. 1 Sathiyan Gnanasekaran have both led from the front. Sathiyan, particularly, has been very impressive and played in both the matches.

Malaysia, on the other hand, had contrasting fortunes in the group stages and won one tie, losing the other. In the Round of 16, they dropped one match to beat Scotland 3-1.

Going by current form, India should win this, although Malaysia can make it tough.

Stay tuned for live updates.
