Day 3 of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 draws to a close and it has been a rather successful day for India. Earlier on the day, India has already added a Gold medal to their tally with Sathish Sivalingam claiming victory in weightlifting. India's Table Tennis Women's team has also made it through to the next round, beating Malaysia 3-0 overall. They are now one victory away from a medal.
Indian swimmers have never been favorites however Indian Sajan Prakash has made India proud by qualifying to the final of the Men's 200m Butterfly Final. The 24-year-old swimmer from Kerala has done in the past as well winning a silver in 100 Meter Butterfly at the Asian Indoor Games, Ashgabat 2017.
He won 6 Gold & 3 Silver medals at the India National Games, Kerala 2015 making him the most decorated and best athlete of the Games held in 2015. He has also represented India at the 2016 Rio Olympic games in 200 Meter butterfly. India has high hopes from him to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018.
