We thought 200 was a competitive total, so a bit disappointed that we lost that one. It's never easy. It's all about trying to keep things simple and not overcomplicate things. I stick to my gameplan and processes as much as I can. I try to work closely with Mike Hussey. He's got so much experience, not only here but in the international circuit. Shikhar Dhawan (PBKS captain): It feels very very special. Beating Chennai in Chennai is very special. Very pleased with the win. It shows the character of the side to come back after that loss. All credit to the team and support staff. Very happy with the way the bowlers bowled. We got them at the right score. The batters have been very consistent. The support staff wanted them to play more overs with the likes of Livingstone and Jitesh. Everyone's doing a great job at the moment.

Sikandar Raza: Every time you win a match for your team, you do well. Very happy with winning the game for the team. (Final ball chat) I was just looking at a lot of arms being waved from the dressing room. Maybe it was something to do with retiring, I'll find out more once I get into the dressing room. That's the beauty of franchise cricket. Every time you're given a role, you have to do what you have to do. With Shahrukh on the other side, we knew we were going to have to run for everything. When Livi took charge, that was the momentum shift. Jitesh has been striking really well in the IPL and that's why he got the promotion. The couple of sixes he hit came at the right time for us. I was trying to hit a four and a six, but I don't think I was succeeding there.

MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings captain: (On where it was lost) Couple of overs in the middle. It was important to be prepared, what kind of delivery you wanted to bowl - that is where we committed an error. When batting, could we have gotten 10-15 runs more at the end - that is something we have to look at. The wicket has been good. There is a bit of turn and there is something for the bowler. With the Impact Player rule, batters are going after the bowlers and that is why we are consistently getting these scores. (On par score) I think 200 was par. We know the conditions well and there were a few times we did not bowl the right lengths. You do not want to let the batters to hit straight. Important to see whether the execution was the problem or the plan was the problem. (On what he will say to his players) Nothing much, we have to see where we can improve. Pathirana bowled really well. Apart from the middle overs, first six can get better, especially for the fast bowlers. Apart from that, quite happy with the bowling.

This is the highest run chase against the Chennai Super Kings at this venue. It's also the first time the hosts have lost while batting first in a day game. That alone tells you how significant this run chase has been from the Punjab Kings. They had their task cut out, and boy, didn't they deliver at the end. Considering this was a day game, not many expected over 400 runs to be scored, but hey, no one's complaining, are we?

Chasing 200 against the Chennai Super Kings is never an easy task, especially in their own backyard. The Punjab Kings got off the blocks with a flyer courtesy of Prabhsimran Singh and Shikhar Dhawan doing their bit at the top of the order. The captain couldn't carry on from there but his partner sure did, before Ravindra Jadeja got a couple of wickets in the middle overs to put the squeeze on.

Around the halfway stage, the two sides were neck and neck with the hosts seemingly putting the squeeze on. It was until Liam Livingstone's assault on Tushar Deshpande, whacking him for 22 off the over before being dismissed. That over was the game-changing one as it turned out, with Jitesh Sharma picking up from where Livingstone left off.

Sam Curran couldn't quite break free like he usually does, and once he was dismissed by Pathirana, the game seemed to be turning on its head. Jitesh was dismissed soon after with Shaik Rasheed getting his first taste in the IPL, clinging onto a high pressure catch at the backend. That wasn't the end of the script though. The two overs went for 41, which put PBKS back in front.

In the end, it was Sikandar Raza who delivered for his side and got them over the line in a humdinger of a game. Pathirana did all he could at the death but didn't have enough runs to play with as the Punjab Kings eventually got the two points that keeps them in the hunt for the playoffs. Phew.
