THE LIONS ARE VERY MUCH THE INDOMITABLE LIONS AGAIN! What a match! What a final! They have well and truly deserved to break that 15-year-old drought -Oh and WHAT A PLAYER VINCENT ABOUBAKAR IS - and they have made a whole lot of Cameroonian players who turned down the call-up look very, very silly.

Egypt were excellent in the first half, but Cameroon were just something else in that second half. Their equaliser was a well-taken goal, but Aboubakar's winner was one truly worthy of a Continental Cup final.

Magnifique.

It was an absolute pleasure covering this, and I hope you had just as much fun reading.

94' Zoua walks off as Cameroon waste a bit of time by bringing on Mandjeck. Bassagog meanwhile find his legs cramping up. Of course he does

91' Fai gets a yellow card for a foul on Warda. It really was a foul by Warda!! Horrendous decision, and will Egypt use this stroke of fortune to push this brilliant game to added time?

90' Egypt have no choice but to commit forward, but it leaves them dangerously open at the back. Bassagog rips Elmohamady apart with a searing run down the left after brilliant hold up play by Aboubakar yet again, but his cut back is behind everyone else.

OH MY GOODNESS LORD WHAT A GOAL! OH MY! OH.... MY! Aboubakar controls a hopeful long ball on his chest before flicking it over his, and Gabr's, head with a lovely little touch before smacking it into the bottom corner with an excellent finish.

IT WAS THREE DEFENDERS... THREE EGYPTIAN DEFENDERS... AGAINST ONE MAN and that one man did it. WHAT A GOAL. WHAT A PLAYER

86' Al Said goes crashing into Bassagog, and Cameroon have another free kick. Neither team look willing to commit too much forward now. Extra time beckons...

85' Bassagog is running the show out here - and Sobhi has to resort to illegal means to stop another one of his runs down the left. Cameroon pass the ball around the back for a bit now as they ready themselves for a final onslaught.

84' Doesn't clear the first man. Rubbish.

83' Elneny picks out Al Said, but the playmaker's ball in is cut out - Egypt retain possession, though, and they stroke the ball around a bit as they catch their breath. Warda holds on to N'Kolou and then falls down - the ref is somehow convinced that's a freekick for Egypt and Al Said will look to whip this ball in.

82' UFF! Lovely chest control from Aboubakar and it allows him to release Moukandjo - but the Captain's ball runs out of play behind the goal. What a difference Vincent Aboubakar has made to this outfit.

81' OH This is a touch too much sportsmanship from Bassagog. Warda is on the ground at the other end of the pitch with a bout of cramp - and with the ref not blowing the whistle, he really had NO need to play that ball out.

78' AI AI AI AI! Bassagog finds Moukandjo with a lovely little ball, but the ball bobbles up at the last second and the Cameroonian's shot smacks off his ankle, and out of the stadium. It's not a very good football pitch, this.

77'... Zoua runs all the way from his own half to the edge of the box before mishitting a shot well wide. It is ALL CAMEROON right now. Bassagog plays in Moukandjo on the opposite wing, and the Cameroonians kickstart another bout of passing.

76' Siani tries an over elaborate crossfield ball, and gift Egypt the ball back - but the Pharoahs are treating the ball like the ancient ones treated cats... not touching the damn thing for more than a second...

75' Two minutes go by as Egypt try to suck the momentum out of Cameroon, and they manage to keep the ball in the opposition third... but only for about twenty seconds.

72' Cameroon are not flustered though, and they come roaring forward to win another corner. Moukandjo tries a near post routine with Zoua, but the Egyptians hold strong and that's that. Everyone takes a breather as Hadary uses all 44 years of his experience to take a moment... and tie his shoelaces.

71' nothing comes off the corner.... but at the other end, Sobhi picks out Salah with a lovely little ball and the ROMA MAN PULLS OFF THE MOVE OF THE TOURNAMENT AS HE LOBS THE BALL OVER OYONGO BEFORE KILLING IT WITH A LOVELY TOUCH. If only he had beat Ngadjui to the second ball, that would have been the goal of the tournament - by a country mile

70' UFF! CAMEROON ARE ROARING NOW! Aboubakar pulls out a couple of high speed stepovers before hammering a shot straight at Gabr. The ball falls to Moukandjo who has a pop of his own, but Gabr flings himself in front of that too.

69' Moukandjo plays in another lovely ball and N'Kolou wins yet another header in the box, but he just cant direct his header on goal.

68' Moukandjo clips it onto the far post, but Hegazi defends that one well. EVERYONE IS PUMPED UP NOW! Cameroon - who have a corner now - especially!

67' OOO! Hegazi looks flustered for the first time in this tournament. Zoua draws out a rather unnecessary foul from the Egyptian defender, and Cameroon have a freekick in a dangerous position.

66' Cuper is not happy with what he is seeing and hooks Trezeguet for the exciting 20-year old Stoke City man Ramadan Sobhi.

65' Fai has a pop from 40 yards - he really should have rolled it into the path of Aboubakar, and the striker lets him know exactly that.

64' But Cameroon are hell bent on doing something about their 15 year old AFCON drought. Moukandjo tries to whip in a ball into the lively Aboubakar, but Fathy is back covering well.

63' Egypt have not lost an AFCON final for 55 years. FIFTY-FIVE YEARS!!! and just to tell you how tough a task Cameroon are up against - no team has scored 2 goals or more against Egypt since November 2014 (21 games and counting)

62' The noise in the stadium is OFF the charts! Cameroon are a team on fire right now - Fai and Warda get into a bit of an arguement, but it's all nipped in the bud by the no-nonsense ref.

61' Dull affairs, eh these AFCON finals? HAH! Moukandjo goes on a gander down the right, but Fathy does really well to get in front of him and win a freekick.

Cameroon Equalise and it's from a superb delivery from Moukandjo. The Cameroonian skipper pumped it into the far post and N'Kolou ROSE MAJESTICALLY to absolute boss Hegazi in the air and power the ball into the net. GAME, WELL AND TRULY ON!

59' GOOOOOOOOOOALL!! N'KOLOU!!!!!!!!!!! AND It's from a cross!!!

58' UFFF! WHAT A BALL! Salah sweeps it in, and it takes an excellent header from Ngadjui to stop Wadr from nodding it in. The ball breaks to Bassagog who BREAKS AT EXTREME PACE...but Elmohamady sees him off and concedes a corner

57' Mo Salah is some player isn't he. He runs on to the ball, and then teases Oyongo into conceding a foul in a rather dangerous position. He'll now look to whip it onto the heads of hEgazi and Wadr

56' Again it's not for long - Bassagog, who has switched flanks with Moukandjo - tries to run at Elmohamady... he's stopped, but the ball comes back immediately.

55' Egypt are sitting deeper and deeper as they invite pressure. Fai tries to play in Moukandjo early, but the ball's overhit and Egypt have another breather.

54' The ball's worked out to Oyongo, but his early cross is not the greatest and Egypt have a goal kick... there's no relief though as Cameroon win the ball back immediately

53' Djoum and Aboubakar exchange quick passes before the former releases Fai down the right. The right back takes a second too long to put in a cross, and Trezeguet blocks it well.

52' It's not a great delivery, but they do win a corner off it... Moukandjo plays it in, but it's headed away by the ever present Hegazi. Cameroon come right back though and the pressure is beginning to enter the realms of relentlessness.

51' Fai prompts another attack down the right that ends with Trezeguet catching Bassagog on his heel near the corner flag. Can the lad now put Hadary under some pressure with a decent delivery?

50' Cameroon have listened to their coach now - and are putting in crosses into the box - the latest one from Bassagog is well cleared by Hegazi, but the Lions need to keep at it.

48' Fatih embarks on a rare foray forward and sweeps in a ball into the box that causes all sorts of bother N'Konou scraps it clear and it drops to Elneny, but the Arsenal's man smacks it well wide.

47' Bassagog and Fai combine down the let, but the former, instead of crossing it tries to play in Fai again. Aboubakar had made a really nice run into the box - and Bassagog really should have put an early ball in

Vincent Boubakar has replaced the ineffectual Robert Tambe, and Cameroon need to provide him some quality service.

Hadary has looked horribly susceptible whenever the ball has been flung into the box - but that's only been about three times. Cameroon need to do that much more if they are to stand a chance!

Egypt 1 - 0 Cameroon

Egypt take a well deserved lead against a rather toothless Cameroon outfit that could benefit from a 'hairdryer' or two from their coach during the break.

46' One minute of added time... Fatih, Elneny and Trezeguet almost combine with some delightful one-touch passing, but Trezeguet's last ball to Elneny is a bit behind him.

Why do these guys not play like this more? I know they are leading 1-0 and pragmatism wins you trophies and all that... but the Pharaoh's one-touch passing is mesmerisingly beautiful to watch

44' UFF! Said almooooost picks out Mo Salah with a superb pass, but Ondoa is alert and comes out to field it. Salah was well and truly behind the defence there - N'Koulou and Ngadeu really need to get their act together when up against the pace of Salah
