FULL TIME: N Ireland 0-1 Germany!

Die Mannschaft made it tougher for themselves with many poor efforts but they've done enough to top the group.

90': Germany have a corner to make it 2-0 but the ball eventually falls to Ozil whose effort goes wide of the post. A diving McGovern had it covered though.

HECTOR!!! Nope, another effort from range is waaay off target!

76': Howedes comes on for Boateng as Low looks to rotate and rest players before the Round of 16.

75': Kimmich is tired of trying to get an assist and takes matters into his own hands with a shot from outside the box. But it's an embarrassing effort and he turns away even before it lands outside the pitch.

74': CLOSE! Gomez almost gets on the end of Hector's teasing cross into the six-yard box but he can't stretch far enough and the ball harmlessly exits the box on the other side.

70': N Ireland win a free-kick but Germany assemble themselves in such a high line that ~~nothing comes off it~~ Germany win the ball and counter!

68': Sami Khedira makes way for Schweinsteiger and he's welcomed by a vocal crowd who chant his name as the announcer informs them.

66': It looks like Germany's joint top scorer Bastian Schweinsteiger is set to come on for the last quarter of the game.

60': A training ground routine sees Kroos lay it off for Muller but his shot is delayed a tiny bit and is blocked.

60': FOUL! Hector wins a free-kick on the edge of the box on the left. Will Kroos whip one in? Ozil also wants to have a go, as does Muller!

60': A couple of corners for N Ireland! The first sees Jonny Evans force Gomez into a clearance while the second is dealt with as Ireland still look for an equaliser.

59': ALMOST! Khedira pulls the trigger from range and forces McGovern into a block that allows Gomez to get to the rebound. However, his header is not the best and Ireland survive once again.

55': That's the last we'll see of Gotze as Andre Schurrle comes on to take his place.

Meanwhile, Blaszczykowski has put Poland up 1-0 against Ukraine in the other Group C fixture with a sublime curling finish!

52': SAVE followed by a MISS! Gotze had two chances to score! McGovern saves the first one after Gotze chests down a cross and pulls the trigger. The second effort goes wide of the post. Still 1-0!

How the World champions are not 5-0 up is anyone's guess.

"We're gonna win 2-1!" - Some very optimistic N Ireland fans at the stadium. It's been one-way traffic so far.

43': GOTZEEEE... Offside! A long ball into the box is headed forward to Gotze but his Bayern teammate was in an offside position. Even so, his shot was way off target.

41': CHANCE! Gomez has a shot on goal after Ozil slips it through to him inside the box but the shot is weak and easily saved.

40': Ireland are still looking to lump the ball forward. Manuel Neuer is in sleep mode at the moment.

30': GOAL! Mario Gomez makes it 1-0! Ozil, Gomez and Muller combine to eventually allow Muller to lay it off to Gomez whose shot is deflected into the back of the net.

27': CLANG! Kimmich's cross into the box sees Muller launch himself into a diving header that hits the near post and goes out much to McGovern's relief.

23': MISS! Kimmich sends a ball into the box that is chested down by Gomez into the path of Muller but his shot goes inches wide of the far post. He really should have scored there!
