HT : Portugal have been devoid of inspiration in the first half, Welsh started the half brightly but have also dropped off as the game went on. To be fair, there is more to talk about the player's hairstyles than the game.

43' A lovely cross-field pass by Alves, Nani brings it down, slips but gets lucky with the ball, tries to cross, cleared easily by Chester.

William Carvalho will be unavailable for this semi-final as his accumulation of yellow cards has ruled him out of this crucial match. Gomes missed the match against Poland with a thigh injury, but he’s expected to be available for this important fixture - they’ll need everyone. Pepe is also injured and expected to miss the game.

Chris Coleman will be unable to count on the mercurial Aaron Ramsey and Ben Davies, but he’s already certified Welsh fans that he knows who he’ll count on in their absence. They are both suspended for picking up too many yellows.
