Phew, that was some game. The two sets of players congratulate their rivals. Despite the refereeing decisions, it was a pretty fair result. Barca deserved the draw on account of playing an entire half with 10 men. Madrid created more but if you don't take your chances, you don't win games. We could have seen more than one red but let's not look back at that anymore.

It's still not over for Barca as they still have to see out their last two games. This was the big test and they've come out with a draw, albeit, a bit bruised. The draw will disappoint Zidane and Madrid, but they've got bigger things to worry about in the coming weeks. And of course, this was Andres Iniesta's final game in the Clasico, and boy did he put in a shift!

88' A bit of last ditch defending from Pique as he acrobatically clears a dangerous cross. Madrid manage to win the second ball but the cross is too close to Ter Stegen. AGAIN. Way too many times that has happened, lads. The crossing has been horrific in the second half.

86' Suarez is down but Madrid continue to play on until Paulinho clears it and halts play. Another little fracas. The away side have no obligation to stop unless it's a head injury. The ref didn't stop it.

84' A good phase of passing from the away side and Marcelo manages to put in a sweet cross. Just about cleared from Pique as Madrid get a corner. This is end to end.

78' The ball fizzles out of play as Lucas' pass is overhit. Barca have understandably lost control of the midfield and are playing predominantly on the counter.

77' Yellow card shown to Bale for a foul on Semedo! The ref has sort of lost control of the game. The foul on Marcelo was blatant! Barca have got away with one! Poor refereeing this.

76' Marcelo went down in the box and it seemed like that was a foul. The ref waves play on and Marcelo is absolutely furious!

75' The goal has given Madrid more confidence as they manage a good spell of possession again. Lucas, playing as a makeshift rightback, puts in a cross, but it's hopeful more than anything else and Ter Stegen collects safely.

Again, a goal out of virtually nothing. Bale had a lot to do after a sweet pass from Asensio. His pass was angled inch perfect for Bale who managed to curl it into the far corner. No chance for Ter Stegen! Madrid are level! What a game we have here!

71' Barca manage a succession of corners but are happy to play it short. Game management now from the hosts.

70' Messi with a chance! Navas with the save! Stunning save from the Costa Rican. Suarez played the perfect through pass for his teammate and he skipped past Varane to test Navas. Not the best shot he could muster and Navas manages to eke out a save.

69' Whatever Barca had in the tank seems to be over as the pressing had died down. They manage to take the lead so they still have something to defend.

67' Half a chance for Madrid but Asensio misskicks and Marcelo isn't able to collect the ball as Semedo reads it perfectly and shields it for a goalkick.

66' Madrid were much more comfortable playing against the 10 men but as the half passes, Barca are bound to tire and Madrid will have to take their chances then. They are seeing a lot more of the ball now...

65' Madrid have hardly done anything of note in the second half. The moves have been predictable as they try to stretch the Barca defence but Barca have defended more staunchly when the cross is being put in.

51' Jeez, Messi and Iniesta combine to nearly make something out of absolutely nothing but Madrid's sheer numbers at the back manage to stop the move from happening. That was vintage tikitaka.

50' Ronaldo's absence is actually a big blow. Because of how big a figure he was in the box, Marcelo always had someone to cross it to. Benzema doesn't have the same impact and Asensio is more of a winger.

49' Barca manage a brief spell of possession but are a bit cagey while getting it forward because of the red card. Madrid manage ti win the ball back

48' When you're under pressure, you need someone like Busquets. The Spaniard gets the ball with about three Madrid players pressing, but calmly shifts it with a delicate piece of skill. How easy was that?

47' Marcelo manages to dispossess Iniesta but his shot is pretty weak as Pique does enough to put him off. A goalkick. Madrid are going for the jugular already and are pressing high up the pitch.
