The way the game changed after that (Rashid's catch) - after the 8th or 9th over we were even-steven but it changed after that. They were chasing the game after that. The catch changed the game. We were under pressure at one point but it is important because in big games, we will be challenged and put under pressure. (Bragging rights over Krunal) I don't think so. Since today was a day game, we knew the wicket will slow down. I have practiced the knuckle ball but I have hurt my finger so it won't come out well. I am trying to keep the ball away from the batters and not be in their arc. I keep talking to Ashu bhai (Ashish Nehra) about a variety of things - mainly about how to mix the length delivery. strong>Krunal Pandya (Lucknow Super Giants captain): We just gave away too many runs. When you're chasing around 200 you can afford to take a couple of balls but when it's 227 you have to go all out. Overall the surface played really well. I think the last 6-7 overs it must have been slow but the batters felt it was a good wicket. If we had just restricted them in the first half we would have fancied our chance. Obviously you don't dream of all of these things

A clinical performance by the Gujarat Titans and they secure yet another win at home to fortify their position at the top of the table! They've gone up to 16 points already - which one would reckon are enough for a qualification. After putting up a massive total in the first innings, the bowlers have come out and done the job for them. Credit to the bowlers, they pulled things back magnificently after LSG got off to a flier and made it seem like the Super Giants were playing on a different, much larger ground. The pitch slowed down as well and Hardik Pandya's assessment of the track at the toss proved to be right.

Quinton de Kock and Kyle Mayers started off the innings in grand fashion, collecting 72 runs off the powerplay, to push GT onto the back-foot. They attacked Shami, Hardik and even took the Afghan duo of Rashid and Noor to the cleaners. However, after the powerplay is when GT announced their comeback into this contest. They started by dismissing Mayers, a wicket which sucked the momentum out of the LSG batting.

From there on, they never really got going. Quinton de Kock perhaps struggled for timing a touch in the searing heat at Ahmedabad on his return after having kept the wickets for over twenty overs. He kept losing partners at the other end as the GT bowlers ran through the middle order. In the end, the total proved to be far too much and LSG's big power-hitters couldn't get into the double digits as well.

A convincing performance and Gujarat Titans are just carrying on from where they left off last season. As for LSG, their net run-rate would've taken a big hit and they will have to certainly have to go back to the drawing board ahead of their next game.
