The Indian, who was taking on Jordan's Zaid Abo Yaman in the qualification match, has booked his spot in the Round of 64 of the men's singles event.

He will join India's poster boy Achanta Sharath Kamal in the main draw. The duo will look to make an impact in the stacked draw, led by top seed China's Wang Chuqin.

India's Harmeet Desai gets it done in four straight games. There was some nervous energy in the second game, but once he move into a 2-0 lead, there was no looking back for the seasoned campaigner.

He stuck to his aggressive gameplan, reaping rewards in the end. The deadly forehand drive was the standout shot from the Indian and he will look to carry the momentum as he now heads into the main draw!
