The silver medal is clinched by former World Record holder, Serbia's Zeljko Dimitrijevic with a best throw of 35.29m. The bronze medal has been won by Slovakia's Marian Kureja with a throw of 30.66m. A disappointing day for the two Indians who featured in this final. Amit Kumar finishes fifth with his season-best throw of 27.77m and Dharambir finishes eighth with a throw of 25.59m.
