India vs Indonesia: Badminton Asia Team Semi-Final

Suwardi and Pratama win the 4th tie 21-13, 18-21, 21-16 to take Indonesia to the finals.

And with the finals double tie going the way of Indonesia, India's men's side crash out of the Badminton Asia Team Championships in the semi-finals.

Suwardi and Pratama lead 11-10 in the decider. If they win, they will ensure India's exit from the Badminton Asia Team Championships.

21-18 in the second game to Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Akshay Dewalkar!

It's fairly even in the second game as Chopra and Dewalkar manage to hold level with their Indonesian rivals.. but it's Suwardi and Pratama who are back in a 16-14 lead.

21-13 as the first game of the second doubles match goes the way of the Indonesians!

The Indonesians are completely outplaying the Indians today, with some powerful smashes getting the better of Chopra and Dewalkar. The Indians trail 9-17 in the first game, with Indonesia leading the tie 2-1.

The Indians will play Ricky Karanda Suwardi and Angga Pratama.

Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Akshay Dewalkar take to the net now in the second men's doubles tie.

Indonesia have taken the second tie, with Ginting Anthony pulling off an upset of Ajay Jayaram in straight games - 21-15, 22-20.

And Anthony wins the second game 22-20!

After some back and forth, it's Anthony who beats his higher-ranked Indian rival in the first game. He wins 21-15.

Jayaram takes the lead back at 11-10 but can he hold on to it?

However, it's Anthony who leads 9-7!

Ajay Jayaram takes on Ginting Anthony in the next men's tie, and the 25th-ranked Indian is the favourite to beat his No. 34 rival.

The Indonesians, with a tighter game, are restricting their movements at the net - but with good effect! They lead 19-10 in the second game.

Now up 8-5 in the second, the Indonesian pair are cool and collected, with a minimal show of emotion at the net.

Game Indonesia! Setawan and Ahsan outclass Attri and Reddy to go 21-11 in the first.

Jwala Gutta, who with the women's team crashed out after a 0-3 loss to Korea yesterday, is cheering on the men's side.

Ahsan and Setawan are up 15-10...and the Indonesians look deep in concentration.

The Indian doubles pair play Mohamad Ahsan and Hendra Setawan. The Indonesian pair are leading 11-7.

India lead 1-0 with the doubles pair of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy up next.

It's game K. Srikanth! He beats Tommy Sugiarto 21-14, 23-25, 21-

Srikanth has taken a 16-8 lead over Tommy Sugiarto in the deciding game and is looking to clean the first match of the tie up quickly after the second game loss.

Sugiarto wins the second game 25-23 after a close fight with Srikanth, and the pair are now at a deciding set.

21-21 between Tommy Sugiarto and Kidambi Srikanth! Will the Indian win in straight games, or will this go to a decider?

Sugiarto took an early march in the second game and led for a significant time but it's now Srikanth who has equalised him! They're at 16-all.

Srikanth picks up three points in a row with a strong smash. He's level at 5-5 with Sugiarto, who led early on in the second game.

Game Srikanth! With some skillful play, he wins it 21-14.

19-13 to Kidambi Srikanth...and it's now game point to the Indian!

Srikanth is making quick work of Sugiarto, currently leading him 13-8, although he had led him 9-3 at one point - so Sugiarto is putting up a fight!

There is virtually nothing separating the two, with Sugiarto at 10th in the World Badminton Rankings, and Srikanth in 9th.

The first match of the tie sees Kidambi Srikanth take on Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia.

Elsewhere, the women's team crashed out in their quarter-final tie against Korea, routed 0-3.

The men's side recently made the semi-finals after a 3-2 victory over the Malaysian men's side.
