It has been a pretty slow day so far as the teams look to ensure that they have the right combinations in place ahead of the Auction that will take place in January 2019.

Manish Pandey, Ben Stokes, Jaydev Unadkat to be released?

Big-money signings from IPL 2018 Manish Pandey, Ben Stokes and Jaydev Unadkat could all be released from their respective franchises. According to reports, SRH are imploring life after Pandey, could managed a total of 284 runs in IPL 2018 after he was bought for 11 crores.

Rajasthan Royals are also considering the possibility of not having the duo of Stokes and Unadkat. While the former is expected to miss the latter stages of IPL 2019, the latter hasn't quite lived up to the hype.

Will Australia's strict guidelines impact players being picked for IPL 2019?

Already Mitchell Starc has been released and Glenn Maxwell is also reportedly set to be released. That might just be the result of Cricket Australia's strict guidelines ahead of World Cup 2019.

"It is a difficult period with the IPL being brought forward to accommodate the Cricket World Cup, and overlapping our domestic season," Clark said in a statement Thursday. "We will, as always, assess applications on a case-by-case basis but it is important the players understand our position in advance, so they have the clarity they need to make personal decisions," said Cricket Australia's interim team performance manager Belinda Clark.

Arguably the biggest move so far is Shikhar Dhawan going back to his hometown to play for the Daredevils once again. Sunrisers Hyderabad traded the Indian opener to the Daredevils in exchange for Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem and Abhishek Sharma.

09:58 (IST)15 NOV 2018

Another interesting development ahead of trade deadline day was KKR's decision to release Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc. That might also be down to the fact Australia's World Cup bound players will not be available for the final few weeks of IPL 2019.

09:51 (IST)15 NOV 2018

ICYMI: Chennai Super Kings released three players from their victorious IPL 2018 campaign. England pacer Mark Wood and the uncapped duo of Kshitiz Sharma and Kanishk Seth were released.
