58' Dynamos with their first goal-mouth action in the second half. Narayan Das with a cross in from the left finds Nandhakumar whose shot lacks power and goes straight to Karanjit who collects it with ease.

54' Chennaiyin finding their feet now. Augusto finds Isaac on the left, he cuts in and shoots. The angle of his shot was always going wide and it did.

49' MISS! Augusto sets up Salom on a plate but the former rushes the shot and the attempt is wide. Should have been 1-0 there for the home side. The Dynamos defence was caught napping there.

41' Augusto finds Sebia with an intelligent ball who gives it to Thoi Singh.

Thoi shoots and forced Dorronsoro to pull off a save. The resultant corner is cleared away by Narayan Das.

37' Dynamos failing to split up the Chennaiyin defence with several crosses, corners and through balls in the last few minutes. Chennaiyin defence looking relatively more resolute than usual.

32' Mihelic with a low cross towards Kaluderovic but Inigo Calderon is on the way to see it off for a Dynamos corner.

The resultant corner is dealt with ease and Chennaiyin recover.

26' Couple of way-ward attempts from both the teams. Crespi sets up Nandhakumar on the plate but the former fails to find the sweet spot on the ball, and skies it.

Sebia goes for the goal from distance. The shot is well wide of the target.

The corner is swung in by Olandi finds Sebia who heads it wide yet again.

18' Corner for Chennaiyin. Isaac with a pin-point delivery to Sebia who heads it straight into the crowd of players.

Isaac gets the second bite of the cherry but the second delivery goes out of play over everybody.

15' Passive play by Dynamos. Nothing much happening at either of the ends with Dynamos patiently building up from the back, trying to find an opening by passing it among themselves. Chennaiyin, for the time being are happy to sit back and hope for a counter against the current run of play.

10' Delhi Dynamos dictating play here with constant play up the pitch. They have successfully pinned the Chennaiyin defence way back in the half with crisp wing play accompanied with patiently building from the back.

6' Chhangte gets in couple of consecutive crosses from the left but the lofted balls lack accuracy on both the occasions. Chhangte did trouble his marker Francis Fernandes with his quick movement in the two moves.

2' SAVE! Salom earns a corner for Chennaiyin. Isaac swings it towards the far post, finds Sebia who heads it straight to Dorronsoro. Good early pressure from the away side.

Delhi Dynamos have never lost a game at home to Chennaiyin FC. Will the Lions continue their dominance at the Den over the two-time Champions?

Gregory on the disappointing start Chennaiyin have had, said, “Well, I do know what’s wrong. Obviously, when you see the video evidence you see where we made genuine errors. It’s just making people aware of it. Making the players aware of it, letting them see on video exactly some of the positions that we got ourselves in, which allowed opportunity for the opposition. We did so well to get ourselves 3-1 up against NorthEast and then it was just people not marking when they should have been marking. People not concentrating when they should have been concentrating and that gave opportunities to the opposition. It’s just little points we’ve highlighted to our boys and once we make sure that that side of their game is good, I’ve got no fears for the rest of the season.”

“We obviously know that we are playing against Delhi. They have a couple of our old players (Rene Mihelic & Bikramjit Singh) from last season who have both won gold medals (from last season). We are expecting a tough game,” said Chennaiyin FC coach John Gregory before the match.

It will be the first time that a team has lost all its four opening matches if Chennaiyin FC manage to lose this one tonight.

Delhi Dynamos have scored only three goals and have just eight shots on target. But Andrija Kaluderovic got the all-important equaliser against Kerala Blasters and despite his poor stat before that game, he has managed to shut his doubters now.

Out of eight matches between the two teams, Delhi Dynamos have been victorious four times and Chennaiyin FC have only one victory from their eight meetings. Three of the matches have ended in draws.

Two teams who are yet to win this season will lock horns at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the Capital when Delhi Dynamos take on Chennaiyin FC this evening.
While Dynamos at least have two draws, the defending champions Chennaiyin FC have lost all their three matches and are lodged at the bottom of the table.
Dynamos showed glimpses of what they are capable of in their previous game against Kerala Blasters. Although they needed a late equaliser from Andrija Kaluderovic, the performances of Romeo Fernandes and Lallianzuala Chhangte were inspirational.
Chennaiyin FC, on the other hand, leave a lot to be desired. This kind of start was definitely not expected from the two-time champions. The absence of Dhanpal Ganesh due to injury has left a hole in the midfield for CFC and others like Anirudh Thapa and Germanpreet Singh have been unable to fill in. What doesn't help is that Chennaiyin FC have conceded eight goals in their three games.
Dynamos, on the other hand, will miss the services of Marcos Tebar, who is still recovering from a hamstring injury.
“The important thing is that we are playing good football. We are creating chances and when we convert them, we will win matches. I hope that we win,” Dynamos coach Josep Gombau said.
Despite missing key players, three points will be the only thing on the minds of the players when they take the field this evening.
Jeje Lalpekhlua will look to get Chennaiyin FC going and manager John Gregory feels things will turn around for his team.
"You can always look at the reason why we have not started so well. But the effort that the boys have put in for all three matches is incredible. I certainly have no problems with the way that they have approached the games. It is just that we have made a couple of defensive mistakes. Big mistakes, which we rarely made last season in the 18 regular season matches,” Gregory said before the match.
