86'... OOOO MY LORD! Gross fizzed in an absolute peach of a ball that Duffy meets with a superb jump but the header is way to weak, and way to wayward to trouble De Gea.

OH MY! Another lovely Rashford ball can be cleared only till Young. He has a pop - and it takes a massive deflection off Dunk and loops into the far corner of the net. How United needed that.

66' A fighting, battling Lukaku raises the volume a notch by smashing into March with a lovely tackle, and winning another corner....

65' United look like they are playing a food ol' fashioned 4-4-2 but in reality that's more like a 4-2-4. Zlatan drops deep and attempts to pick Lukaku out, but Duffy's got that under control

63' Pogba smashes into the box - and is tripped - but for some reason the ref allows play to carry on until Zlatan wins a corner off Bruno. The corner comes to naught, despite some sweet, sweet skills from Rashford that had Propper seeing bees swarm around his head.

62' Propper smashes into Rashford and Mourinho takes the opportunity to take off Mata and bring on Ibrahimovic. Old Trafford absolutely loves the sight of him sprinting onto the field

60' When Brighton move forward they really do look threating. Murray, Gross and Knockaert exchange passes before Mata intercepts a weak March ball. The Spaniard is in turn bullied off the ball but Stephens ball into Murray finds the veteran well offside,

58' Brighton played the ball out for their winger to receive treatment but United don't see the need to give the ball back.... Murray is incensed and smashes into Pogba and that's a yellow.

57' That tackle has got the crowd going and decibel levels are at an all-time high (for the day, that is) as Knockaert continues to receive treatment on the pitch

56' A thundering Lindelof sliding tackle sets up another Manchester United attack but Valencia's ball into the box is cleared well. Knockaert is rolling around the ground in pain and United keep playing on - as is their right - till Rashford gifts it back.

54' Anthony Knockaert takes an age to set up a freekick on the half-way line and it's all almost worth the wait. He pumps a beautiful ball in, March heads it down and Murray looks like he'll do the ol' swivel, turn, and shot - but Pogba does exceptionally well to keep hte big man at bay.

46' Much to the collective relief of Old Trafford, Paul Pogba seems to be a-okay. On the pitch, March plays a Pogba-esque crossfield that finds Knockaert in all sorts of space. He lays it off to Gross. The German takes a touch then sends Smalling back to school with a delicious swivel of his hips... he pings it across the box but no one can meet it.

A first half of great entertainment but no end-result saw Brighton and Hove Albion give as good as they got - although there were spells of immense pressure from United that the home side really ought to have capitalised on.

46' Pogba seems to have picked up a knock and requires attention, and everyone in Red will be hoping that it's just a contact issue.

45' Nothing comes from the corner, but.... OH MY LORD! Rashford puts in another lovely ball that Lukaku rises highest to power a header at goal - Ryan does well to keep it out before Pogba stretches and prods it at goal from two yards... Ryan saves that too! Immense reflexes. Simply stunning.

43' Brighton are passing the ball around with easy confidence - and it's well earned, they're standing toe-to-toe with United and giving back as good as they get.
