India's disappointing run in the Paris Olympics 2024 continues with another fourth-place finish for medal contender Mirabai Chanu. She fell short by 1kg and finished behind Thai weightlifter Surodchana Khambao in the women's 49kg final.

INSANE!!! Defending champion Zhihui Hou lifts 117kg in her final attempt in Clean & Jerk to retain her title in the women's 49kg final. She has a total of 206kg (89kg in Snatch and 117kg in Clean & Jerk). 

Zhihui has also broken the Olympic Record in the women's 49kg event once again.
