Bengaluru FC's unbeaten run ends at 11 and that's mainly due to a fantastic performance by Mumbai City FC.
Paulo Machado scores in the first half and the Islanders hold on for the rest of the time to climb to the top of the table!
Sunil Chhetri's 50th ISL ends in disappointment but both teams are still the favourites to make the ISL playoffs. Also, Bengaluru FC have a game in hand.

And then suddenly, they break with Arnold surging through, tricking his way past Juanan.
But the attacker takes a bad touch and Gurpreet swoops in to the rescue.

Rafael Bastos shows a bit of skill at the edge of the box to skip past Harmanjot Khabra. He zooms into the touchline and squares it back but the BFC defence gets it away.

65' There's sudden burst of activity in the Mumbai City bench and that's because Sougou has picked up what seems to be a hamstring pull.

And the one time Sougou is not flagged off, he messes up the opportunity.
Sougou is all by himself and goes one-on-one with the goalkeeper after being played by Machado.
He hits the ball straight at Gurpreet who emphatically blocks it.

Arnold wreaks havoc at the right again, tries to trick his marker into committing. He drifts the ball into the near post for Sougou, but the forward is flagged offside. His seventh of the night.

Arnold finds acres of space on the right, takes his time and drops a cross into the centre. Nobody gets a touch and it falls to Bastos at the far side.
Sougou demands the ball be played to him but Bastos unleashes a shot, which takes a deflection off Erik Paartalu and moves out for a corner.

55' ONTO THE POST!
Rafael Bastos powers in from the edge of the box, sways his way past a couple of defenders before looking at the challenge and poking it into the goal.
The shot hits the side-netting and he receives a knock off that sliding tackle by Juanan. That's not a foul anyway.

Sunil Chhetri hasn't really had a proper go at the goal. This time he gets a chance after a scramble outside the box.
But he goes with it on the volley and shoots mildly right at Amrinder.

Subhasish Bose heads the ball up the field for Sougou, who bursts past the Bengaluru FC defenders onto the left with a touch of pace.
The forward picks out the bottom-right corner but the shot has little power and is collected by Gurpreet.

46' Change of sides but will it lead to change in fortunes for Bengaluru FC?
Their unbeaten run is facing its toughest test yet.
And here comes Mumbai's Arnold to try and make things worse.
What's meant to be a cross has gone over the bar and will be a shot off target.

Mumbai have scored the most goals from counters.
Machado's goal was their 9th of the season from a counter-attack and that tells you really how Mumbai have taken this game by the scruff of its neck.

Mumbai City go into the break with a one-goal cushion, a tacky finish by Paulo Machado after a quick break following a Bengaluru FC corner.
Bengaluru FC would be ruing the chances they missed with Juanan Gonzalez having a free header towards the end of the first-half and just unable to put it through.
Rahul Bheke and Xisco had half chances for BFC but it's Mumbai who have the edge right now.

44' The third Mumbai City player goes into the referee's book. This time, it is a genuine offense as Bastos falls over Xisco from behind.

41' Gurpreet releases the ball too early after picking up a free-kick by Machado.
Mumbai City's Anwar Ali punts it back and Sougou is flagged offside for the fourth time.

39' Frustration growing for Bengaluru FC.
Dimas connects well with Chhetri outside the box but the skipper has a poke at goal, which is way off the mark.

36' Bengaluru FC are unable to make anything off that free-kick.
In the mean time, Jorge Costa has more to complain about the referee's ridiculous decisions against his team here.

31' Souvik Chakrabarti with a two-footed challenge at the edge of the box on Sunil Chhetri, a foul which should have earned him a red.
But it's a yellow shown to Sougou for dissent instead.

Mumbai break on the counter after Bengaluru FC's fourth corner is whipped away by Arnold. Rafael Bastos leads the charge and picks out the run by captain Machado with a wonderful through-ball.
Machado gushes in, BFC defence thinks he's going to pass but he picks his spot and fires a low-lying shot beyond Gurpreet.
Superb finish but what about that celebration afterwards, eh?

26' Two questionable calls in just one minute.
Sunil Chhetri with a shove in the Mumbai City box to rush to a corner and then Erik Paartalu pulls Sougou's jersey in his own half.
No foul for the first one, which infuriates Costa, while the referee Tejas Nagvenkar awards BFC a foul for the latter!

24' Dimas Delgado does well to win the ball from Machado and shows his ire on Raynier for the follow-up challenge. But Xisco is anyway brought down at the half-line and BFC are awarded a free-kick.

21' Second offside call against Sougou. Should we start a counter for the number of times he's caught offside in this game?

Udanta Singh does well to curl it towards the far post from the edge of the box. An acrobatic effort by Rahul Bheke, who is at the left post, goes over the frame.

Amrinder called into the action this time with Udanta finding Rahul Bheke wide and the left-back setting up Xisco for a shot.
The ball is behind Xisco but he adjusts his position to get a shot in. It bounces wildly before Amrinder pushes it over the bar for a corner.

15' SAVE!
A quick throw in from the right allows Arnold Issoko to move up quickly and drop it into the centre of the box, Sougou meant to be the target. BFC goalkeeper Gurpreet rushes in front of Sougou to collect it before there's any harm done.

12' Ouch!
Raynier stays on the ground and seems to be in pain after clipping his own leg.
Play stops for a minute before the Mumbai City midfielder gets back up.

10' Mumbai City controlling the play now, shifting the flanks continuously with Machado, Bastos and Sougou combining well. But they can't proceed further because the BFC defenders are at their faces and are shutting out the space quickly.

6' Paulo Machado too takes a free-kick - from the wrong spot if I may add - and plays it out wide to Sougou, but the forward cannot get to it on time.

5' Udanta wins a free-kick after being clipped by Subhasish Bose. But Xisco is in a hurry to take that and fires it way over the bar.

4' A couple of half-chances here and there with Erik Paartalu getting a shot, which is way off target, and Harmanjot Khabra unable to provide a cross from the right.
