Mumbai stay on top with a point, and Atletico de Kolkata move up to third behind NorthEast.
It was a fascinating contest, with the first half being clearly dominated by Mumbai and their fluid, free-moving attack. Defederico - the best Mumbai player by a mile - gave the home side a deserved lead, with a well-taken goal. In the second half, Kolkata came back strongly and as Javi Lara's influence on proceedings increased, so did the threat posed by his side. His goal came as a result of a fortunate deflection - but it was his directness that created the goal and it was well deserved. The second half was all Kolkata - and Molina's decision to take off Hume for Pearson stands vindicated.
The first points dropped, the first goal conceded for Mumbai - and the first draw in the Mumbai-Kolkata fixture in ISL history is the result.
It was a great game to cover, and it was a pleasure doing it with you guys.

Matias Defederico has been excellent! He's timed his runs very well, he's dribbled with purpose and he took that chance with aplomb!
Well, that certainly was interesting. Without a fixed point of reference at the top of the pitch for Mumbai, the Kolkata defence failed to pick up any of the deep runs made by the attacking midfielders of the home team. It was the whole false nine philosophy working to perfection and it was a joy to watch - Guimaraes should take a bow here, especially if Mumbai manage to hold on to the lead.
