Sushila Devi loses!

The Hungarian pinned India's Sushila Devi for the full 20 seconds to claim the Ippon and win the match. The fight still had a minute and 20 seconds left. The Indian fought hard for a major part of the bout until she committed a small error. The slip up proved to be fatal for the Indian and cost her the match. This brings an end to the Indian's Olympic campaign. It was always going to be tough for the 26 year-old from Manipur at the world's premier sporting competition. A tough draw didn't help much either! Sushila was the only Indian Judo athlete at this year's Olympic games.

Sushila has represented India at several international competitions. Her most notable achievements are a silver medal at the 214 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the Asian Youth Championships.
