PKL 2024 Auction Live Updates Day 2: Teams look to complete their squads with 2 categories and over 200 players to go under the hammer

The second day of the PKL auction was action packed with over 400 players going under the hammer. While many remained unsold, the day was filled with a few intense bidding wars and some impressive bargain buys. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the return of South Korean star Jang Kun Lee, who is set to make his return to PKL after five seasons. The raider who was bought for ₹17.50 lakhs will join the Patna Pirates camp for the upcoming season.

Apart from Lee, a surprise was Rahul Chaudhari going unsold. The star raider announced his retirement after the season but unfortunately for fans it looks like we’ve already seen the last of him. Looking ahead at the season, some teams appear more settled than others, it will be interesting to see who ultimately claims the PKL crown this year.

Pranay Rane, part of U Mumba last season, will be plying his trade for Bengal Warriorz, who acquire his services for ₹13 Lakhs

We are back and the first player to go under the hammer is Sagar Kumar. Bengal Warriorz bid for him and secure the all-rounder for a price of ₹13 Lakhs

Despite the completion of the unallocated round, Tamil Thalaivas are a few players short. Another round of nominations follow and the teams will be sending in their players which they wish to acquire

Vinay is the last player in the auction. Dabang Delhi K.C. acquire the player for his base price of ₹13 Lakhs!

Nitesh goes to the Gujarat Giants. They acquire the defender for his base price of ₹13 Lakhs

Satish Kannan goes to U Mumbai for his base price of ₹13 Lakhs!

Haryana Steelers make a move for Sanskar Mishra. The first bid for the player is the last as they secure him for ₹9 Lakhs

Jaipur Pink Panther and Haryana Steelers show interest in the Tamil Nadu raider K. Dharanidharan. In the end, it is Jaipur Pink Panthers who secure him for the next season at ₹13 Lakhs

Aashish Kumar is snapped up by U Mumba for ₹9.00 Lakhs

Lucky Sharma, who was a part of Jaipur Pink Panthers, joins them again for a price of ₹13 Lakhs

Jatin from Category C is up next and Bengaluru Bulls make a sale in this auction, acquiring him for ₹13 Lakhs

Vaibhav Garje from Category B is up next and the Bengal Warriors secure him for his base price of ₹20 Lakhs

Gujarat Giants continue to stack up defenders as they now acquire the services of Manuj for his base price of ₹13 Lakhs

Gujarat Giants acquire another player, this time Haryana's Mohit who joins the Giants for ₹13 Lakhs!

Rinku Narwal is the next name and Dabang Delhi K.C. makes the opening and the closing bid for the player. He will be joining them for ₹13 Lakhs

Gujarat Giants raise their paddle for Harsh Lad. Their first bid is the winning bid as they secure the player for ₹13 Lakhs

Aadesh Siwach is the next player. Gujarat Giants snap up another player for their base price. Siwach is a Giant for ₹9 Lakhs

Himanshu Singh is up next and Gujarat Giants open the bidding. The first bid is also the last bid as Gujarat Giants get him in for ₹9 Lakhs

Naveen is the next game and Haryana Steelers make the base and the winning bid of ₹9 Lakhs

And we are off. Ravi Kumar from Category C is the first name to go under the hammer. Jaipur Pink Panther seal the defender for his base price of ₹13 Lakhs

Patna Pirates bid for Pravinder. Tamil Thalivas want a piece of the raider from Haryana too. The bid is up to ₹13 lakh and counting. That will be that. Pravinder, the Pirate is the highlight we might see next season!

UP Yoddhas bid for Akshay R. Suryawanshi, as do the Tamil Thalaivas. The Yoddhas get him for ₹12.90 lakh!

Puneri Paltan give the opening and closing bid for Aryavardhan Navale. He joins the Paltan for base price!

Pink Panthers and Warriorz are battling it out for Arjun Rathi, the raider from Uttarakhand. The Bengal Warriors splash ₹41 lakh to acquire his services for the next season.

Himanshu will represent the Gujarat Giants in the PKL next season. They get him for ₹9 lakh.

Dabang Delhi add Parveen to their ranks, buying him for a base price of ₹ 9 lakh.

M. Dhanasekar joins U Mumba for ₹9.40 lakh!

Akash Chavan is brought by the Bengal Warriorz for ₹9 lakh.

Ashish Gill fetches an opening bid of ₹ 9 lakh. Haryana Steelers bag him at base price.

Tamil Thalaivas bid for Sambhaji Wabale, so do the Bengal Warriorz. We've got a bidding war, folks! Bengal Warriorz get Sambhaji Wabale ₹12.90 lakh. They also acquire Hem Raj at base price.

Rahul is heading to the capital city. He will represent Dabang Delhi, who acquire him for ₹ 9 lakh.

Haryana Steelers bid for Manikandan S from Tamil Nadu. The bid of ₹9 lakh is good enough for them to get their man, despite Gujarat Giants giving it a bit of consideration.

Mohd. Aman manages to get some bids going. Pune and UP are in for the defender. He joins the Paltan for ₹16.20 lakh!

Mayank Malik is going pink next season! Jaipur Pink Panthers acquire the services of the defender at base price.
