Real Madrid beat Bayern on aggregate, 4-3, and they will reach their fourth bloody final in five years. 4 in 5. Ridiculous. Bayern were massive value for money this time around, and this game could really have ended 6-6 and nobody could have complained.

No European glory for Heynckes this time, a chance at equalling Bayern's record 3-in-a-row for Zinedine Zidane's amazing band of men. Congratulations to the winners, Commiserations to the losers.

95' Bayern win a goalkick after what feels like an eternity, and everyone in red is racing into the Madrid half! Ribery floats an aimless ball into the box and Marcelo hacks it clear... hiago sends it back and Varane heads powerfully clear....

93' The eedjits at Ten haven't told us how much time's been added on, so I can't tell you either. On the pitch, Javi Martinez is found by a superb header from Thiago - he looks to play in Lewandowski who's found a nice little garden of space inside the Madrid box, but Navas flies through the air to grab it.

92' THIS IS SOME INSANSE STUFF! The corner leads to another corner as Ramos wills every inch of his being to get to the aerial ball ahead of Robert Lewandowski! From that corner, Hummels sends a free header woefully wide! OH MY!

75' Tolisso's reward? A substitution as big Sandro Wagner comes on in his stead! Bayern don't ease up - Ribery flies down the left and lifts a basic ball into the box where James' shot needs a superb block from Varane to stop it becoming a real game-changer

74' WOAHOHOH! NAVAS, WHAT A SAVE! Alaba, in acres of space down the left lifts one in - Muller heads it back into the box where Tolisso turns on a dime and slams a shot at goal that takes a truly magnificent save from Navas to keep out

72' Zidane uses the stoppage to take of the excellent, excellent Benzema and Kovacic with him for Bale and Casemiro

71' OH! After some neat passing about, Modric looks to slip in Ronaldo but Hummels reads it easily. Tolisso is then fouled by Kroos and Bayern take the welcome break from Madrid's pressure

68' OH MY! James speeds into space on the right flank where Marcelo (you read that right) is back to cover. The Colombian slips past his ex-mate's dive and feeds Lewandowski but the big Pole's strike is frantically blocked by Vazquez on the line

67' A loose pass from Thiago enables Marcelo to bomb forward, from which Asensio wins a corner; that comes to nothing. Kimmich then dives into Marcelo and somehow wins a freekick

65' Lucas Vazquez and Mateo Kovacic pick up yellows as they take it in turns to take out Bayern's midfield; from the setpiece, Madrid counter but Benzema gifts it away

64' One for Bayern, and they'll go through on away goals! Madrid know this and press forward - they win a corner, but Ramos sends his header into orbit. How much will Ronaldo rue that miss come the end of the night?

UFF! Sule whipped in a delightful ball that James smashed first time - Varane blocked it, the ball rebounded back to the Colombian and from an angle and five yards out, he slipped it under Navas and into the far corner. He doesn't celebrate - but that goal's changed the complexion of the game once again!

Madrid move forward where Benzema holds it up and tries to play in Ronaldo; but Hummels reads his telegraphed instructions easily

60' Ramos again!!! Ribery, this time, sends a lovely ball in - somehow Ramos gets his noggin' in there just before Lewandowski can collect

59' OH RAMOS! The corner's flicked on by Sule and it takes some awesome defending from Ramos to make sure Lewandowski doesn't get to it

58' Ribery and Alaba try another number on Modric and Vazquez, but the Croat reads their intentons and is in place to block the Austrian's cross from inside the box.

56' Alaba motors down the left; lifts in a routine pass that Varane miscues for a corner; which comes to nothing - Varane breathing the heaviest sigh of relief in the stadium.

Should have been three!

52' OH LUKA! The Croatian magician curls the most sumptuous of balls into the six yard box from the right flank (at the end of some very pretty one-touch passing from Ronaldo, Asensio and Benzema I must add) but the ball passes inches by both Benzema and Ronaldo!

51' Ramos and Lewandowski clash in the box, the Pole falls over and cries foulplay but the ref waves play on - rightly as replays proved conclusively

50' OH ULREICH! HEARTS IN MOUTH MOMENT AGAIN! Kroos looks to play in Benzema through the middle, and almost succeeds, but Ureich reads it well and heads it away outside his area!

49' Alaba runs at Modric, cuts in and leathers one off his supposed 'weaker' foot - it takes a tiny deflection and brings out a rather magnificent save from Navas. As befitting a save of that quality, the corner comes to naught

48' OH! Benzema motors into the box, one-vs-one against Hummels, but before he can get a shot away, the German defender gets a leg in. Half-hearted Madrid cries for a penalty are duly ignored

47' With Bayern pressing high up the pitch, Marcelo looks to release Asensio into space; but Hummels reads it easily...

OH MY LORD! OH! MY! LORD! Under pressure from Kroos, Corentin Tolisso passed the ball back to his goalkeeper... Ulreich came to collect, sliding on his hips, realised he can't handle it, tried to kick it... and the ball rolled past him and into the path of Benzema; who rolled it into the empty goal! WHAT A BLUNDER! WHAT A MASSIVE GIFT!

"Rather than 4-3-3 or the 5-3-2 which you've mentioned, what I think is Madrid will start with a flat 4-4-2 with Modric and Asensio flanking right and left side of the midfield respectively and Kroos alongwith Kovacic forming the double pivot. However I must admit, if Benz doesn't play efficiently as a link between them and Ronnie, Madrid will have to attack from the flanks, not the best of options against Ribery and Alaba in such a huge match"
