REAL MADRID 3 - 3 LAS PALMAS

What an epic game! Las Palmas completely outplayed Real Madrid (even when they were at 11 v 11) and deserved the win, but a couple of iffy refereeing decisions for both sides and 6 superb goals later, this match could only have ended one way.

Ronaldo had a horrendous game, and yet scored two. Because, well, Ronaldo.

Jese was superb - but lacked the finishing that could well have put the icing on the cake for his return to the Bernabeu. Jonathan Viera, Tana, Castellano... there were a host of superb performances from the visitors.

Bale's sending off at 1-1 was pure frustration, eked on by the crowd you must say, and it took the pure finishing genius of Ronaldo to save atleast a point from the game.

A wonderful game to cover, and totally worth any lost sleep. Thank you for reading.

66' Toni Kroos takes a typically excellent freekick, and it should have been a corner, but goal kick it is according to the referee. Jese breaks forward at speed, but Madrid's best player on the night, Kovacic closes him down.

65' Ronaldo is played in... his first touch is lovely, second rubbish and third sunday league at best. Isco is taken off and Lucas Vazquez is brought on.

62' Mesa breaks from that mayhem and it's 2 v 2. Mesa draws Ramos towards him, before slippin in Jese. The latter slips past Nacho, cuts on to his left and attempts a curler... that forces a lovely save off Navas!! What a game this is turning out to be.

With Madrid streaming forward, the ball is punted back upfield and Boateng outstrips Marcelo and calmly slips the ball under an onrushing Navas. This is a ROUT!!!

Ramos does well to block a Boateng effort first with a brilliant block, and then blocks Simon's effort with his hands. But those hands were on his chest! WHAT A POOR DECISION!

54' Ronaldo is released into the box, and he does exceptionally well to keep the ball in and play it to Morata. The Spaniard invites the ire of his senior colleague by wasting Ronaldo's hard work with a wild curler.

52' Everytime a Las Palmas player brings a Madrid player down, the whistles and appeals for cards from the crowd grow louder... Ronaldo meanwhile looks to slip in Carvajal, but Castellano is having none of that.

50' Bale was such a fool to be lured into anger at nothing, really. Superstardom and all that is alright, but that was the right decision from the ref. Two yellow cards in two seconds is just plain silly.

49' It's all down to Ronaldo now, isn't it? Kroos goes on a meander down the middle of the pitch before Mesa and Boateng bring him down. Kroos takes the kick and there are FOUR MADRID guys offside as Las Palmas pull off their audacious offside trap yet again.
