We have the last subdivision left. Remember, the top 8 gymnasts qualify for the finals.
So we are done with the Subdivision 4 and Dipa Karmakar is now at the 7th spot.
The only event where Dipa can win a medal is in VAULT. She is currently SIXTH in the event after subdivision 3 got over. Subdivision 4 and 5 are yet to take place and if the athletes there don't manage to displace Dipa from the top 8, the 22-year-old from Agartala will contest for the medal on 14th August in the Vault apparatus medal rounds.
Subdivision 4 qualification will start at 2 am IST, while Subdivision 5 will start at 5 am IST. So we will have to wait until around 7 am IST before we know whether Dipa Karmakar has qualified for the vault final or not!
17 gymnasts will compete in Subdivision 4, while 20 will compete in Subdivision 5. So Dipa has to hope that not more than 2 of the remaining 37 gymnasts get a higher score than 14.850 in vault!
Explaining how Dipa is still in the running:
Contrary to popular belief right now, Dipa hasn't qualified for the vault finals yet. She is 6th in vault from 3 subdivisions, but there are still 2 subdivisions to go. So if 3 ppl from the next 2 subdivisions get a higher score than 14.850, Dipa will not go into the final.
If the results from subdivision 4 & 5 go in her favour, and Dipa (6th currently) manages to stay in the top 8, she will go through the final in the Vault event, scheduled for 14th August.

So the final results are in! Dipa hasn't yet qualified for the vault finals with a score of 14.850, as she is in 6th place but could possibly fall lower if the next gymnasts get better scores. But has missed out on all the other categories. That's not entirely unexpected though, because vault was always going to be her strongest routine. Her medal chances remain pretty much the same as they were before the start of this qualification event!
Dipa is now 27th in the all-round standings, as the last few gymnasts are registering some strong scores. This means goodbye to the chances of qualifying for the all-round final, unfortunately.

Just a handful of gymnasts left to carry out their routines, which means Dipa could very well hold on to her 23rd place in the all-round standings.

With the score of 12.033, Dipa is 41st in the floor exercises standings. No chance of qualifying for the finals in that category then!

For those disappointed with the fact that Dipa Karmakar does not look to stand a chance to qualify for the finals of all the other events, it needs to be remembered that she was tipped to win a medal only in the vault, which she has a good score in. In other words, India's medal chances have not faded in the least.
Dipa is 6th in the vault standings with a score of 14.85, while the table topper Hong Un Jong has a score of 15.683. The 3rd placed gymnast, Maria Paseka of Russia, has a score of 15.049. That suggests Dipa will have to aim for 15 or higher in the finals, if she hopes to win a medal.
Did you know: Dipa Karmakar was flat-footed when she started out in the sport! A BIG disadvantage in gymnastics. Yet, she is the country's best gymnast.
Rotation 4 is about to start, where Dipa will compete in floor exercises. As things stand, she is on course for qualifying for the vault finals, but is likely to miss out on the balance beam, uneven bars and all-round finals.
Dipa has a combined score of 39.632 after 3 rotations, and the 24th placed gymnast has 43.799. Can she make up the difference of 4 points to somehow finish in the top 24, thereby qualifying for the all-round final? It's a tough ask.

This is the 10th best score on the balance beam. Unfortunately for the Indian, this is also the worst score in the same event.
Despite the underwhelming score in balance beam, Dipa has somehow managed to climb up in the all-round standings; she's now 30th there. But it doesn't seem like she has a good chance of qualifying for the all-round finals; there's just one routine left (floor exercises), and she has 6 spots to climb. Unlikely, but possible! She has to believe in herself.
